Does anyone know where I can download good quality episodes of Robin Hood no Daiboken (Robin Hood's Great Adventures/Robin Hood's Big Adentures), English SUBBED? It was 52 episodes, vintage 1990-92. No STREAMING or TORRENTS please! It's a really old series so I don't think anyone has even heard of it, but what the heck!

Also, there's a very cool almost-metal song they included around the same time (around ep200), and it can be heard especially during major fight scene (like with Kanpachi at one point). Anyone know the title of that one?

Does anyone remember a realy old anime show set in Finland? It's about a little girl who lives with her grandparents on their farm and she takes the cows out every morning to the pasture. She then has to leave home and work on a bigger ranch as a cow herder. She gets into all kinds of trouble and makes friends...bla bla bla. Then she is hired by a rich women to take care of her son, and they all eventually move to Helsinki where she is allowed to attend school and become educated... Throughout the whole thing, she is waiting for her mother, who had to leave home to make money, to come back and find her so they can restore their family...

Ring any bells? Any at all? I'd love to find it again, it was an old favorite of mine, but I have no idea what it's called in English, or in the original Japanese.

I need help finding The One Ring?

Does anyone know where I can get a decent replica of the One Ring for under $30? And by decent, I mean one that looks like the real thing and that won't come apart when I put it on.

My first thought was ebay; there are some pretty good deals on there, but I'd like to know what people think of ebay, reliabilty-wise and service-wise.

If you know any other reliable websites that I could count on for quick delivery, and most importantly, honesty, I'd be much obliged.

How can you create your own font for PCs? Do you need some special kind of program?

I've been very much in the Tolkien zone of late, reading a lot and translating runes and whatnot! I'd like some fellow fans' opinion on a couple of questions that have been bothering me.

First, can anyone explain to me how it is that Gandalf had the third Elven Ring of Power? Was he an elf? Were they somehow his kin or something?

Second, to anyone that has read the Hobbit, can you, without revealing too much of the plot, if there be anything to reveal, as I am only halfway through it, answer the following question? I was translating the runes on Thror's Map earlier today, and I noticed that the note about the "Three-foot door" is signed with two identical initials, which in runes have the value of "Th". I assume the first "Th" stands for Thror, but what about the second?

And this last one is for those who have the Harper Collins edition of the Simlarillion. I was translating the "en relief" Dwarvish runes on the top and bottom of the front and back covers and noticed something strange. The Runes read "Quenta Silmarillion the History of the Silmarils" but the rune that should have the values of "th" in "the" is actually the one that has the value of "dh", as idicated in the Appendix of The Return of the King of the same edition. Any thoughts?

I have not seen many discussions about the movie...maybe I haven't been spending enough time on here, but what did everyone think of the movie?

What was good about it? What did you like?

As for me, I thought the direction was surprisingly good. David Yates really shocked me. I hated what he did on OotP. But this one was very good. The effects were amazing. I thought it was well filmed, and the acting has improved on the part of the trio and the younger actors. I was pleasantly surprised at times... Definitely better than the last one.

HOWEVER, the script could have been, and should have been a lot better.

First of all, the scenes they deleted were such a waste: no Dursleys, no funeral, no battle at Hogwarts, no Gaunts... Hagrid only appears a couple of times and they managed to blend Madame Pomfrey completely into the background!

Second, they added many unnecessary scenes instead of keeping the important ones! For instance, when does the Burrow get burned down? Why would the Death Eaters come in, lure Harry into the bushes and then do nothing? Isn't their top priority to kill him?!? Then there's the first scene. What the hell does that stupid girl have to do with anything? Instead of the funny scene at the Dursleys, we see hormonal Harry at the platform, not to mention he's not even supposed to leave Privet Drive. Another thing that bothered me is how most of the time we have the trio talking about their love problems. I know they are important, but they come in at the worst time! Like at the end when the trio were at the top of the tower talking about Dumbledore, who had just died, the conversation just turns to Ginny and all that crap. So badly done!

Did anyone notice how some things just didn't make sense... Like why did Dumbledore take Harry to the Weasleys unannounced and just leave him? What's the point of that. In the book, they were supposed to know he was coming and it was supposed to be for his own protection. Then there's Fenrir. If you haven't read the book, you wouldn't understand anything about who he really is!

No Fleur and Bill, no Scrimgeour! Instead all that bullshit about Lavender. She was in it too much! And the only action scene was the burning of the Burrow, which never happens, and they cut out the most vital one: the battle at the end.

What's up with that? Who agrees that they've done it once again?

I've been getting into old movies lately, especially old musicals. I've seen Oklahoma, the Wizard of Oz, The King and I, My Fair Lady, The Sound of Music, Gone with the Wind... the really obvious ones... I need some titles if anyone knows of any classics that I ought to see while I'm in the old movie mood! I'm already considering West Side Story, Carousel, Sabrina, The Fiddler on the Roof... I wanted to know if A-Data is a recommended brand. Will it last long? Is it easily damaged? I don't mean is it breakable, but does it function well?

Also, I got the 8GB one with, supposedly, a lifetime waranty. Is $37 a good price, or did I get ripped off? I'd like to know before I actually open it. Should I exchange it or did I get a good deal?

I'm in the middle of reading the book. But I think I missed a couple of details. When is it mentioned that Gandalf's hat is pointy. I didn't notice that anywhere, though I was paying particular attention to the description of Gandalf. I was also wondering if Legolas is ever described as being blonde. I don't think the latter is ever mentioned.

I would really appreciate any confirmation or negation, and if possible, a reference to the text. I don't mean page number, just around what part of the story.
