question about photo sharing on facebook?
There is a facebook group where admins of other facebook groups can ask eachother questions and give eachother help. The problem is that lately, in this group some of the admins of online rummage sale pages are taking their members photos without permission and reposting them to make fun of the items the person has for sale, the cleanliness of their home, etc. My question is, is this against facebook rules? is it legal? morally ethical? Personally, it disgusts me an I would like to see it stop.
Facebook8 years agoIs the universe messing with me?
So the other day, I was ferociously cleaning my house and whenever I ferociously clean my house, my mind wanders and the particular thing I was thinking about was this person I was involved with last year. We'll call him jack. I was just thinking about how that didnt work out..it wasnt all bad or all good..just didnt work out and I was thinking about how I was okay with not being hung up on that person anymore. And literally minutes later, this person contacted me out of the blue.
Now, this was pretty casual, it's not like there was a breakup or any serious feelings involved so I got together with this person again and have been having happy, I would like to see this person again, feelings. So I'm sitting here having these thoughts and thinking it would be nice to hear from "jack" and just as I am thinking these things, another person named jack I was previously involved with conacts me out of the blue.
so my question is.. wtf, universe?

Is it worse for a man to pay his child support consistently but not be involved with their child at all or for a man to be a good father to their child but refuse to pay child support? Which situation would you rather be in?
3 AnswersOther - Pregnancy & Parenting8 years agoWould you go back to work if these were your circumstances?
A few years ago I became disabled when a medication I was put on caused me to have severe insomnia among other problems. I've been disabled about 5 years. Sometimes things are better, mostly they are about the same. Major problems with sleep and minor issues with anxiety and agoraphobia.
Sometimes when I'm feeling better, I feel obligated to go back to work. I tried to in fall and worked for 3 months but it was a major struggle. I am a single parent of two small kids and was so exhausted and barely functional as a parent most of the time and couple with the fact that this was an absolutely horrible place to work, I quit. If I do go back to work,
If I go back to work, I could either work part time and keep my social security or work full time and lose it but the problem is, I was making so much money before I became disabled that it is difficult to find a full time job that pays enough for me to not be losing money by going back to work. If I take a part time job, I can keep my disability payments but they were taking so much out of my checks because I was making too much money and cut our insurance and when you factor in gas money, I really wasn't making very much money working part time either.
So would you get a job if it didn't positively impact your financial situation and if it was hard on your health? As a side note, the only reason I really consider it is because the way people treat you when me because I'm not working. Family and all of these "I just went to work to pay your bills, you're welcome" posts online make me feel two inches tall when I have a day where I felt okay enough to have worked. What would you do?

2 AnswersLesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender8 years agoWhat could be causing these symptoms?
For the past couple days, I am having body aches all over. I have issues with chronic muscle pain, this is different. I also have trouble with insomnia. It almost feels like my muscles feel sick. I also have an awful headache. I have tried ibuprophen, advil, tylenol, ibuprophen and tylenol at the same time and I also take a muscle relaxer twice a day already but nothing is really helping. I do not have a fever or any other symptoms of being ill. however..
All of my children have been sick in the past 2 weeks. My son got a tummy bug two weeks ago on a friday that lasted a little over 24 hours. He displayed the exact same symptoms a week later on friday and was better by monday. Shortly after, I was caring for another child who got sick too. My daughter got sick this same weekend and so did my niece. So I've been combating sick kids for two weeks and now I feel lousy.
I dont know about anyone else, but I can care for sick kids and make them better but when I dont feel good, I have a terrible time figuring out what it is and how to fix it so I'd appreciate suggestions.
1 AnswerOther - Health8 years agoBruising from massages?
I have chronic pain and I've been seeing a physical therapist at the hospital for massage therapy. He does deep tissue massage, 1 hour appointments once per week. He works on my neck, shoulders, right arm, hips and tailbone and with the level of pain I'm always in, massage greatly improves my quality of life but I have some symptoms afterwards that worry me.
When I get home from my massage, I HAVE to go to sleep. My body feels heavy and drained. When I wake up, I always have a splitting headache. My skin feels hot to the touch and the areas that were worked on, that normally feel like tight knots now feel like I have water under my skin. Like my muscles have been pulverized. I usually feel like I have a lowgrade fever and feel sick for 2-3 days every time and I often end up with bruises.
Does anyone else have experience with regular deep-tissue massage and bruising? My massage therapist says it's normal but almost sounds like he doesnt believe me but a massage therapist my mom works with says it is not normal at all.
1 AnswerPain & Pain Management8 years agoMy niece got sick at my house?
I had my niece over for a couple nights. She is three. Last week, one of my kids had a tummy bug but was doing much better and I completely sanitized the house so I didnt think it would be an issue but now my niece is throwing up and I am so worried about telling my sister. She wont just be mad, she will be REALLY mad. Her kids are a lot younger than mine, (3 and a newborn) and she just absolutely freaks out if someone even coughs in the vicinity of her kids and will skip holidays if someone has been sick. She already believes that my kids are sick constantly ( which they aren't) and she thinks I lie to her about whether they've been sick or not. I'm never going to live this down.
So I have to say something right? I mean.. I know I do. What if she is just magically better when she wakes up? She's still sleeping, was up until 4am sick, do I have to say something if she's not sick anymore? I guess these are mainly rhetorical because I know I have to say something but I guess I just dont know if I deserve her being really really mad or if I'm not crazy in thinking that kids get sick and it's just something you have to deal with and not pass blame? Support please!
5 AnswersToddler & Preschooler8 years agoDoes anyone know the song that was in the background of tonight's Grey's Anatomy episode?
It was in the background when Meredith was talking to her patient when the kids came in the first time. It sounded like the lyrics went "I was stuck in ground trying to cover my eyes, trying to move on but I.." and then another part "I spent all night trying to remember your face, trying to get blood from a stone." I cant find the song anywhere.
1 AnswerDrama8 years agoMy stomach will not stop growling, even when I eat?
Does anyone have any insight on why this may be happening.. I have not made any changes to the amount I'm eating in a day, to my knowledge anyway, but for the past week or so, my stomach will NOT stop growling as though I haven't eaten in days. It's not the noise that is bothering me, it is the feeling that I am just starving. It keeps me awake. I've tried eating different types of things to curb my hunger, things high in carbs seem to help a little but an hour later I'll be so hungry again. And then, when I make myself eat to try and make it stop, I feel sick, probably because I've had enough to eat already. I don't have an eating disorder.

