  • College Application Essays!?

Would it be weird if I turned in one essay single-spaced and the other double-spaced. The only requirement is that each essay can be no longer than 1 page. I had a lot to say in one of my essays, but not so much the other one. The first one fits perfectly on one page single-spaced. The other one fits perfectly on one page double-spaced, but looks to short single-spaced.

I'm hoping this is the most stressful part of the application process. haha

  • Should i skip season 11 of Naruto Shippuden?

I'm aware that they're filler episodes and I've been skipping all fillers up until this point, but i'm wondering if I should watch these for some reason or just skip them.

  • Do I stand a chance at being accepted into Texas A&M?

So this is definitely my number one choice right now, since I pretty much know I stand no chance in getting into UT.

Anyways, I need help from those who are either applying or have already been accepted and are now attending Texas A&M. If you were rejected please let me know for what reasons.

Class Rank: Top 25%, more specifically 13%

    SAT: 1720

    ACT: 25

    GPA: 3.7

    No extracurricular

    12 hours community service

I'm planning on retaking both the ACT and SAT, but since applications are first due on August 1st, I'll have to give them those two terrible scores with my application. Unfortunately, there are no test dates until after that dead line.

So what do you think? Either way I'll still give it a shot. I'd just like to feel more confident about it.

  • Physics Questions! blah blah blah?

I got these specific questions wrong on my test, and i'm not quite sure how to get the right answer. I need to know so I can put it on my review for my final. Here they are and thank you:

    a) 0 J b) 30 J c)290 J d)2,300 J

    3. A 28 gram arrow is given a PE of 65 J as the bowstring is dran back into poistion. As the arrow leaves teh bow, its speed is about:

    a)23 m/sec b)68 m/sec c) 48 m/sec d) 15m/sec

These were my answers, which were obviously wrong

    1.a

    2.c

    3.a

This isn't homework, so don't yell at me.

PS: please show me how you got the answer, so i know what to do for final

  • Will my license be suspended?

I was involved in a car accident about two weeks ago.

I was given two citations, one for failing to yield and the other for having too many passengers. I'm 17 years old and have a provisional drivers license. I've been doing some research and I read that my license could get suspended if I receive two moving violations in a period of 12 months. I obviously received two citations, but is the citation for having too many passengers considered to be a moving violation that could get my license suspended?

  • So I got invited to prom...?

A couple weeks ago a senior invited me to prom. I said yes and my parents agreed to me going. I'm a junior so this is some pretty exciting stuff. Unfortunately my parents just recently told me I couldn't go because they want me to focus on studying for my SAT, ACT, and AP exams. Although i'm a little bummed out, I completely understand. How do I break the news to my prom date? Should I just tell him exactly that? How would you feel in this situation, because I kinda feel like a complete bi*** D:

  • In The Great Gatsby, what theme is present...?

when Gatsby leans on a mantle and knock s the clock off, but quickly catches it before it hits the ground?

The theme needs to directly connect with the scene and nothing comes to mind.

    Thank you(:

  • Could this be considered a catachresis?

Definition: A harsh metaphor involving the use of a word beyond its strict sphere.

  • Algebra 2 math question?

The tens digit of a two-digit positive integer is 2 more than three times the ones digit. If the digits are reversed (interchanged), the new number is 13 less than half the original number. Find the original number.

This is a question on my review. My teacher gave the class the answers to the review, so i know the answer i just don't know how to go about solving it. I need a step by step on how to solve it for the test, so any help would be greatly appreciated(:

  • Algebra...help.......?

I have a test and I have no idea if I'm simplifying the expressions correctly. Help?

    (7x^3)^2 / (5y^3)=

    (11x^2)^2 / (y^3) =

    (-5x^5)^3 / (15y^4)=

    (x^4)^2 / (y^3) * (y^3)^2 / (x^4)

I've already tried doing them, but I want to make sure they're right. Thanks.
