  • Some Yahoo email accounts not working? Others are???

My Yahoo email is working just fine, but my husband's is not. He can sign into Yahoo, but it will not take him to his email account. VERY frustrating to say the least, especially since he is currently job hunting and his Yahoo email is the one that he has been using on all of the resumes he has sent out. Seeing that he is currently unemployed and we NEED him to find a job VERY soon...is there a phone number (the customer service #s were NOT helpful at all...nor are the CS email contacts...just sending back generic emails on all I've sent to them) for Yahoo Email Tech Support?

WE NEED HIS EMAIL for his job hunting since he lost his job 2 weeks ago...and the bank account is getting low, and we need him to be able to send resumes and access any responses from ones he has already sent out. It's not like we're waiting to send pictures to grandma of the kids...this is our livelihood here.

  • ENT consult evaluation testing?

My youngest has an ENT consult tomorrow for lymph nodes that are still present despite 3 different antibiotics in the past 5 months.

What type of evaluation can I expect besides a physical exam? Neither she nor I have ever been evaluated by an ENT specialist, and for swollen lymph nodes in the neck at the jaw line...I have no clue as to what the evaluating tests would be.

Any information to help prep me as to what I might expect would be wonderful. I'm NOT looking for diagnosis or cause...just the testing that helps to rule in or rule out conditions. Thanks!

  • Parents need to lose weight...kid needs to gain weight...diet ideas for both?

My husband and I aren't really overweight...just have those pesky 10-15 vanity pounds to drop. My oldest son has a hard time gaining weight and per his pediatrician needs high calorie intake. My other two children are right where they need to be.

Dilemma...I'm running out of ideas for meals! I hate cooking three different meals every night (yup...I've been doing this) and need some ideas that will help me maintain or lose a little, my oldest gain, my husband lose a little, and my younger two kids maintain where they are.

It's just our main sit-down dinner in the late afternoon that I have so much problem with...cause we're all together.

Ideas? Recipies?? Tired of the same ole same ole thing week after week of spaghetti, hamburger hot dish, tacos...yada yada yada. Lower fat, higher calorie would be great!! (I have a real hard time gettin the kids to eat cooked veggies...they pick them out of everything...carrot sticks is about it).

  • Nodule under a 'bruise'...no injury??

Yesterday I noticed a bruise on one of my breasts...didn't hurt, but found something that didn't feel like it belongs there. It is about 3/4" long and maybe 1/4" wide...It too doesn't hurt.

I do not know my family history at all, as I was adopted. I'll be 36 in a couple of weeks and know that first mammograms aren't recommended unless you know your family history and there's breast cancer, or you have a personal history.

I've had totally normal annual breast exams...and where I fail to do my monthly self exam, when I noticed this, I KNOW there wasn't a nodule or abnormality. (last exam was about 6 months ago).

I'm not surfing the net so I do not scare myself to death, but should I be concerned? I take my children to our family doctor later this week for physicals, should I ask about it (they're both boys, so do not want to have the exam in their presence) or is this something that could wait a couple of weeks when I go in for my tetanus vaccination?

  • Education question for the optometrists and ophthalmologists?

I've been working with my ophthalmologists for several years now...LOVE my job...but it's not hands on with the patients....I'm in the background and starting to toy with the idea of becoming an optometrist or ophthalmologist.

To become an optometrist, what major helps to prepare you for postgraduate studies, what colleges in the midwest/upper southeast have top notch optometry programs?

Ophthalmology schools...what best prepares you for medical school and further focus in either retina or neuro-ophthalmology (my personal favorites)?

Just starting to toy with the idea to better my knowledge and educational base. Any direction is greatly appreciated.

  • Furball control?

We have four cats, three domestic shorthairs and one medium to long hair. We've been feeding them hairball control cat food, but our longhair is still having a furball problem.

I am wondering which of the furball treatments, if any, really work in reducing/eliminating furballs and where they are available at a reasonable cost.

    Thanks in advance!

  • Which gaming system is better for children under 10?

I have three children under age 7. We're starting to think about getting them a video game system for Christmas.

The only two options are the Xbox and PS 2/3. NO WII.

We have game trade in stores nearby for used "little kid games".

Which is easier for young children to learn to play on? Which has more 'educational', non war, non violent games? Which one is more "sturdy" for young children just learning to play video games?

For any parents answering, which system has grown with your child more? We have V-smile right now, and my oldest is growing out of it.

    All assistance is greatly appreciated.

  • Eye care professionals only -ocular allergy treatments after PRK?

Here in the last couple of days, I'm having some increased burning sensation in my eyes. I'm done with the medicated drops, and am using my artificial tears every 3-4 hours. The tears didn't burn when I put them in before the past couple of days. I'm using Refresh Plus single use vials. I stopped taking my Claritin thinking that perhaps it was the antihistamine drying my eyes out. I am having allergies, but at 4 weeks postop, I'm not sure if I can put anything else in my eyes that a doctor would prescribe for ocular allergies. I'm sure this is a result of my allergies, as when I have nasal symptoms, my eyes are involved also.

Any suggestions? Eye care professionals, optometrists, ophthalmologists, opticians only please.

  • Personal healing experiences from PRK?

I am having PRK refractive surgery later this week and have researched all aspects, studies, docs, the procedure itself.

What I am interested in is people's personal experiences with the healing time. How long was it before the discomfort subsided? How long before your vision began to get back to normal? I know the answers will vary per individual, but would certainly help me know what to expect from the "real world" healing experiences versus published studies and articles by physicians.
