Ear bleeding?
Hi guys,
Sometimes I have eczema issues in my ear, and when it flares up I use hydrogen peroxide. This time, my right ear healed okay but my left ear got worse. After using the hydrogen peroxide, my ear felt blocked up, very painful (couldn't move my jaw a lot or talk too much, constant 7/10 pain), and I couldn't hear as well. It felt almost as if the peroxide and maybe some wax or dry skin or something caught stuck deep in my ear. My ear became very tender and inflamed for about two days. I used some ear drops for swimmer's ear to aid the pain and possibly if there was an infection to fix that. Two days after using the ear medication, my ear feels mostly better. If anything my jaw is still a little sore but that's it. My hearing isn't all the way back but I can hear fine. The most worrisome part is last night I felt something dripping out of my ear and it was blood. I cleaned it up and the blood is coming from deep in my ear. I haven't poked around inside my ear with anything so I don't know why it would start bleeding? This morning there is still wet blood.
And PLEASE don't tell me to go see a doctor. I don't have a GP so can't find a specialist. Even if I had that money... well, I'm homeless and the only money I have saved right now is for me to move into a place... so I'd hate to blow it all on my ear and remain homeless... ya know? Unless anyone has recommendations for free clinics in Phoenix. Unfortunately my Obamacare was cut this year so I've got no insurance 👎🏼
1 AnswerFirst Aid4 years agoToshiba stuck on start up screen?
Toshiba laptop. Less than a year old. Satellite S55-C5248. No prior problems until now. Gave me an error the other day and said it had to restart. Shut off and turned back on to the startup screen and has been stuck there. Drained the battery, didn t work. Pressed F8, didn t work. Pressed 0, after a minute it brought up the "hard drive recovery" option. Chose "yes". Went back to start up screen. Then prompted a few options, chose to go to the main screen. Computer then shut off and I am back to square one with it being stuck on the start up screen. It also doesn t hold a charge well. I can hear the hard drive boot properly and the fan kicks on but that s all.
2 AnswersLaptops & Notebooks4 years agoComputer won't turn on?
Toshiba Satellite P775-S7215
Bought a cheap charger online that drained by battery life. Bought a new battery but it wouldn't charge (not sure if defective product or the computer, so switched back to the old one). After a couple days, the computer would have trouble turning on. Sometimes it would have to be plugged in for an hour or two before the charger light turned on. Now, I can press the power button and it will light up, but no fans boot up and I can't hear anything internally. The power button will stay lit for 5 or so seconds before turning off. For a while I was able to live with this and it would turn on after an hour of trying. Yesterday, I left the charger (which is a new one purchased from Staples) plugged in all day and the computer still wouldn't boot up by the end of the day.
I've tried the whole "unplug your laptop and take on the battery and press the power for 'x-amount' of seconds" and that doesn't work.
Laptops & Notebooks5 years agoComputer not turning on?
Have had some power issues with my laptop in the past (I believe due to the cheap charger I purchased off the web), but never this. When I press the power button, it lights up for about five seconds before turning off again. Doesn't sound like anything else in the computer is booting up. If I take the battery out and try to power it with only the charger plugged in, nothing happens at all. Should I buy a new battery or charger? My computer had full charge when I last left it, and it had just finished with system updates before powering off (could this be a culprit?). Hoping for a quicker fix since I have a lot of work to get done.
1 AnswerLaptops & Notebooks5 years agoCan my motherboard just "give up" from not being charged enough?
I have a Toshiba Satellite from about 2011, I think. It's been working great up until today. I've been using a cheap AC adapter from the Internet for the last year or two. A couple months ago, the battery stopped accepting a charge. I went into the device manager, uninstalled that battery compliance thing, and the problem was fixed. Then it gave me the same warning "plugged in, not charging," again a week or two ago. I just plugged in my charger and used my laptop, then when I was done, unplugged it and let it die instantly instead uninstalling the battery thing all over again. A couple days ago, my computer wouldn't turn on (not even a light to show it was plugged in) for about ten minutes. Today, I had it plugged in for 30 minutes and it wouldn't turn on, the charger wasn't even warm. I tried another charger that for sure works on another laptop, and nothing. So, I took the computer to a shop looking for answers. The guy there said "the motherboard might just have dried up."
-I'm looking for other answers. What do you think it could be? Should I consider a new battery, a new "official" charger that is sold for Toshiba's, leave it plugged in for a longer amount of time, or somethings else?
1 AnswerLaptops & Notebooks6 years agoIs there any bargaining when it comes to your insurance company deciding to repair or total your car?
I crashed my 2008 Volkswagen Jetta in California, which according to Kelly Blue Book is only worth about $5,000.
California determines if a car is a total loss by the total loss formula (if the cost of repairs + salvage value of the vehicle > actual cash value of vehicle then it will be totaled).
