My girlfriend's prom is on Friday, and I have a nice wool Charcoal suit that I bought to have for a long time. It was only a 2-piece suit, and I know you're not supposed to try to match a vest with a suit if they weren't made together. However, I have recently seen something called the "odd waistcoat" or "odd vest" and have seen lots of helpful things... except an answer to the one question I have–Is it okay to intentionally wear an odd vest (black, incase you forgot) with a charcoal suit?

Also, if it helps, I will be wearing a navy bow tie, and her dress is navy blue. I thought about trying to find a navy vest, but I feel like black will be much easier to come by. In addition to the ease of finding one, I think if it is okay to wear a black vest with charcoal suit that I'd be able to wear that more often than the suit with the blue vest.

Can you change a tube from a 6L6GC to an EL84 or vice versa without modding? Or with a 6V6GT to a EL84 or vice versa? My point is, can you change a certain tube to a different tube without modding.

This is on electric guitar amps.

Is it possible (and if so, how hard) to transform a tube combo amp (Peavey ValveKing 112) into a head (you know, to put on a cab)? Could you give me any links to websites or instructions? Thanks.

I want to get a Blackheart Little Giant BHB5 head. It is a 5 watt tube head. I am worried that it won't be loud enough to keep up with a loud drummer with the 1x12 cab it comes with. So should I get a bigger cab (a 4x12?); or the bigger wattage head, Blackheart Handsome Devil BH15H, which is a 15 watt tube head?

BOTTOM LINE: bigger head or bigger cab?
