Well, I have had my first gerbil for about 2 years now, she is very active, healthy, and nothing has ever happened to her except for escaping the cage one time...But I have owned my 2nd gerbil for about 1 1/2 years now and she reffers to the first gerbil as her "mommy"....

How long do gerbils live?? Also, please tell me..If the "Mommy" dies first, will the 2nd gerbil be lonely and be stressed?? I need to know..

Can my gerbils have fruits?? In the mannual, it says not to give them human foods, but are little peices of grape, watermelon, and apples okay?? I was wondering these things because my cute gerbils deserve a little treat =]
