Why was Bill Clinton Impeached, while Bush and Reagan were not?
Yes, Bill Clinton did lie about having an affair, But Ronald Reagan lied about the Iran-Contra Affair. His administration facilitated the sale of arms to Iran and Reagan lied about it. The George W. Bush administration tortured prisoners and called it "enhanced interrogation techniques." He also lied about there being WMD's in Iraq, which was the sole reason for us going to War. Why were neither of these guys impeached?
22 AnswersPolitics8 years agoWhy are Republican so gung ho about raising Medicare Age to 67?
It does nothing but look good on paper. It's something that the Right can crow about as a victory. What it actually does is cost more money than it saves. "This proposal would do nothing to reduce healthcare costs and merely shift billions of dollars in expense to employers, Medicaid, younger people, state governments, even hospital emergency rooms. And it would save far less for Medicare than its proponents hope." http://www.usnews.com/debate-club/should-the-medic...
6 AnswersPolitics8 years agoWhen did Compromise become a bad thing in Congress?
I am directing this mostly as the Tea Party. We might not always agree but the Tea Party seems to refuse to compromise on anything. How does this make our Country any better? Now there's even a petition to get rid of John Boehner because he's not conservative enough and is negotiating with the President. Where does the insanity stop?

49% of GOP voters nationally say they think that ACORN stole the election for President Obama.
Acorn has been out of business since 2010.
12 AnswersPolitics8 years agoDoes anyone else feel that Churches should pay taxes?
When I say Churches, I of course am including all Religious institutions. I propose a tax on all Churches that make $1 Million or more in profit. Non-profit organizations would be excluded of course. They can keep their sales tax exemption.
22 AnswersPolitics8 years agoConservatives, Did you know when we say the Red States are Welfare States...?
We are not talking about how many people are on Welfare. We are talking about you being a Net drain on the rest of us. You take in more Federal Spending than you pay in taxes—Red States, the ones governed by folks who think government is too big and spending needs to be cut — You talk a good game, but stick the Blue States with the bill. 15 of the top 20 are Red States.

4 AnswersPolitics8 years agoWas Jesus a believer in Evolution?
He said "Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men." I think that was a direct reference to the fact that all of mankind evolved from fish. Everyone knows that before life could evolve on land, it had to crawl out of the sea.
Jesus was ahead of his time.

5 AnswersReligion & Spirituality10 years agoIf Noah's sons only had boys, how did they repopulate the world?
Genesis 10 states that Noah's three sons, only had male offspring. How did they repopulate the world without female offspring (since everyone else died in the flood)?

6 AnswersReligion & Spirituality10 years agoIs man today just as superstitious as he's always been?
Yellowstone Park in the US, which geologists say is a super volcano that could wipe out 2/3's of the country, could be overdue for an eruption.
Whenever a large scale natural disaster happens you hear many of the Religious right say that it's a sign of the end times and that the end of days is near.
As a species, are we any less superstitious than we were 10,000 years ago?

5 AnswersReligion & Spirituality10 years agoIf Jesus is actually God?
Then why would he still be Jesus? Wouldn't he return to the Holy Spirit and just be God instead of a separate entity?
After all, two separate beings is polytheism.
22 AnswersReligion & Spirituality10 years agoOpen Question about the Rapture and Armageddon?
If the Rapture happens before Armageddon... who on the side of good will be left to fight in the final battle when all the "chosen" have been taken away?
Armageddon is supposed to be the final battle between good and evil. God has forsaken those of us left behind, why should we do what he tells us? Why would we follow Jesus? You know us atheists will want some proof that a heaven exists and we'll insist on talking to the big man himself.
Seriously, what's in it for those of us Left Behind?
5 AnswersReligion & Spirituality10 years agoWhere are all the Centrist Republican Presidential Candidates?
As an Independent, I'm not too impressed with this crowd so far. What ever happened to Centrist Republicans?
If the Republican Party really thinks Americans were voting for the Tea Party in 2010, they're kidding themselves. The Tea Party was in the right place at the right time. Most Americans were voting for change, nothing else. The candidates we've got running now aren't going to win anything.
8 AnswersElections10 years agoChristians: Who is this person called Jesus you worship?
Many people here say that Jesus is the Greek version of his Hebrew name, which is totally not true.
The name Jesus was made up from a misinterpretation of his Hebrew name when the New Testament was written in Greek. (the name Jesus had not been known before this interpretation). His real name is Yeshua (or Yehoshuah) today commonly interpreted as Joshua. Other Yeshua's are mentioned in the New Testament and are correctly interpreted as Joshua (in today's English). The name Joshua, means Yahweh is salvation. Doesn't that make perfect sense for a Messiah?
Because Jesus is so important to your faith, shouldn't you at least be praying to your God with the correct name?
Or is intent okay? Say you pray to Zeus, but really meant God, would he understand?
10 AnswersReligion & Spirituality10 years agoChristians: Did you know that Paul was a Pagan?
This in response to an earlier question I posted where I stated that Apostle Paul was a pagan.
Saint Epiphanius (Bishop of Salamis) wrote the Panarion in 375 CE. In it he wrote that Paul was not a Pharisee, nor even a Jew, but a gentile proselyte to Judaism. A gentile is a non-Jew and a proselyte is a newcomer to Israel. This means that Paul was not born a Jew. Now if he wasn't yet a Jew and he wasn't yet a Christian, what else would he be?
The Panarion was later discredited by the church because it talked about heresies. Anything that disagrees with bible dogma is considered heresy.
