  • What's the max I can plug into one outlet?

Currently plugged into a single outlet (with a power strip): DSL router; WiFi router; Vonage VOIP router; external hard drive; cordless phone. A printer & a lamp are plugged into a nearby outlet that's 99% on the same circuit breaker.

I'd like to plug one more item in (new Pogoplug, which also needs to connect to the external hard drive). To do so, I'll need to add a 2nd power strip since I just can't cram any more power blocks into the strip I've got.

    Too much?

  • What is the membership arrangement for Club Quarters hotels?

I work at a small firm (5 people) that travels to the Club Quarters cities (NYC, Boston Chicago, etc.) for at least 20 nights per year. And, we have clients coming into DC for meetings nearly weekly.

Is Club Quarters membership worth while for a firm our size?

Would our clients be able to use our rates when they travel to DC?

  • How to get rid of Blackberry Duplicate Calendar Entries?

Any way to quickly & easily kill all these duplicates?

  • In DC, do you recomment Verizon Wireless or AT&T?

I live in DC and am considering a switch from Verizon to AT&T. Which is a better network in DC (and elsewhere)?

Considerations: I use my cell for nearly all my calls. Am going to get a Blackberry Pearl on either network.

  • Paul Smith shirts: How do you wear the buttons & cuffs?

I have a couple Paul Smith dress shirts, and the cuffs seem to be "cuff link optional," with both a button and a double button hole.

Is this just a design feature, or is it ok to wear with a cuff link?

If I wear with a cuff link, do I need to remove the button?

    Thank you.

  • Washington DC paychecks: What law requires twice-per-month paychecks?

I have heard that, in Washington, DC, employers are required by law to pay you twice per month. But, I have searched and been unable to find the actual law.

    I need to know:

    (1) does this law, in fact, exist? And can I get the text of it online?

    (2) is there an exemption for small employers?

    (3) are there other exceptions or loopholes?

Can someone point me to the text of the law?

[Note: I know that the House of Representatives pays their employees only once per month, but they are in suppose exempted, as the Federal Govt. My question does not relate to this fact.]

  • iTunes: how do I confirm an album pre-order?

I clicked the pre-order for Springsteen's forthcoming "Magic" CD, but I got an error message since I had already downloaded the one free available track (Radio Nowhere).

I can't tell if I actually pre-ordered Magic or not. How do I confirm?

I have looked under "account" and its not listed as a purchase, but I don't think they charge me until the actual release date (Oct 2nd).

    Thanks!

  • How to network a non-network external hard drive?

    I have a (1) Seagate Technology 200 GB USB 2.0 and FireWire External Drive (ST3200823AR) and a (2) Linksys WET54G Wireless-G Ethernet Bridge.

I want to get rid of my old Dell CPU, since I now use laptop over the WiFi network. I keep all my music, etc. on the external drive.

Can I somehow network this hard drive so its directly accessible over the wifi network? Thank you!