I have Progressive and they are still deciding if it's repairable, which is driving me crazy because it's been two days since the accident. I still owe $8,000 on the vehicle, but if the value of the vehicle is $5,000, then I believe that's all they will give me. I can't afford for them to pay me $5,000 and just take my car. Is there any way of bargaining? Say, they pay enough for the car to be drive-able again and leave out the cost of cosmetic repairs? Any way around their final decision? Thoughts? Suggestions? I'm going crazy over here....
4 AnswersInsurance & Registration6 years agoIs this the correct use of the word synecdoche?
I'm not quite sure I understand the use or the meaning of the word. Can it be used like it is in the following sentence?
Beer, brats, and cheese are pretty much synecdoche of the entire state of Wisconsin.
1 AnswerWords & Wordplay6 years agoHow far can I drive on a spare tire?
Got a flat the other day, and they put on my spare tire. It's not a donut, it's a full on spare. My tire pressure light still hasn't gone off though, so I'm worried that I can't make it all the way back home. I'm about 400 miles away, and don't want to buy tires until I get back home. My tire pressure is at 32 on all tires, and I have a 2008 Volkswagen Jetta if that means anything.
8 AnswersMaintenance & Repairs6 years agoBleeding after abortion?
I didn't come here to be ridiculed by pro-lifers, I came here for medical advice. Thanks for taking this into consideration.
I had a medical abortion 5 weeks into pregnancy, and that was on April 25th. I waited until my bleeding seemed like it was completely done with (I understand it's possible to bleed for a couple weeks, but I seemed to stop bleeding about a week and a half after). I had sex on May 6th, eleven days after ther abortion, which I figured would be okay since I figured I had stopped bleeding. I was told to wait one to two weeks, so a week and a half seemed okay to me.
Today I am bleeding abnormally. It is not any sort of blood I've ever experienced during my menstrual cycles. This kind of bleeding is almost like when you get a cut, much more runny than what's in the lining of a uterus to my knowledge. I haven't been soaking through pads, but this type of bleeding is concerning me as Ive never experienced it and feel it could be a direct result from having intercourse.
My follow-up appointment is in a couple days, I thought I might ask here first to see if it's normal or if I should be worried.
Thanks in advance.
2 AnswersWomen's Health6 years agoHow to make an alert box pop up only once?
This is the code I'm currently using:
<script type="text/javascript" >
window.alert("Could you please check out my donation information?");
alert("Could you please check out my donation information?");
</script>
But I only want it to pop up once, and after the user clicks "okay" I don't want it to continue to pop up.
1 AnswerProgramming & Design7 years agoLegal situation involving almost legal seventeen year old?
I graduated early, and I am taking a gap year before college. For this gap year, I have decided to be an au pair. I have offers from all over the world, and I am very excited. I have childcare experience, and I know the languages of the countries to which I am travelling. I live with my single mother who has sole custody of me, I haven't seen my dad in five years, but his parents and siblings (so my grandparents and aunts) have remained in my life, offering financial help and to pay for my college. My mother does not want me to leave until June (when I'm 18) because she's afraid my dad's side of the family will contact the government and claim that she's an unfit parent for allowing me to leave when I am still a minor, since they have done things like that in past. Can I get advice or any help at all?
1 AnswerLaw & Legal7 years agoWhat are some good sides for romantic drama?
I wrote a screenplay, and I'm holding auditions for it this Saturday. I was going to use excerpts of the movie for sides, but I'd rather choose something not from my writing. My friend compared the movie to People Like Us, which I haven't seen, but I guess that gives you kind of an idea. A breakdown of some of the characters is as follows:
Leads-
Andy Parker (23) Lives downtown Chicago and works at Second City Entertainment in a show that is constantly losing popularity. His parents don't support him in anyway, and his two siblings are both doctors. He can be arrogant at times, but in the end he just wants to do the right thing.
Alice Walker (27) The star of Broadway's regional show, Guys and Dolls, which is playing in Chicago for six months. She dresses like Elle Wood and acts like Regina George. Completely stuck up, she likes to control people and always has to have her way. As the story progresses and she faces her mother's death, her spirit breaks and a new Alice surfaces, someone who just wants to be accepted and liked.
Supporting Roles-
Stacey (20's) She's a coworker to Andy, and they have a unique love-hate relationship. They're always on and off. Karen doesn't really see anyone but herself, she only does what benefits her.
Karen (20's) A double to Alice, she's a complete pushover with no backbone. In the end, she's just glad to have someone to be with, even if it's a character as egotistical as Alice.
Rose (30-50) She's the director of sales at Second City and acts as the glue to everyone there. She's there for business, and doesn't socialize much.
Jim (30-50) He's Alice's personal assistant, and he let's her push him around. There's not much to him, other than the fact that he's Alice's *****.
There are other minor characters, too, but I figure this is enough.
