I am making a cardboard boat for a school function and my friend and I thought we would design something like a miniature longboat. It only needs to fit about 3 people, but we were wondering if a tall figurehead (probably a dragon) would make it easier to tip?

If we are thinking correctly, then wouldn't it act like adding a longer handle to a lever and increase the force of any direction that the ship would rock?

I will be going on a school-sponsored trip to France with about 20 of my schoolmates this summer. Our itinerary includes Paris, Normandy, and Brittany on the list and our breakfasts, most travel fees, and dinners are covered in the fees for the tour. We will be in France for 9 days including the days we fly in and out, so any guesses on how much spending money I'll need?

I plan on buying a reasonable amount of souvenirs but I am a relatively frugal person to begin with...

Any extra travel advice is welcome :)

My mom practically forced a dress magazine on me the other day and now that i think about it, i have absolutely no clue how to dress for prom!

So I am about 5'4"-ish, possibly a bit heavier than i should be :/ (but beautiful by Ancient Roman standards :D) long, straight, dark-brown/black hair, dark brown eyes, and yellowish/tan skin (I'm half Filipina but i assume i won't be very tan by prom time)

My measurements are 38" 34" and 39" (if i'm doing that right...))

i'm very into the grecian/goddess gowns (empire waist, column dresses) but i'm still open to suggestions...

My ear is really in pain right now and I can't get to the doctor until Tuesday. I also have strep throat right now so... yeah.

My first question is: Do you think it is swimmers ear (my family recently got a pool) or can my strep be affecting my ear (no i'm not stupid-- your ear and throat are connected)?

My second question is: Should I go to the emergency room? my mom brought up the option but I don't want to be a burden, financially or otherwise.

My third question is: Is there any possibility that not attending to this until Tuesday could result in permanent hearing damage?
