  • Cat meows when I am not home - what do I do?

I have had my cat for nearly one year. I adopted him from the shelter. He is fixed and he is quite old but I was informed by my landlord today that he is quite vocal when I am not home. My cat is very timid to strangers and I have been hesitant to get him a companion in fears that he may be afraid of them too. Do you have any advice as to what I could do to keep him from meowing while I am out?

  • On Lost (the tv show) why were the Other s so mean at the beginning? Start of season 3 when they had Kate and Sawyer in the cages?

Why couldn t they just be normal and have helped them after the plan crash rather than infiltrating their camps and capturing Walt ect - was it ever explained why they acted so "hostile" towards newcomers?

  • If you have a coupon for a free coffee and you get another free coffee every 7 coffees, how many coffees can you get without ever paying?

My friend has collected McDonald's free coffee stickers (the ones that come on the cup) and has close to 400 filled cards that can be redeemed for free coffee. If she redeemed one everyday for a year (and gained another sticker every free coffee she redeemed) how long can she go without ever paying for a coffee again?

    So,

    365 free coffees

Get another free coffee every 7 coffees that you redeem

Hope this is clear - thanks for you help.

  • Booking a hotel - what is the best type of room?

I am trying to plan a romantic vacation for my partner and I and I am having trouble deciding which type of room to book. The hotel I am looking at offers

    1. A studio room with king bed and full kitchen

    2. One bedroom with king bed and full kitchen plus heavenly shower and spa

    3. One bedroom with king bed and full kitchen plus balcony.

I have been leaning towards option 1 just because it is significantly cheaper and I thought being in one room rather than an apartment type apartment will keep us even closer - however, the idea of a balcony or heavenly washroom, seems to be a nice bonus plus all the extra space. But when I think about it, I could be saving 300-500 dollars by choosing option 1 which i could spend to do more fun things on our trip.

What do you recommend? Have you stayed at a hotel with a bedroom separate from the living room before?

    Thank you

  • Temptation's Cat Treats - Allergy; could red eye be an allergy or is it an injury?

I adopted my cat almost 6 weeks ago. About 3 weeks ago I started feeding him temptation treats. And about 2 weeks ago one of his eyes seemed to be off. Some times it looked puffy and then back to normal, then it was watery sometimes and back to normal. Then yesterday it seemed a little red and today it is very red all around the outside of his eye; I am wondering if it is itchy and he his hurting himself trying to scratch it; it looks like a person who would use their fist to rub their eyes.

Is red around the eye an allergy symptom or do you think it's infected?

    Thank you

  • Sex Question: Why does my boyfriend likes finger in bottom but not anal plug?

I got him a very small one as a 'gift' because he likes my finger there but when I showed him he didn't really even care and when I put it in he said it didn't do anything for him.

Why is there such a difference? Because I know with my finger it doesn't go very far and I'm very careful and don't move much and also make sure my nails are cut.

He wasn't afraid of the plug or angry - he's not like that. Should I try to bring up using it again? He was very tired that day so maybe he wasn't into it

    Thanks for you advice

  • How to ask to attend a conference? I will pay for my own expenses.?

They selected a few of us to go to a "conference" (the workshops are great but it s also a really nice vacation). I didn t get selected this year, I went last year though and I want to go again so I must ask to go so I can have the time off work.

How is the best way to ask my boss to attend? I m thinking something about what a great learning opportunity it will be and something about how it will benefit them because I will be better trained.

    Any advice is appreciated. Thanks

  • How do I ask a guy I like to go on vacation?

I want to go away with him but we haven't been seeing each other that long and he works most weekends. I am just feeling low and want to be spontaneous and go away next weekend but I don't know if his life allows for that kind of spontaneity - how can I ask him without him thinking I'm crazy.

  • How do I arrange to bring a celebrity comedian to my city for a show?

I have their agents contact information but I am not sure how the process goes. Do I need to contact a venue first and try to get people interested in the event and then contact them? Thank you

  • Initiating sex in a car - do you think he would like this?

My boyfriend is picking me up at the train station tomorrow and I want to try and be spontaneous. I am thinking if when he opens that back seat door to put my bag in the back I could tell him to 'get in' and then just mess around a little bit. Would you like if your significant other tried to do this for you? I don't want to be rejected.

  • Is it weird to get an almost full body wax at one spa?

I usually just get my bikini and my eyebrows done at one spa by the same worker but for my appointment next week I am getting my legs done. But I also want to get my stomach, arms, and back waxed this time and thinking about a manicure and pedicure but I feel weird to book so many services with one person - will the worker care? Or are they happy to have the work?

  • How to quit my job after almost 5 years - I'm the manager now?

It is fast food but it is still my job and I am proud of it. I've only been the manager for about 6 months and it has becoming increasingly stressful because while I know things that need to be 'fixed' or changed, the headquarters does not allow me to do anything about them and I must submit changes to be approved for instance, adding an extra daily staff member.

I want to quit on good terms - I know people will be angry at me but I have to just make my peace with that. I am returning to school in the fall and I just want to take the summer 'off' (trying to find a part time job). What is the best way to approach telling them I'm done. I was thinking of just waiting until (hopefully) I get a new job and then tell them but at the same time I would like to give them lots of notice - I know everyone very well at this job so I am not afraid of them taking me off the schedule early or cutting my hours. I would be happy to help train my replacement - so if I wanted to quit for July I would like to tell them now or early June so they do not feel like I'm "leaving them hanging" - and my dates are pretty flexible since I just don't want to work anymore.

Is this a good idea or should I just do the two weeks notice and then be gone?

  • Nearly fainted while getting my hair bleached?

First time getting my hair done and after about an hour I got really light headed and sweaty and nauseous and nearly passed out - I got up and got some air and it was ok but then I sat back down and not long after it all started again - I don't think it was the fumes because there wasn't "that much" on me. As well, there were other people in the room who were not affected. I think it might have had something to do with not moving my head or neck/back for a long period of time. Have you ever heard or experienced this? Thanks
