I have decided on getting a Roman name for myself because I am drawn to the glory and legacy of Ancient Rome. I have been looking at names like Demeter, Aurellius and Augustus. If you could suggest good Roman names with the meaning of each name included it would be very much appreciated.

Despite the fact that Western civilisation is almost entirely Christian, people are still wowed and awed by the tales of Greco-Roman and Nordic gods like Minerva, Jupiter, Thor and other gods of religions predating Christianity even though their religion may say that it is false?

I've known this girl since I took part in a competition during one of our activities. She seemed open and friendly and welcoming, and she seemed to flirt with me and gave me the puppy eyes look while also taking a picture with me. That was in June, and I can't get her out of my mind since then. She was pretty, smart and ambitious. We clicked immediately and still keep contact on Facebook and Skype. This may seem irrational, but I want to form a relationship with her. She's moving somewhere nearer to where I live next year. How do I know if she's got a boyfriend and how do I go about becoming her boyfriend if she doesn't have one?

The traditions of Eastern religions like Buddhism, Jainism and Hinduism proscribed vegetarianism for its holy men, but for Christianity, Islam and Judaism, meat and fish is regularly eaten. For Christianity, wine and other alcohol can also be consumed. Why is this so?

I believe that we are more or less familiar with the structure of the modern day military which is not heavily based on class, but rather more on achievement. But in the past, especially the 19th Century, this was not so. How was it like? The food, the uniforms, the structure, the ranks?

Seems to me that adults seem to blame every ill and bad happening in the world on us. They say that everything we do is bad, we are deteriorating and so forth. The reality is that people have been saying this for thousands of years. If the younger generation seems to keep getting worse, why does the world turn out fine anyway?

I have a 500GB External Hard Drive. When I had my computer upgraded, I plugged it in to use. The computer froze, so I restarted it. However, after that, it cannot be detected anymore and can't be used. But it works fine on other computers. Can anyone please assist me in this? Thank you very much.

2 weeks ago, I dreamt that I was a Wehrmacht (Nazi German) soldier. A group of dissidents and me had kidnapped a high ranking officer and put me in his place. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chiang_Wei-kuo) I was tasked to kill Hitler. Then, I walked down a sunny and lush grass plain. It was so idyllic and tranquil. Then, my dream completely changed. When I woke up, my first thought was that I failed to kill Hitler and was executed by the SS.

Although I'm still one year away from my GCSE (equivalent), I've been putting serious thought into my Pre-U education. I'm very interested in Physics and Mathematics. As my career choices, among the options I have are Actuarial Science and Engineering. I would appreciate it greatly if you could also suggest other suitable career paths for me.

Onto my questions on A-Levels, I have been thinking of taking up Mathematics, Pure Mathematics, Physics, English and also English Literature. The question here is that although most students take up 4-AS Levels, and also 3 A-Levels, is it possible also to do 5 AS and 4 A-Levels? Will there be extra cost to my fees if I take up an extra subject, or is it too burdensome to do so? I have to put on 2 other compulsory subjects onto my A-levels which I have chosen. (Thinking Skills and National Studies)

Is it possible if you could also share with me your experience while studying for the A-Levels, and also pointers for entering a good university? I greatly appreciate your assistance. Thank you.

I myself don't really know the answer to this question. We've heard of brilliant children born to geniuses, and on the opposite spectrum, intelligent parents having normal kids or normal parents having child prodigies. What really is the truth? I see myself as a little smart, like my parents are smart too.

I'm not a Christian, or a Catholic, but I have very many Christian friends. I never knew that there was more than one sect of Christianity until a Catholic friend of mine told me about the Holy Trinity. What really is so different between Catholicism and Protestantism that people were, and still are willing to kill one another?

PS: If the Roman Catholic Church was the dominant Christian power in Europe for 1000 years, why is it that Martin Luther's proclamations changed everything so much that Christianity and Catholicism are now separate?

MY best friend and I were in my house which i moved out of 2 years ago. We were discussing what to do, since my crush was coming to stay with us. Before we were ready with her room, she came with her luggage. Instead of staying in one of the 3 main rooms, she chose to put herself in a small one with only a bed, cupboard and bedside table. (Strangely I never had such a room in my real house.) She was moody and sad. (If she couldn't stay with her parents, who wouldn't be?) We then asked her to join us for lunch, which she politely refused. Thus, she spent the whole day cooped up in there. At dinnertime, we called out again, but she again refused. When we said it was pizza, she then quietly came out and took a slice. Later, a guy who also used to like her came as a repair man. After getting angry that she was staying with me, we ended up chatting normally.

I had this dream 2 months ago. Can anyone help me understand it? Thank you.

I have been thinking about this for quite a while. I have read many articles and watched many shows on both empires. In fact, I was dangling with the idea of writing a book, though I don't have the discipline and the will to do one.
