  • Anyone want to join me on WoW?

I'm looking to refer a buddy so we can both get bonuses. I'm an experienced player and will help with pretty much everything. So are you interested?

As additional info, I play on Anvilmar, a Player vs Enemy server (no opposite faction killing unless you want it).

  • Anyone want a buddy key for Star Trek Online?

Interested in looking into a new MMO? I have a few buddy keys available for Star Trek Online and am looking to give them out.

Star Trek Online has two forms of combat systems, ground and space, and lots of hours of fun.

Should you decide that you like it after the trial and purchase the full game we would party together to gain bonuses in Captain and Officer skill points (equivalent to exp), bonus to damage for the first 15 days and the ability to warp to each other for the first 30 days.

Does this interest you? You can leave your e-mail here or send me a message to this account with your e-mail and I will send you a buddy key.

  • Did Louis Armstrong's Trumpet Have a Name?

Someone mentioned that they thought he gave his trumpet a name, but I can't seem to find anything on the internet to support it.

  • How would using dual video cards work?

This is a multiple part question.

First is. If I have 2 different video cards (I have currently installed, a nVidia 9400, and a spare uninstalled 8500), and 2 PCI express slots, can I use those together in the system without causing errors or problems or do they have to be the same type of video cards?

The second question is. How would the drivers work for that? In order for both cards to work would I have to have 2 sets of drivers installed or would they use the same drivers (both nVidia products.)

    Thanks.

  • WoW: When WotLK comes out, what are you going to level first?

Are you going to try and get your main toon to 80 first or are you going to start a Death Knight right away?

Personally, I'm pretty torn between making a DK and getting my shammy to 80.

  • Would you support the nation splitting into sections/new territories by religion?

For example, each religion or lack of would take its own section of the USA, and those new territories have their own government, own laws but based on the religion's rules and laws etc.

Would you support the segregation by belief systems? Would everyone be better off if all of the atheists stuck together in one section? What about the Christians? Or the Muslims? Or Mormons? Jehovah's Witnesses? Buddhists? Of course the list goes on and on.

Would you think there would be benefits?

    Drawbacks?

You might get an atheist territory that's pro-choice, but the Christian territory might be pro-life, but the territories wouldn't be affiliated other than the fact that they might share a border. Wouldn't that relieve tensions regarding long standing quarrels?

I'm interested to see what everyone has to say.

  • Don't you think it's funny....?

and a little ironic that a recent video game called Spore, that is about evolution, has the player as the "creator" of a creature and the player chooses evolutionary tracks for that creature?

I know there are people out there that do believe in creation-evolution, but from what I've observed is that most people are either for one side or the other.

Anyone think this is someone's idea of propogating the idea of creation-evolution or just another game?

  • A question to Catholics who pray to the Saints and Mary

Ok, so I've looked into this a little. I've heard several people say that Catholics don't worship the saints/Mary, but instead pray that they will intercede on their behalf to God. Right? So I've looked up the definition of interceding and this is what it says.

: to intervene between parties with a view to reconciling differences : mediate

    http://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/interced...

So then it links me to "mediate" right?

Doesn't the Bible say in 1 Tim 2:5-6 (NIV) that "For there is one God and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus, who gave himself as a ransom for all men–the testimony given in its proper time."

And does Jesus not say in John 14:6 "Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me."

I would think that the "except through me" part of it emphasises that it's through Jesus alone.

So if there is one mediator between us and the Father, and Jesus says that no one comes to the Father but through Him, wouldn't that mean that going to anyone else, such as the saints/Mary, while it may not be worshiping them, it's still not effective because they are not the mediator(s)? Yes I'm aware these things are referring mainly to salvation, but would these also not be references showing that Jesus is it and only Him as the mediator?

Just for clarification, I'm not asking this to be mean/spiteful. I truly want to understand why Catholics do what they do.

  • Modern day miracles. Can they happen?

First take a read of this article.

    http://www.worldnetdaily.com/index.php?fa=PAGE.vie...

I read this article this morning and while I'm Christian, even I can be skeptic sometimes. I would like to believe this was true and they say it was confirmed as well by "non-Christians", so hey, why not?

So the question is. Do you believe that modern day miracles can happen, such as the one mentioned in that article?

Obviously most atheists will say "No" so go for it and get your two points anyway.

  • If prophecy from the Bible was fulfilled before your eyes...?

    what would you think?

I'll put out the Gog/Magog war for example. Ezekiel 38-39. Many nations (Muslim ones by todays borders) come to strike Israel down, and are defeated horribly by many "natural" things such as torrential rains, hail, and burning sulfur.

What would be your thoughts, knowing that prophecy from the Bible was fulfilled? Would it change your outlook? Strengthen it?

  • If better precautions had been taken...?

in preserving the original documents and manuscripts of both the scripture from the Old Testament and the New, and there were no sort of copying errors, and we had full manuscripts from the first century that would later become The Bible, do you think that you would believe the way you do right now? If something came to light like that, would you reconsider your stance?

    Why or why not?

  • What do you think about Iran's President...?

    ...and about this article?

    http://www.jpost.com/servlet/Satellite?cid=1189411...

I don't know how many muslims he represents, but I've read many articles about him and he's said in the past that the "Zionist regime" will be "wiped off the map" and that he's on a mission from Allah.

Religion war? Land war? Or both?

  • To those of you who say the Rapture isn't real....?

or that the word doesn't appear in the Bible, could you maybe specify that it doesn't appear in the english versions of the Bible, or that you don't believe in the rapture rather than stating it as "fact"?

Please educate yourselves fully and clarify before you make inaccurate assumptions and/or statements. The rapture is taught in scripture, even if the word "rapture" doesn't appear in any Bible translated in english doesn't mean the word doesn't exist and doesn't mean that it wasn't used by another language. Anyone that denies it is denying the Word of God. Christian or not.

  • What would you do?...?

If a few billion people disappeared leaving everything but flesh?

Think hard about a few billion people, in all different areas of the world, flying planes, driving cars, sitting next to you, talking with you. What would happen if they just disappeared.

And if the link came out that they were all Christian, would you think that you had missed something?

And if you're gonna answer with "won't happen so I won't worry about it" please don't bother. I've heard that one before and am only interested in honest answers please.
