Just how many people have actually got to heaven?
If god only lets in those who follow him then there cant be many compared to everyone who has every lived. Christianity has only been around for 2000 years. Most of the world is not christian and even of those that are, they cant agree on how god wants to be worshipped. There are over 38000 denomination. Granted, there are a fair few catholics, but even then how many follow his teachings to the letter and how many just say they are. Its like Man U fans. Millions claim to be loyal but only a small proportion go to the games.

Even though it only has 5 words in it, thou shall not kill, some people still try to twist it's meaning.

.... in fact, with a population of 300 million, they get less medals per head than most other leading countries. At the last summer olympics they got 1 gold for approx every 8 million people. GB got 1 for approx every 3 million. Australia - 1 gold for every 1.5 million. Too many burgers perhaps?

9 AnswersRunning1 decade agoHow dull is Rugby Union?
The three 6 nations games over the weekend yielded 7 tries between them. The Rugby League world club challenge between Leeds and Manley had 9.
The ball is in play for an average 30-35 mins in a union match. The league equivalent is 50-55 mins.
How can anyone defend that?

47 AnswersElections1 decade agoMy clock radio is not working. Spooky?
Last thursday before I went to work I had a power cut. The whole area was off as far as I could tell.
When I came home that night it was back on, so I reset the time on my mains powered clock radio.
Friday morning the alarm went off but on putting on the TV I realised that it was 1/2 hour fast. I thought it must have been me that set it wrong so re-reset the time.
Saturday morning, the time was now 1 hour fast. I suspected that the power cut could have blown a circuit in the clock and it was gaining 1 hour every 24.
I bought a new clock radio on sunday, plugged it in and set the time
This morning this too was 1/2 hour fast.
I plugged the old clock in 3 hours ago in a different plug socket and re-set the new one to the same time.
They are both now 10 minutes fast.
Do I need to call in
a. An electrician
or
b. Agent Moulder from the X files
Any suggestions as to what is happening? Has anyone else in the Leeds area seen this?
3 AnswersOther - Electronics1 decade agoAre cars a good thing?
Just been stuck for hours in my car and got thinking, is the world a better place with cars.
Traffic jams, pollution, cost of using them, accident rates, parking issues, the country gradually being tarmaced over
Does the extra freedom outweigh the downsides.
Whats the alternative if we dont have them.
10 AnswersOther - Cars & Transportation1 decade agoHow can anyone say that Rugby Union is more exciting than League?
After this weekends games, England v Samoa and Bradford v Wigan, anyone who saw both must agree that league is by far superior. The open, attacking, fast, athletic league version v the never get going, kick to death, pile on union rubbish.
