How to eat as a teenage athlete?
I am 15 years old, going on 16 very shortly. I'm about 5' 10" and around 140 lbs. I'm a wrestler so this is where my problem starts. I also am starting soccer this year so I know I can't be starving myself if I want to play. Anyways, I need to understand how to eat healthy and give my body enough nutrients to play at peak performance. I don't really understand all this carb and vitamin and protein talk, I don't know what foods are good or bad. I was hoping someone could tell me a good, healthy way to eat that will give me enough energy to not be so tired. I'm planning on cutting weight for wrestling to wrestle at about 132, so I was also hoping someone could tell me the best, healthiest way to lose weight without dying of starvation. I also need to understand what all these terms like carb and good fats and stuff mean and what they do.

How to get back into soccer?
I played soccer from U8 up to 7th grade and then I quit. Then I joined wrestling in 8th grade. I'm in 10th grade now and wrestling is my life but I want to join soccer again since I really liked it and I could use the extra workout before wrestling season. The problem is, soccer already started and I think I can join still for this season. But I'm nervous to join. Should I join this year or wait till next year? Also, how should I start training if I wait for next year? I'm in pretty good shape, I can run for long distances but idk if I'm in soccer shape. I'm just nervous to join and be bad and embarrass myself.

2 AnswersEnglish Football (Soccer)7 years agoHow to get bigger for freshman wrestling?
I am a varsity starter on my wrestling team at 132 which is a stud weight in my state, with lots of seniors and juniors. So far, all the kids I've wrestled besides maybe a couple have been a lot stronger than me, and I just barely survive off of speed and technique. I want to know how to get stronger without really gaining a lot of muscle weight. I'm 15 and a freshman, so I obviously won't be as strong as these seniors, but I'd like to be able to compete with them strength wise. Any suggestions?
1 AnswerWrestling7 years agoHow to get better at singing?
Okay so I'm 14 years old, soon to be 15, and my voice is still a little raspy. I love singing, I used to be in choir so I've always liked singing. The problem is, I hit puberty and now my voice is deeper, and I'm still not used to singing with this voice. I hit puberty a while ago and I'm pretty much done w/ the voice cracks, it's just my voice still sounds really raspy sort of, like it vibrates a whole lot when I talk. It's hard to explain, but it really makes it hard to sing. I can sing low, quiet songs and songs that have deeper vocals, but any time I try to raise my pitch while singing it ends up sounding weird. I'm still moderately good at singing, but I won't actually feel I'm good at it until I can master singing in different tones and my voice isn't as raspy. Any suggestions or things to do on how to make my singing any better?
5 AnswersSinging8 years agoWhat is the best exercise to prepare me for football season?
I'm going into football for my first time in 9th grade. I'm 5' 9", about 115 lbs, and have never played football before. I can throw the a football pretty far, and I was considering playing either QB or RB/WR, but I would like to know what the best exercises for me to prepare for these positions would be. I am not that strong, so either way, I'm definitely looking to put on some muscle, but I could also work on speed and endurance, even though I am already pretty fast and agile. I need to know the best things to prepare me for any of those spots.
3 AnswersFootball (American)9 years agoFirst year football player tips?
I'm 14, about 5' 9", maybe 115-123 lbs, and I'm going into 9th grade, and planning on trying out for football. I'm pretty fast, and I can throw and kick pretty far (I used to be a soccer player) but the other people on my team have been playing for years. Any tips on how to keep up with them at practice and on the field?
