  • Do atheists act on faith?

I would expect a devoutly religious person to ask a question and select as the best answer the one that most closely matches his/her pre-existing view, because faith usually trumps evidence for this type of person, but I have increasingly seen atheists do the same.

If an atheist ignores the evidence, logical arguments and facts presented by answerers and selects as best answer the one that simply says "yeah, you're right", isn't the atheist doing the same as the religious folk and acting on faith?

Surely if you decide atheism is correct and stop looking at further evidence, you are simply making atheism your religion, are you not?

I would hope atheists speak out against other atheists if they see them turning atheism into a religion, but I'd be interested in the views of others.

  • What is a stupid question?

I was always told that there is no such thing as a stupid question, yet many I see on Yahoo Answers are seriously challenging this! What, in your opinion, makes a question "stupid"? and have I crossed that line with this one? :-)
