Why do some religious people thing being gay is a choice?
Do you think we like being ostracized? Do you think it feels good to be rejected by your family, your friends, your teammates, your peers? You think we like being beaten and even killed? Do you think we like being subjected to hateful words, hateful looks, being told were somehow wrong, harmful. Do you think we like being limited the places we can go in this world because we could be beaten, imprisoned, and/or even killed?
Who would make that choice? Why would anyone? How could you think being gay is a choice we make? How could you not grasp that if it were a choice, there would be a lot less gay people or people would just choose differently rather than being subjected to the hate and the hurt?
11 AnswersReligion & Spirituality7 years agoCan someone please explain to me how homosexuality affects children negatively?
I mean, i never learned to be gay. I just am. I don't know any gay man who learned it or any documentation of anyone learning homosexuality. I have never used my sexuality, at least not intentionally, to harm a child. So please explain where the danger lies in a no ignorant, non-religious fashion please.
3 AnswersParenting7 years agoChristians against gay marriage, don't you realize?
Saying gay marriage is wrong because it's against your religion is like saying eating donuts is wrong because you're on a diet. Do you no understand that the only thing that same-sex marriage will lead to is same-sex marriage? Please tell me you know that...And quit with the redefinition argument. Redefinition is a part of progression. You know the device you are using to read this...it redefined communication.
17 AnswersReligion & Spirituality7 years agoLGBT community, how do you feel about the f word?
Should it be "reclaimed" or should we fight harder to make it die out? Also how do you feel about members of the LGBT community using it. It personally bothers me but what say you?
10 AnswersLesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender7 years agoI believe in aliens because I feel the universe is too expansive for us to be the only life in it. You?
Although there not actual proof of aliens, I find it hard to believe all the life in the universe exists in less than 1% of 1% of it.
11 AnswersReligion & Spirituality7 years agoAtheists, which of these things do you believe in or believe in the possibility of?

15 AnswersReligion & Spirituality7 years agoHow does the term "gay agenda" make you feel?
Personally it makes me feel like they've projected some kind of malicious cult onto us. Like we exist to corrupt children and ruin lives. how does it make you feel? or do you brush it off as just nonsense.

4 AnswersLesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender7 years agoHave you ever heard a solid argument against gay marriage based in logic?
Something without bible verses/quotes, archaic and ignorant ideas of "traditional" marriage, unneeded defense of children, or just expressions of utter disgust by homosexuality? If I hear one good one I might right along side right wing nutjobs and religious zealots

6 AnswersLesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender7 years agoDear Christians, did you know that 75% of prisoners are Christians?
And only 0.2% of prisoners are Atheists. So I ask you, who holds more ethics and morality?
13 AnswersReligion & Spirituality7 years agoChristians, how many of you went to chickfila's appreciation day? ?
To support a bigot (or "free speech", the excuse most of you used) instead of something God might like you to do like feed the hungry or volunteer other places in your community. For those who went, I'm glad bigotry is more important to you than helping the needy. Make me really want to be a Christian. That was sarcasm if you couldn't pick up on it
11 AnswersReligion & Spirituality9 years agoIf Gay marriage isnt legal everywhere, shouldn't divorce be illegal?
Those against same sex marriage say they want to "protect the sanctity of marriage" (you know. For those oh so sacred marriages of Kim kardashian, Britney spears, and the people who get drunk and married in Vegas). We'll if you want to protect marriage, make divorce illegal. Keep it sanctified. If it's sacred, it shouldn't be disturbed, right? Two people who hate each other or don't know each other can get married but two that do can't? How is that right?
7 AnswersMarriage & Divorce9 years agoChristians against gay marriage and adoption, can you dispute this?
If it wasn't clear, this is just to the Christians against gay marriage and adoption. So point:
1. One of your main arguments is that we can't reproduce
-we can. We still have genitalia and internal reproductive organs
-surrogacy and sperm banks exist
2. Not everyone gets married to have kids, even straight people, and why do we need to?
-there are an estimated 7.03 BILLION people on earth, and it is over populated.
3. For those who do want kids, and want to adopt, why shouldn't they?
-there are anywhere between 1.43 and 2.1 million orphaned children in the world.
-the population of the US is an estimated 300 million.
Think about that and stop being blinded by ignorant, inconsistent, contradictory, and inconclusive Scripture.
13 AnswersReligion & Spirituality9 years agoHey, anti-gay Christians, arent you glad you're protecting the santity of marriage from those evil gays?
I mean there are so many risks.
1. If guys can marry guys and girls can marry girls, then of course you HAVE to marry someone of the same sex.
2. We have to protect the children from them. Why would we let them provide a loving and caring home for a child without one when we can leave them in an orphanage
3. The world will definitely explode.
4. If we can't redefine marriage. I mean if they change that, they'll change everything. That means we can't pee in our out houses, get to work in our horse drawn buggies on gravel roads, and get rid of the wood burning stoves that heat our homes.
Nothing in the course of history has ever changed ever, so neither can this. We need to protect the sanctity of marriage for Britney Spears and Kim Kardashian so they can have marriages that last less than half a year for publicity rather than two people who love each other. Don't you agree?
10 AnswersReligion & Spirituality9 years agoAre you offended when people use the term "gay lifestyle"?
I think it's kind of offensive in the sense that it makes it seem like a choice and it makes it seem like every think we do and every decision we make directly relates to our being gay. Your thoughts?
7 AnswersLesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender9 years agoFellow Gays: how do you feel about drag queens?
Is it wrong that I'm not a fan. In my opinion, it just furthers the stereotype that gay men want to be women. I'm not attacking anyone. I don't hate them for doing it or anything. Just not a fan. How do you feel?
6 AnswersLesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender9 years agoWith all those religions out there, and then the denominations of of those religious, i.e. Christianity...?
