i know that this is a hoax.. but what made me wonder is what is the pseudoscience behind it? according to the rumours, how does the allignnent of the earth, sun and dark rift cause a 3 day darkness? i mean, eventhough it is fake, there must be some sort of explanation about it, eventhough it is a fake scientific explantion..

and why are people so convinced it is true??

i have a friendly relationship with a girl that i really like.. i want to get her something for christmas that allows me to express my inner emotions towards her but also subtle enough for it to be a gift for a good friend. coz i don't know if she like likes me or not, but i do know she likes me as a friend.. so that's the way i want it to be for now.. so any ideas? :)

this happened in my android fb app..

when a friend just posted a status, it will be marked '8hours ago' instead of 'just now' or 'a few seconds ago'.. but when someone really posted a status more than 8 hours ago (for example yesterday), it's pretty accurate, telling the time it was posted also.. so the problem is only with the recent posts.. they are all marked '8 hours ago' whether it was posted three hours ago, an hour ago or a few minutes ago..

so this makes it hard for me to tell if someone is online or not when i'm on mobile.. this also happens in my twitter app. can someone tell me what's going on and how to deal with it?

i'm from Malaysia btw.. maybe there's a time zone thing going on or something?

a friend of mine has a tumour in the womb.. lately she's been nose bleeding a lot.. but she doesnt cough blood, nor does she has a cough..

but she does have low red blood count though.. what do you think is going on?

both branches of christianity are from the same root and hold almost similar doctrines. isn't the only reason why they're apart is because of the schism? if so, why aren't they reunited yet?

me and my gf are in a long distance relationship.. for reasons i can't say, i wasn't happy with the relationship, so i tried to break up with her.. but she said that she was pregnant, so i stayed with her.. i can't find out if she's lying or not because i can't see her face to face.. she never shown me any official documents except one blurry MMS of an ultrasound scan, which i doubt is hers..

after a long time, i started feeling like she was lying and figured that i can't take it anymore so i just left her.. suddenly, i got a text from her friend that she went into ICU after an attempted suicide.. so i called the hospital.. the nurse said that she wasn't in the ICU but in a psychiatry ward.. her friend also said that she was unconscious for 3 days.. but the nurse said she was discharged from the hospital after just 8 hours.

i felt lied to.. so i asked my gf.. but she said that she was really unconcsious, she did not know anything and that she gave birth to our child while unconscious.. i was confused, how could she give birth while unconscious? so i asked her to send me pictures of her caesarian stitchmarks coz i think it is probable for her give birth by surgery. but she said she didn't gave birth by surgery but the baby was pulled out while she was unconscious.. is that even possible? is that even a safe procedure that a doctor would use on an unconscious patient? i thought the vacuum thing was only for assistance of labour, not for labour itself. after i chose to believe it was a lie, suddenly, the friend said that my gf got an infection during labour.. it's weird that they keep adding new facts, but i can't help but to think that there's a small window that they might be telling the truth.

the hospital had no other records of her.. so i asked her friend to explain. but her friend said that the doctor was bribed to do the procedure in secret (since she can't further her studies if the college knew she had a child)..

important thing to note: i've never even talked to her friend. i've only texted him. something tells me that this 'friend' is actually my gf in disguise.

i have strong feelings that she's lying just so that we won't break up. but then again, the way my gf and her 'friend' talk is so real. i mean, you can feel their emotions when they speak. they explain it as if it really happened.. which made me also wonder if she was telling the truth.. i don't know how to explain it.. but let's just say that if she is telling the truth, she's one hell of a good actress.

but then again, she did went into psychiatry ward which made me think maybe she's in a 'crazy' state right now..

so to your opinion, is she telling the truth? what should i do? and if she is telling the truth, how should i deal with the child coz? both of us can't further our studies with a child. and what about the infection?

the Prophet Muhammad acknowledged Isa as Al-Masih, am i right? well it was foretold 2500 years before the Prophet that Al-Masih would be killed unjustly. how then did he claim that Isa did not die on the cross and was in perfectly good shape?

