The teacher in the room next to mine at the High School I work at is a math teacher who is well-known by students as someone to avoid.

She teaches PreCalc which is a fairly important year in math for many kids before they begin taking IB, AP, and higher level math classes here. I have seen and heard her teaching and though I am not a math teacher myself and do not know very much about teaching math, I am fairly horrified by what I see. She teaches with power points she has students write at the end of each year and clearly does not proofread them before use each year. She skips slides when she doesn't like the animation a student used meaning that the students in the class miss important information.

I understand that the class is not easy for many, but when I was talking to her one morning about a mutual student she freely admitted that the class average for her Honors PreCalc is a D right now. I have friends who work int he math department who also teach this class and their student have much higher grades. I have many of the students who teach her and they are quite bright.

I want these kids to have a better opportunity to learn, and I want to say something, but I am not sure as to how to handle this situation. What do you all recommend I do?

A very artistic friend of mine made me an amazing pair of shoes by coloring some white canvas Keds with Sharpies. I tried scotch-guarding a small area, and it blurred like crazy. Even though Scotch-Guarding didn't work, I really want to protect these shoes in some way before I wear them. Does anyone have an idea of how to do this?

I am a teacher in a high school and a middle school. I teach two 6th grade History classes in the morning, and in the afternoon I teach several High School History classes. I am 28 years old, but I look about 18. This is a problem, since several of my students have asked me out, and stuff like that. Since it is almost summer, I am thinking about just not teaching High School anymore, and just teaching 6th grade History and English because of this problem. What does everyone think I should do?

I need some urban Legends for a project, and I can't find any! if you know any that are NOT GROSS and not 3 years of nightmares scary.
