Second english ride of the year on my ottb mare. :) i know I'm not the best, I've already picked out a lot that i need to work on from these videos but id like a second opinion! Also my stirrups were a bit longer on purpose and i didn't bother to put them up for the little jump cuz i only went over it 3 times :P dont worry about the jumps, they were pretty bad xD just the flat stuff please :)

A good friend of mine is turing 16 in two weeks. i want to get him something, but I'm not totally sure what. he is my closest guy friend, but I've only known him for two months and i don't know any specific details about the things he is into that would really help me choose a gift. I'm a little low on cash, and i just want to get him maybe a few small things.

he always wears bracelets, so i was thinking id look for the type of bracelet he likes and get him one of those, and maybe a new pair of earbuds since he is always borrowing mine, but ill have to wait and see because he might just buy some on his own before then.

i know he likes music and listens to a lot of dub step.

he's into gaming but I'm not sure what kind of games really other than shooting type

he's got a big sense of humour and loves to make people laugh and likes just weird, odd objects and stuff that you can laugh at and be like "WTF? xD" but stuff like that can be hard to find!

does anybody have any ideas ?

also i can't get anything online, so stuff that i would be able to find at a store would be cool :) would prefer not anything that might say i have feelings for him. He has a gf, and we are just friends.

I have a tb mare who i have owned for about a year and a half. She is ten years old, and raced as a 3 year old, 4 year old, and then did a couple as 6 year old before being retrained as a riding horse at 7 years old. In all the time i have had her, and her previous owner has had her *my barn owner* she did not have any leg problems. Now about a month ago, she suddenly got some swelling in her leg. At first i thought it was some bug stings. lots of the horses were getting them. i cold hosed her leg for a few days but it wasn't going away, and seemed to be covering more area. I started cold hosing a couple times a day, and putting on absorbine at the instructions of my barn owner. It was getting better, and eventually i stopped worrying. i stopped treating her and she was doing fine, then suddenly it came back. it wasn't as bad as before, and she was moving sound on it. i brought her to my home where i have a small paddock, and being on the small paddock made it go away completely. then of course, it suddenly came back. it seemes to be traveling up her leg slightly, getting closer to her knee, but not effecting her knee at all. when there is no swelling, i ride her lightly and make sure to wrap her legs if i do. Riding her doesn't seem to have any effect on the swelling coming and going. My barn owner just brushes it off as nothing when i ask her about it. (she has lots of experience with equine medical situations and knows a lot about injuries and first aid). normally i would have called a vet by now, but my dad went and blew all out money on his credit cards and now my family is very in debt, so much that we rarely are able to do groceries after our bills are paid (including my horse's.) I help out with costs as much as i can, but i can't afford the vet and my parents won't pay for one because they trust my barn owner so much and they think that if she doesn't think much of it, then there is nothing wrong. i want to be able to have my horse back, and ride her like normal. What do i do? Has anybody ever experienced something like this now and might know what is wrong?

I'm amazed! today the vet called me.. they had found our cat who has been missing for over 4 years! we got to take her home but she is very shy and jumping now.. we also have a dog now, and she is terrified of her :/ she has calmed down a lot and as long as my dog is just sleeping or something she is okay and will wonder the house but if my dog is up and moving around she runs away and hides. i want her to be as comfortable as possible and want her to trust us again and get used to the dog. tips please?

I've been seeing a guy and i guess we sort of have a "thing". we have been friends for a long time, and recently when hanging out we ended up kissing and we know we like each other. We've hung out more since then and kiss and hold hands and all that stuff, but i want him to actually ask me out and make it official. is he just waiting for the right moment or something? or could he think we are already together and that he doesn't need to say anything?

in my area we only have too small shows a year. They are schooling type shows, but you can also get points if your doing the circuit, where you travel between towns and show. i just do the two shows, and am wanting to buy my own jacket. i always borrow my trainers. Black seems to be the most common, along with navy but i was wondering if a light grey jacket would be okay? I love the look of them, and since this is just a small show would it matter?

i show in english pleasure, equitation, hunt seat, and show hack. I hate the look of navy blue coats, so id rather have black or grey, but grey seems more common to find used than black.

