  • Vertical vs. Horizontal ID's acceptable in VEGAS?

My husband and I are going to Las Vegas on vacation on May 23rd. I am already 21 and have my vertical liscense. He turns 21 the day after we get to Vegas, and for some reason (I honestly have NO idea why he is worrying), he things the bars and clubs in Vegas will only accept his liscense if it's vertical, regardless of whether or not it states he is 21! He somewhere along the line heard a rumor that some places will not accept it unless it is vertical, tho I asked the DMV and they said technically they are not allowed to do that since u clearly states he is 21+. Has anyone heard of this before? Or even run into this situation while in vegas? Thank you in advance!!

  • Best brand of laptop for a college student?

I take online college courses (University of Phoenix), but beside that I do a lot of photo editing, and more recently video editing. I would prefer something with a good amount of memory for all my pictures and videos and such. I don't do gaming so graphics arent a huge issue. I always want it to have CD/DVD drive and burning capabilities. Which would fit me best? I'd like an exact brand and model name and all that. Also, I have a price limit of no more than $600 (before tax of course) so no Macs (though I'd love one!) Thanks!

  • Nail glue without acrylic?

So I can't wear acrylic nails, gel nails (because they still have acrylic), or just plain fake nails you apply yourself with nail glue. As you can see, the common denominator is all these is the acrylic itself. I wore nails for about a year straight and grew a sensitivity to the acrylic, so when I wear any of these it starts seperating my nails from my skin (ouch!). I was wondering if anyone out there knows of some kind of nail glue or super glue that doesn't contain acrylic? This would be soooo helpful, thanks =]

  • Problems with the hardness of my water.?

I've never had these problems before, but recently I lost all 10 of my fish. I took a sample of my water to PetSmart as I didn't trust my test strips, and she told me the acidity of the water was high (about 8.4). So I used treatement but my fish still continued to die off. Now, looking at my own test stips they say the hardness is high. I don't know what to do. I now have a 30 gallon tank with no fish...? What do I do?

  • A bunch of questions regarding my tropical fish?

So I currently have a 10 gallon tank holding 4 mollies, 2 platies and an unknown fry. Yesterday I purchased a used 30 gallon that was in good condition. I got everything ready and started cycling it. I've heard many people say different things as far as how long you should cycle it. I was gunna cycle is for 1-2 weeks, what do you think? And whats the best way to go about cycling it? Also a couple more:

    -Can you feed them lemons?

-What is the purpose for rock salt. The tank I bought came with a pound of it.

-What does an aquarium pump do?

    Please and thank you!

  • Would this be a good mix?

I'm buying a 30 gallon tank with a stand tomorrow with EVERYTHING you will ever need (plus more) off craigslist for only $125! What a steal... Anyways, the woman also said she is trying to find a home for a couple gold fish as well. Right now I have a 10 gal with 2 platties, 4 mollies and 1 fry... After cycling the new tank I will obviously add them to the 30gal. I'm not so sure about goldfish but if I were to take them from her would they be cool with the tropical fish and the higher temperature? Are they any different from taking care of tropical fish? Thaaank you.

  • How much gravel would I need for my..?

tank if I have a 37 gallon. Also, what about for a 29 gallon. I would like to know for both, thank you.

  • Buying a used 29gal aquarium?

For only $25 on craigslist!. I asked if there has ever been any sick fish in the tank and they said no. Do you think this would be ok? Or too much of a risk for the fish I already currently have in a 10gal?

  • So my fish died and...?

I didn't discover it until this morning, but I'm pretty sure it had Ich because a couple days before she died she started getting white spots all over that looked like salt. Well when I discovered her she was already floating on the top and it looks like fuzzy stuff started growing on her, but it wasn't there before. I had a fish who died before also but didn't have ich (as far as i could see) and AFTER it died it had fuzzy stuff on it. Whats the deal?

  • Why does my platty have white spots all over?

They were never there before and I started noticing them yesterday. It's almost like lil fuzzy things. So far she seems to be fine tho?

  • What's wrong with my fish? =[?

So earier today I found out that my dalmation lyretail molly fish died... When I found him he was floating on top of a plant, he was still breathing (well his gills were still moving) but when I went to go scoop him up he wouldn't move. So the other day I bought a couple of pot belly mollies and now one of them keeps doing this thing where he starts flipping over on his side (without trying), but then he catches himself and swim upright again.. but it keeps happening over and over like he's maybe dying and starting to float to the top? I don't know... does anyone know what's going on? Is he dying? What should I do?

  • Ok, I'm new at this. Suggestions?

Yesterday I decided to purchase 3 Sunburst Wag Platies (2 female, 1 male). I also bought a 10gal tank, 10lbs of gravel, food (just flakes for now), water conditioner, and a small fake plant. When I get more money I plan on getting more plants and freeze dried food for them to vary their diet. So what I did was clean the gravel (which took forever) as well as the tank, filled it with water and placed the fish inside the tank while they were still in the bag from the pet store. About an hour later, give or take, I put them in the water and fed them. They seem to be doing just fine but after some research I found out that might not have been the best way to go about it? Are their any suggestions as to what I might need for them.. filters, heaters, etcs.. Also, I later plan on buying more fish of a different variety. What kind of fish would go well with them and how many? And how should I introduce them to the tank? Just add them in when I get them? Oh and ONE more thing haha, whats the best way to go about cleaning the tank? Man I have a lot a questions, so thanks! haha