please, as one human to another, realize how important spiritual growth is to a theist. spiritual growth moulds an individual to be a better person. and this R&S section helps build their spiritual growth, regardless of their belief. messing around in their questions will only make a person't thought to conflict.

if world peace is what we aim for, religious tolerance is the first step to take.. not bashing each other.. the same goes for the theists, don't bash on other people's religion. stick with your won religion.

i know that in oxidation, there is loss of electrons. and loss of electron is also called oxidation.. but why? what does oxygen have anything to do with losing or gaining electron in oxidation and how?

first of all, i'm not a jew, i'm a christian living in malaysia (a muslim dominated country, never met a jew in my life :] )

so i know based on the old testament, God said the Sabbath is a day of rest, no work shall be done.. but i can't imagine that. if no work is to be done, does that mean we cannot walk around town, cook, do our laundry, etc?

i live in asia, so the people here are not as open minded about teenage relationships compared to westerners, especially when it involves pre-marital sex. so here's the story.

two friends of mine (17 years old) happened to be a couple. they're so clingy that it annoys everyone else. i mean really, they can't go anywhere without each other. to the assembly, to the toilet, to recess, etc. they even somehow shared answers during exams. they skipped class together just to have some more alone time. they even stayed in class after school everyday, all alone, God knows what they were doing. this is indecent. and it bothers me and my friends that whenever we want to hang out with the guy, he will always bring her, doesn't he know that once in a while, we need 'bro-time'? the guy even rebels against his parents just for the girl and vice versa. there are many other things that bother us but are hard and too long for me to explain.

how should i advise them?

i'm confused. there are two girls in my mind right now. Girl A is the girl of my dreams. she has everything i have ever wanted in a girl. she's not so beautiful, but she has the characteristics i'm looking for. unfortunately, from her body language, I think (just think, not sure) that she's not interested in me. we talk with each other a lot, but i can tell that she's just uninterested. whereas Girl B is a very very beautiful girl. she's very nice and a good friend of mine. and she's giving me hints that she likes me. and she even texts me at midnight just for a conversation. but still, she doesn't have the characteristics Girl A has.

Girl A acts like she doesn't want me. it wouldn't hurt for me to be with Girl B, in fact, i like her company. it's just that what if suddenly Girl A changes her mind when i'm already with Girl B? is that even possible or is it just wishful thinking?

so my question is, if you are me, would you keep waiting for Girl A, or just move on and just be with Girl B?

this girl already has a boyfriend. but she actually doesn't like him.. she's just being with him because of pity, they never even talk with each other! their relationship remains just a status, nothing more..

so we've been texting quite actively and friendly. she told me what kind of guy she was looking for, and it definitely sounded like me. i told her what i was looking for in a girl, and i think she knows i was talking about her.

so one day, i took her out to lunch (this was the first time we went out together), and she was really talkative. i read her body language, but it seems neutral. but after that, we texted till the end of the day as usual and still in a friendly manner. so i had high hopes.

but recently, i feel like she's avoiding me. she also doesn't reply my texts anymore. but when i do talk to her, she's still talkative as always. so i decided to just leave it be, to be just friends. but earlier today, during lunch hour, she leaves her usual place to hangout with her friends and had lunch at the same place as i was. my friend saw her taking glimpses of me. but we didn't talked, we just greet each other. it was awkward!

it's ok if i connect it with cabel, but the wifi has a problem.. i called the operator but she said everything is alright.. so i changed the modem, but it still won't work.. so i hired a technician to handle the settings.. it went well at first, but the problem came back.. even my technician is confused.. even the troubleshooter won't work.. what's going on? are there external wave frequencies disturbing my wifi?

i mean, humans developed intelligence because intelligence is needed to use tools, a giraffe developed a long neck so it could reach tall branches for food, etc.. but what is the reason of the parrot's mimicking talent? did it bear any significance in the adaptation process? if there are none, how did this skill develop in a parrot anyway?