When I'm done high school, i really want to start working with rescue horses. I want to get young, cheap rescues, bring them up to health, put some training into them and then resell them to whatever they seem best suited for! i know there is going to be a lot of money in feed, medical and farrier bills :P i don't wanna do it for the money, i want to do it because i love horses and all my riding life i have been around rescues. I've watched them become AMAZING horses! it would make me very happy to give these horses another chance, even if its only a few. This would be something i would do along with working a minimum wage job and id still be living at home with my parents supporting me. I'm not sure what i want when it comes to collage and stuff like that, but it most likely will be online and i will probably take a couple years off school. so, in something like this, is there any money to be made? is there any chance i could do this as an actual career?

also, please don't be rude and bash this idea or tell me how i don't have the ability when you don't even know me or what kind of horses I've worked with.

my ten year old tb came in one morning with a little bit of swelling on her front leg. She is walking slightly off, but is not reluctant to move around and still trots around in the paddock. This happened maybe 4 or 5 days ago. I'm not sure what happened, since my horse lives out 24/7 on a large pasture, it could be anything. The swelling is very small, just a little bubble kind of in the middle of her lower leg between the knee and fetlock. Maybe the size of a loonie. My trainer looked at it and said to cold hose her leg and put on absorbine which i have done everyday. the first two days it seemed to go down quite a bit, but now its not doing anything. I don't have a stall or anything so i can't stall her. Should i be getting the vet out? or will they just tell me to keep doing the same thing. any thoughts?

maybe 3 days ago i noticed my horse was walking slightly off on her front left. i picked out her hoof, and then checked her lower leg. I found a small spot of swelling near the inside of her leg. My trainer said she probably just clipped herself while out in the pasture. *my horse lives out 24/7 in a herd on a large pasture* and told me to cold hose it a couple times a day and put absorbine on it and it should go away in a day or two. I've done that every day, and it has gone down a bit, and is barely there, but won't go away. My trainer said she agreed that it has definitely gone down but didn't say anything else. Her walk has greatly improved almost completely normal. Will the swelling go away or could this be something more serious?

I'm looking to TRADE my english saddles for one that will fit my horse. Ive posted all over Facebook pages but are there any websites beside kijiji and craigslist where i could post my ad for free?

I've gone through so many saddles, and the one i just got is the best fit I've been able to find in my price range for my horse! The sweat marks are even and theres no pinching anywhere. However, it slides all over the place! even after tightening it like 5 times, ever time i get on it tips over to the side. Should i sell this saddle and get another ? or could i fix this problem with a non slip pad and/or a breast collar ?

i need some ideas for music :P

I got some really beautiful clips of my horse and i in the sunset last night but I'm having trouble finding the right music to edit the clips to! i want something pretty and peaceful so not too fast :) any ideas?

I don't get it. no guys like me. I'm not mean, I'm not ugly, I'm a little quiet but that goes away pretty fast! I really want more guy friends and a boyfriend but i just can't get any :(

I was talking to this guy for about 8 or 9 months. We have hung out a lot and stuff and then all the sudden out of nowhere he just stopped talking to me. I messaged him a few times asking if he was mad at me but no answer. then i just gave up and i miss him everyday still.. that was a few months ago.

I started talking to this other guy last month. We knew each other from school the year before having a class together and he was always so sweet and easy going. We started talking again and made plans to hangout, and then again out of nowhere he stopped talking to me and refuses to answer me!

Then i meet a guy online. Very sweet, nice guy we talked everyday and then AGAIN he stopped talking to me outta nowhere and won't answer!

I'm feeling very sad and down.. like something is wrong with me and nobody wants me.. it hurts and i don't understand.. advice at all, anyone?

i was out trail riding around our local lake with a friend. At the beach i like to let my horse go into the water, so we went in to about her knees and she started splashing like crazy and having a great time, but after i realized the stirrups and fenders of my saddle got SOAKED. It isn't real leather. Will the water damage my saddle or do anything to the dye ?

Do to some stupid drunken **** that should of never happened.. legally i can't speak to my boyfriend or have communication with him. Its been around two months and we have done lots to try and make the crown council change their mind about the charges. BUT THEY HAVENT MADE A DECISION my boyfriend had his court date on the second and they were supposed to make up their mind by then but they are not.. my boyfriends mom is hiring a lawyer to try and help move things along. i have no hope left. i miss him so much! I'm so depressed, don't want to do anything and cry daily. not talking to him for 2 months has driven me insane.. i love him.. plan to spend the rest of my life with him but now thats ruined..what if i never get to talk to him again.. I'm having dreams about killing myself and think about.. I've been struggling with on and off depression for almost 5 years but it hasn't been like this in a long time… i used to self harm and want to die but that was about 3 years ago and now its back because my very best friend in the whole world has been taken from me.. please.. i don't know what to do anymore..

Are Silver Fox saddles good starter saddles ? I'm looking for something to just school in and do small local shows with. I had one, don't think it was the same brand, but was very similar looking and it was a good fit on my horse. i haven't been able to find anything that fit my horse since then. i had to sell mine because it was too small of a seat for me

I was looking at buying somebodies Regency english saddle. Is it worth it ? I know its a cheaper saddle - some cheaper brands are okay. Ive used a few before that were perfectly fine. but I've never used this kind. I just need it for schooling and schooling shows and i don't want to spend a ton of money on a saddle that ill barely use and show in twice a year :P
