  • Taylor Series Help Please?

OK, so I can obtain the Taylor series for the function f(x) = (1-x) e^x, but I'm really bad at the next part (finding the series notation) for the series 1 - x^2/2 - x^3/3 - x^4/8 = x^5/30... i know the bottom should say something like n*(n-2)! Any help would be greatly appreciated :)

  • Wood Paint Job for a Guitar?

    Hello experienced wood painters.

I have a guitar with a solid wooden body which is painted red, and topped off with a clear coat. It's a cheap guitar so the paint/finish can't be all that great.

I want to paint it a whole new color - possibly a chrome mirror color. I don't have professional airbrush applicators, so I'd be limited to standard, hardware store spray paints. Would a mirror finish be possible with a wooden block, or how close could I get? Also, what steps would I need to take to ensure the paint sticks. Do I sand down the body until the paint comes off? Do I sand just the clear coat? Do I prime after sanding? Anything that would get me in the right direction would help me greatly. Thanks :)

Here's a link of the finish I hope to achieve, or come close to

  • Help with ideas for band name?

I'm asking for some help on band name advice again :)

We're a cover band playing songs you'd find on rock band, so a lot of styles of music, mostly rock though - no metal, or slow songs, etc.

We've thrown around a few, and we're kinda just looking for something cool sounding, or self-contradictory. We've thrown around things like Kinetic View, River of Brakelights, and stuff like that. Does anyone have any similar sounding ideas that might be cool? Thanks

  • Procedure for website design?

    Hey there.

So I'm interested in making a website for a band, that will probably have a few video files, audio files, maybe a calendar, but definitely pictures. The goal is to make it flashy to promote the band. I want to have a custom background, and customize as much as possible on the website.

I don't even know the first thing about web design. I've visited sites like GoDaddy and they talk about Domain name registration, which I managed to figure out is the website name that has to be registered basically. That comes with some service fee. Will GoDaddy give me a user-friendly interface to make my ideas come to life, and would I have to pay for that service too? What else would I have to pay for, and how frequently (yearly, monthly)? Is there anyone out there who can provide me with some information about the process, and maybe recommend some hosting sites to use? I'd appreciate it.

  • Need ideas for a band name.?

Hey everyone. So I need to come up with a band name. We're a 4 piece set with 2 guitarists, a bassist and drummer, and the bassist and I switch roles constantly. We need a good band name for the summer. Does anyone have any cool ideas? I don't know if I can pick a best answer for this one because its a highly subjective query. Thanks for your help!

  • What to wear to the MTV Video Music Awards?

I recently won tickets to see a private venue at the VMAs. The e-Tickets said to wear something hip and trendy. I might be on TV, and have no clue what 'hip and trendy' implies. Should I dress like a hipster?

  • Taser Fire on Human Bodies?

I was reading this news article about a guy who was covered in Petrol and was hit with a taser and burst into flames, and it made me think back.

Do you remember the game Syphon Filter, where you could use a taser in the game? If you used it long enough on the person, they'd burst into flames. Could this actually happen? If the taser voltage was high enough to cause that high of electrical resistance heating, wouldn't a body melt into a blob of mush well before it burst into flames? I'm not particularly adept in the field of electricity.

  • Someone with good music theory please help?

I forgot the name of any variation of a chord where the root note is not the bass note. It's bugging me that I can't remember.

For example, a D chord with an F# bass, or A bass, etc. Its something like transpose?

    Please help. Thanks!

  • How to shrink a shirt?

I have a whole bunch of shirts that are way too big. They're shirts from Threadless.com, so I don't really know much about the material of the shirts. The most I can say is that they're some sort of cotton blend by Fruit of the Loom.

Would it be possible to shrink them? Do I stick them in the dryer for a long time? Does anyone have any experience with this?

Thanks for answering everyone! I promise to give out best answer when the option arises.

  • Stocks and Volume? What is the relationship? I'm new?

I'm new to trading and stocks, etc. On Google Finance, there are always discussions about volume of stocks and how volume affects the price. How are the two related? Also, why do people hate short sellers? How do they drive down the stock price, and does this have to do with volume as well?

  • Turbo on a Nissan Maxima?

I'm wondering if it would be feasible to put a Turbocharger on a 2000 Maxima SE. I believe it is a naturally aspirated engine. Any idea on how much time and money I'd have to put into it. I realize that I'd need to completely reformat the exhaust side of the car. Any guys/gals out there with any experience in this field.

  • Smell with Air Conditioner?

So a while ago, i was polishing my car. I left the bottle of quick-polish spray underneath the car, and ran it over. It exploded when I ran it over, and I think it somehow got into my Air Conditioning System. Every time I turn on the car's air, I can smell the polish, and it's not pleasant. How can I make this go away? Is it as simple as changing the A/C air filter?

    Thanks for your responses.
