  • how to add minced garlic to sauce?

I'm looking up a recipe and I need to mince garlic to add to the sauce. The sauce won't be heated up, it will be a sauce that will be cooled down. Sow how will the garlic blend into the sauce without making it chunky, as minced garlic is basically garlic cut up into finner pieces?

Here are the ingredients for the sauce:

3/4 cup mayonnaise ( not salad dressing)

    1/4 cup parmesan cheese

    2 Tbsp chopped parsley

    2 Tbsp lemon juice

1 Tbsp olive oil or vegetable oil

    1 clove minced garlic

    Any ideas?

  • Am I OCD when I lose something or when something that i own is moved by someone else?

Every time i lose something i own(ex.: wallet, a note, etc) or when someone moves around something that I own (ex, reorganizes my desk, cleans my room), i fall into this state where I can't get anything done for the next few hours or even the next day. Usually this comes with emotional pain. I'm not as worried about when I lose things, as it's probably normal for anyone to feel bad when they lose something, but I think it's more odd for me to feel this when things are moved around by others. Could this mean I'm OCD, and if so is this more obsessive or compulsive? If it's not OCD, what might this be?

    Thanks.

  • How to pause the execution of a method in java?

I'm writing a program where there will be many vehicles (each being their own instance of an object) that must go through different stations one by one. One a vehicle is at a station, they will stay there for x seconds, and while they are there all other vehicles that want to stop at that station must wait their turn.

Is there a way of making a method within a class 'waste' x seconds before returning a value? It is important that I dont want the whole program to stop all togheter as this method is at 'sleep'. There will be many objects interacting at the same time.It is also important that I dont want to sleep the station class as i want other vehicles to be able to acess it to see if its state is busy (has already a vehicle) or free (can take a vehicle).

  • What's the name of this movie?

Ok so i was watching part of this movie the other night, but i didn't get the name of the movie. though this is what i saw and caught from it, tell me if you recognize it:

Its about this singer/song writer who lives with his dad (who's a vacuum fixer). He falls in love with this girl that gave him 10 cents a night he was singing on the streets. she sells roses for a living or something. She has a daughter, who's name is Ivanna. She is separated from her husband, and now lives with her mum. This guy ends up landing a record deal and starts recording his songs with the girl and a small band, most of them with piano (which makes them sound very nice).

If anyone knows the name of the movie, it would be appreciated

But when i go to file>export the only option i have is to export 'paths to illustrator'. How can i save my images under other formats?

  • Is there specific seating at the Osheaga Festival in Montreal?

If anyone has been to the Osheaga Festival in the past, this question is for you.

I want to purchase a ticket to the festival in order to join my friends over there. Thing is that we have purchased the tickets at different times. When i go to purchase the ticket online, it keeps talking about seating and stuff, and i want to know if i purchased my ticket later than them if that means that i won't be able to seat with them. Does anyone know about this?

  • What are good types of light sources to use for light graffiti?

Im starting to be very interested into light graffiti, but im trying to figure out what type of light source to use to make certain effects such as this one: http://www.flickr.com/photos/12699577@N02/18060991... , where there seems to be many small light sources that are moving in unision.

Alsom as ive only been using flashlights so far (which make for big lines), what would you suggest to use in order to make smaller lines, small enought to do more detailed work?

    Thanks

  • On what kind of roads are cyclists allowed on?

    Hi,

  • what are the different signs of eye language?

I heard that eye contact is crucial to knowing what someone's really thinking, depending on where their eyes are looking when they talk or are asked questions. I heard that there are 6 diferent places where the eyes could be looking and each region would mean a different feeling - ie recalling a past memory, lying, feeling submissive... etc.

I can't find anywhere where it tells me what feeling is being felt when the eyes are directed to specific directions. Does anyone know?

  • What are the use of channels for a wireless network?

I've set up a wireless network, and the router allows you to choose a channel upon which the signals will be broadcasted. it goes up to 11 i think. Will changing the channel improve the conection speed? Will a higher or lower channel deliver a more stable signal - the signal must go thru 2 walls and a microwave in order to reach my computer so wondered if changing the channel to a certain number will help improve the connection.

  • Does it matter in what configuration i plug the harddrive's ribbon cable?

I installed a new video card in my computer, unfortunately it covers two plugs which were used before for the harddrive and dvd drive's cables: 'SATA0' and 'SATA1'. I figured i'd just move those two cables and connect them to 'SATA2' and 'SATA3'... it goes up to SATA5. Now, my computer won't boot up. Is it because I need to replace the cables at exactly the right SATA slots for my harddrive and my DVD drive?

  • Can a new power supply be too big for a computer - size wise?

I bought a new power supply for my computer, and when i took my old PSU out, i saw that there were some pieces of metal attached to the computer's body that would help keep the PSU in place (ie, a piece of metal that you have to press to take the PSU out of the computer)

Now the new PSU i bought is bigger, so it doesnt fit with those mechanisms, so only the standard 4 screws from the back of the computer is holding it in place. Is this enough? Will it hold?

For people who have replaced their PSU, has anyone have the same problem as me?

    Thanks

  • What's a real good video card for a decent price?

I want to go out and buy a real kick *** video card (one that's gonna last me a good handfull of years before i need to change it again), though judging from the looks, I'm gonna have to buy a new power supply too. So if i had 200-300$ for a video card, what would you recommend?

Some card that are 512M are worth more than the ones at 1G. Why is that? is it purely because they are a generation older, but more recently designed (i heard sumthing that an xx6800 is better than a xx7000, judging solely on its numbers at the end - question of its generation).

    What card would you suggest?
