I want to build an outdoor pen for my tortoises that is about 1 foot high, 6 feet X 6 feet in area, and with a top to keep out any predators. any ideas or plans for my project?

I currently have one male tortoise in a 25' X 12' outdoor enclosure. He has two artificial burrows, one i made by digging a 1 1/2' deep 2' X 2' hole in the ground, lining it with dirt-filled cinder blocks, covering it with two layers of plywood, and then mounding a large hill of dirt on top. That is the night time sleeping burrow, the other i made out of a bucket which i cut in half, dug it into the ground, and covered it with dirt. That's his daytime cool down burrow. The area is planted with various weeds and grasses, and gets full sun all day long, as well as good shaded areas to beat the heat. My little guy is living the good life, but he's lonely. =(... I feel that i can handle the responsibilities of another, if not a few more russian tortoises. Id love to breed. where can i find a female for my male?

I am no stranger to acne. I had really bad acne, but it was miraculously cured by accutane(isotretinoin). I had been pimple-free since last august, but im guessing because of the heat my acne is returning...

i have three large cases of what i assume to be nodular acne under my skin. Ive dealt with this type of acne before, but this time it is different. this time it itches, ALOT!

i know i shouldnt scratch or touch it to prevent it from spreading.

is this normal? is this even acne?

it's definitely not a mosquito bite. there is no dot in the middle, and they are oddly shaped lumps instead of the uniformly raised typical mosquito bite.

also, i had had a very high fever right before i got these. could that be a cause?

im thinking about buying a ukulele on ebay, but the description says that its one and only flaw, probably the reason it's such a great deal, is that it has sharp fret edges that cause the strings to be a bit buzzy...

part of the actual description:

"in new and unused condition, full size, sharp fret edge are the only flaw - buzzy strings!"

is the good deal worth the trouble? would i be able to file down the fret edges myself so that it would be more comfortable to play and sound smoother?

For example, if i were to send an essay explaining my financial situation to the Pepsi headquarters, do you think they would give me some pity money, and throw me a bone to write off taxes?

I have a 6-7 inch albino tiger oscar with a 8 inch high sail fin pleco in a 60 gallon tank. I attached a few pieces of 4 inch diameter pvc pipe as a hide for the pleco, but he rarely ever goes inside and my oscar usually swims through it and pushes it around the tank

my problem is late at night, usually about 20 minutes after i turn off all the lights in my room and i am beginning to fall asleep i hear thuds and splashes from the tank. when i turn on the light the two fish are usually buth nipping eachother at the top of the tank and then the pleco swims down to the bottom.

I know the pleco doesn't have any teeth, but it has a very powerful tail, and my oscar could easily injure it as well if the fight got serious

is there anything i could do that would stop them from fighting?

maybe a new hide?also is it possible for an oscar fish to play dead?

sometimes she'll swim sideways until I open the tank and then she jumps at me. she's a very smart fish, she rings a bell for food.(no joke)
