  • Should I get rid of these goldfish?

We got a larger tank and we have 3 goldfish, 1 black moor and 2 comet goldfish. And people say that you should never mix varieties but the black moor is very greedy and can keep up with comets. I want to get 2 more goldfish, a ranchu and an oranda but I'm not sure if there is room. The comets are taking up the room. Should I get rid of them? I'd feel bad but... I'm not sure!!! Opinions, anyone?

  • my little black moor!!!! help!?

I love my little buddy. Yesterday I saw this white circle on his pectoral fin (the front front ones) and so I spoke to the pet store and they said it was white spot. On the medicine package it shows the fish covered in white spots but my black moor only has one and it is a little raised. I put the medicine in. The thing is, he is not scratching himself off things and he is acting normal. Anyway I put the medicine in and they are acting fine. Looked at my little buddy and he is keeping that fin close to him when swimming. He does use it 70 percent of the time (just in the minutes I watched him swimming) but I do see him keeping it in sometimes. Is the medicine working its magic and its stinging or what is going on? I LOVE my fish and don't want him to be in pain or die. Tell me what you know/think

  • Goldfish Behaviour, does it happen?

So yesterday our 2 goldfish started slowing down at around 7, 8 o' clock PM. Then in the morning they are fine and active and very healthy.

Now, it is 8 o' clock, and they are slowing down a small bit. Are they tired? Is that their "routine". I mean, there is nothing wrong, I have a filter that is constantly shooting out bubbles & oxygen. I hae not introduced anything "alien". Is this just the way they are? They just start calming down and getting a bit slower?

  • My goldfish.... possibly weird behaviour?

My goldfish just lies at the bottom of the tank, he's not on his side or anything and he does breathe and move every so often but I'm wondering why he is at the bottom? is it the water quality? and how do I make the water better? I have water conditioner and I filled big bowls of water and put it in and hopefully I will change the water soon?

he has these weird fits(i dont know what to call them) and he swims around really fast but I'd say he's following his reflection

should I be concerned, he stays at the bottom

  • Fish on the tank floor, under bridge, but breathing?

Got my goldfish at the end of October.

Cleaned tank yesterday. (It was my goldfish's first tank clean)

    He was fine that evening.

Woke up this morning and he's lying on the ground, and now he's under the bridge ornament. WhYYY?

He's still breathing but he doesn't bother to swim or anything.

    What's wrong with him?