I am 28 years old, unmarried, and a mother of two. I am strongly considering getting my tubes tied. For those who have had this experience, what was it like for you physically, emotionally? please share. I don't really have any adult women in my life I can ask advice on such matters.

2 AnswersOther - Health10 years agoWhat the heck did I just buy?
I bought pita bread from the store.. I picked the one that felt the softest but I didn't look very closely at it. When I got it home I noticed that it read "Flax and Wheat Bran Pitas." What is Flax? Now, I did google it and I have a basic understanding of it but is it GOOD to have flax in your bread or not? Is it healthy.. I suppose I don't care really, just curious. They tasted alright..
7 AnswersOther - Food & Drink10 years agoInflamed Gland in my underarm?
I am allergic to deodorant but I wear it anyway.. Of the three brands in existence that I'm not allergic to.. two do nothing and one is insanely expensive so I usually wear an unscented version of the regular stuff when I'm out and wash it off when I'm home. Well the issue is that if I wear it too long or to often, my armpits get very itchy and sometimes they get so inflamed that I have some sort of gland or cyst or something that becomes noticeable, but then calms back down when the itching subsides.
I didn't think it was anything to worry about but then I made the smart decision to google it and get all kinds of posts about lymphoma.. is this something I should be worried about or did I just freak myself out over nothing..?
1 AnswerSkin Conditions10 years agoHow do you know how much food is enough for your kids?
I think I have a good working knowledge of proper portion sizes but I have a 7 year old boy who is always hungry. I feed them three meals and three snacks/ day and the meals are balanced and include vegetables and grain and protein and all the healthy things they need to curb their appetite but he would seriously eat 4 helpings of dinner if I'd let him.
Now I don't feed them this way often but I'll use this example for demonstrative purposes because the portion sizes are universally understood. When he was a toddler, I would give him a happy meal and that would be enough. Now he says he is still hungry afterwards so I up it to a might kids meal (six nuggets.) I feel that this portion should be appropriate for a seven year old. But he feels he needs a cheeseburger in addition or asks for a ten piece instead.
Now the dilemma is between my instincts that tell me I know how much they should be eating and my mommy ears which hate to hear a kid say their hungry all the time. People keep telling me, "if they say they're hungry.. feed them." But he is already in the 107th percentile for weight with what I'm doing now.. I'm not fanatical about it but I'm trying to keep them healthy.
does anyone have any insight here
4 AnswersParenting10 years agoHow do you feel when someone volunteers to pray for you?
While I am not an atheist, I am not a very religious person either. I probably fall into the category of a theistic agnostic. My "prayers" are few and far between and generally pertain to serious situations. When someone decides to "pray" for me, it feels to me like they feel my life is in such disrepair that I am in the need of divine intervention. It does not come across as a compliment or a nice thing to me. Open to having my line of thinking corrected..

6 AnswersMovies10 years agoIs it wrong for me to feel this way?
I have two children with the same person who is now engaged to someone else and has a baby on the way. I'm okay with all of it up until this one worry. My son's birthday is in a couple days and she is due to have her baby any day and I don't want her to have the baby on his birthday. They already rarely see him, (as in 3 times in the past 2 years) and have to share their father with a new family and a child from a relationship in between the two.. I don't want my son to have to share his birthday with a brother who will without a doubt already be getting far more of a relationship with their father. Am I wrong for feeling this way?