But yeah, basically I just need sides for people to read at auditions.
1 AnswerDrama7 years agoDoes anyone know what comedian this is?
I know this isn't helpful, but I don't remember anything about him at all. I just saw his show on Comedy Central a few months ago, it played after Tosh.0. He was white and had short dark hair. There were some guests on his show, too, so I don't know if it was considered stand-up. I think there were like children in the show, too? Maybe? Like they were guests...or maybe he made a joke about the children. I can't remember much, but I know he always took the jokes too far.

4 AnswersMovies7 years agoVideo camera for beginners?
Okay, okay. So, I was interested in a dSLR camera (I asked a different question here: http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=201311... because I plan on doing photography on the side, but I have a Canon PowerShot Pro1 point-and-shoot camera, so that could get me started. So if I'm looking into video cameras now, does anyone know about the jvc everio gz hd6? Because that's the only one that I've looked at so far, and it seems good. But I wrote a movie where the first ten minutes are outside at night. I like it that way and I don't want to change it, so would this model be good to capture video in low light? Are there other suggestions? I won't be able to use artificial lighting for those scenes, so that's my main concern.
2 AnswersCamcorders7 years agoWhich canon model should I get?
I'm looking into purchasing a camera mostly for videos because I want to start making indie films. I looked at camcorders, but have decided to go with one of the Canon EOS rebel models. To be honest, I don't know much about cameras, but I've looked at the t3i, t4i, and t5i and they all seem extremely efficient for the quality I'm looking for at a reasonable price. Now, I know the t4i was discontinued, and I'm not looking into buying anything refurbished, so I guess that one is out. So my main question here is what's the difference between the t3i and the t5i? I understand that the t5i has some new technology in video, but is it really that much of a change? I was looking to spend about $600, but I still need to purchase a tripod and an external mic, so can someone help me out with what would be best for me here?
7 AnswersCameras7 years agoMemory Loss and Bipolar Disorder?
Hi, I'm asking here because I don't want my parents to know I'm getting worse, plus they don't believe me anyway. I just need some answers before I go any further.
Last spring I was diagnosed with bipolar disorder, and I had noticed some memory problems then, but I thought it was just a side effect of my medication (Lamitcal). Well I've been off the medication for months, and I feel as if my memory is rapidly declining. Today I looked at the clock and it was twelve, and I looked again and it was two. Now I know this happens to everyone, but I couldn't remember what I had spent the last two hours doing. Other examples of this, and these are all short-term, are things like me eating a sandwich, and then I set the sandwich down to go do something, and a few hours later I find the sandwich and I'm like, "Oh, I was eating a sandwich before I started cleaning, totally forgot." In the past at school when I forgot my lunch in my car, I would actually forget to eat despite the fact that there's a whole period designated to lunch. I sit by my locker and don't even realize that I'm missing a meal, and then by the end of the day I think, "Why am I so hungry? What did I eat for lunch?" And then it dawns on me that I didn't eat at all for the day. This sort of stuff happens constantly. I am always in this state of, "What did I just do?" "Did someone just say something to me?" "Why did I come over here?" It's as if my brain can only cognitively function in the present.
And I have few problems with long term as well, though I believe that's a result of my brain repressing my childhood as it wasn't exactly picture perfect. It's basically impossible for me to recall events past more than a year ago unless someone else were to remind me of it.
3 AnswersMental Health8 years agoWhat type of UK visa should I apply for?
I looked and looked and cannot figure it out. It seems like tier five, youth mobility program would be perfect, but its not offered for my country (USA). Basically, I want to stay there for minimum of six months to see if I would consider living there full time. Thing is, I also need to work during that time so I don't run out of money. So if I want to apply to say, like Coffee#1 or Subway or basic labor like that, which visa should I apply for? And if I want to apply to these businesses before I leave to live in the UK, what do I say when they ask if I can legally work in the UK? Because visas aren't active until you step foot in the country, so... I don't know
2 AnswersImmigration8 years agoHow can I find possible flatmates in Bristol, UK? And a job?
I'm looking into moving to Bristol next summer, but I can't pay rent all on my own, so I'd like to find some housemates. As for now I don't specifically know where I want to be located, but definitely North Bristol like Montpelier or Fishponds. Is there a website for that or anything? Anyone know anything about that? Also, I've been doing job searching with no luck, where would you suggest applying?
2 AnswersBristol8 years agomy laptop will only connect to the internet with hotspot?
I've taken it into Geek Squad twice (the only thing we can afford so dont offer anything else). The second time they said it was because I had updated to version ten (which my computer automatically did) so when I brought it home, I opened chrome, and it said that explorer was my default browser. It then wouldn't load any pages on wifi (I've tried three separate connections), but everything worked fine on my phones hotspot. What's going on? How can I fix this?
I have a Toshiba Satellite and it's running on Windows 7
