2 AnswersSoftware5 years agoIs there a biological term for an individual born that year?
I.E. a word like "yearling", but I think that suggests something which has survived for OVER a year. Thanks.
6 AnswersBiology6 years agoLooking to create standardised rounded text boxes for use on annotated drawings in Adobe Illustrator?
I use CS3 - I'll upload a photo when Yahoo Answers is playing ball, but I've found the Area Type Options which allows me to specify "inset spacing". Unfortunately this still needs me to drag the text box to the right size - I'd like it to work automatically if possible.
Any help would be much appreciated!
1 AnswerSoftware6 years agoI m looking for something which can serve as a satnav, in car camera (in order to record incidents) and hands- free phone system.?
Does anyone know of a product which can do these? Ideally it would be permenantly mounted, though I m not overly opposed to window mounting.
Also can this be done through phone apps without using a ridiculous amount of internet?

1 AnswerBiology9 years agoAre coastal populations taller?
Has anyone else noticed this? Coastal populations do seem in general to be taller. Or have I just taken a couple of random examples and assigned this false meaning.
If it is the case - why? Why would individuals in coastal regions grow to a greater maximum height? Is it due to a genetic advantage? Diet perhaps?
I think this could be a subject which might be worth further research.
4 AnswersAnthropology9 years agoAre there any limitations of officially being diagnosed as Dyslexic?
I've always been suspicious I am, however I'm worried about repercussions in terms of future employment prospects/altered insurance rates/other majorly life impacting effects.
1 AnswerSpecial Education9 years agoIs there an organism (probably an invertibrate) which switches anterior and posterior morphology?
I.e. the head becomes the tail and vice versa. I vaguely remember this being during a butterfly during pupation, but couldn't find any confirmation and am now convinced I dreamed this odd "fact".
Thanks in advance!

1 AnswerBiology9 years agoIs my knee broken? What do I do?
I slipped over on a wet floor a couple of weeks ago, and fell on my knee. At the time, it was painful, but I'd had a few drinks, and have quite a high pain tolerance, so didn't think much of it. The knee swelled up, but I could walk fine, so I didn't worry. It's only now that I've noticed, the swelling has gone down, and my knee cap seems to have another piece that's not attached to the main patella.... I perfectly happy before (barring exam stress) and the bruising has almost completely gone. There's not even any real pain... It's just after a few Google searches, I'm worried for my future mobility. Should I head to A&E immediately?

Feel free to go into as much detail as you wish, roles of other components of the extracellular matrix would be appreciated, I'm just doing some extra revision really.
1 AnswerBiology9 years agoThe disc in drive H is not formatted. Do you want to format it now?
I'd like to access some old files on my old internal hard drives. They were working perfectly fine not long ago, however I have since disposed of their old towers (inc. motherboards etc).
When I attach the hard drive on my current PC (running XP home edition) I receive the above message. Basically I'm wanting to know what I can do (if anything) to access the files using my current set-up (I can give PC specs if necessary). Thanks in advance.
1 AnswerDesktops9 years agoHelp, feel like I'm drowning!?
I'm struggling with organisation, deadlines and commitment to my course. I'm currently doing a B.Sc. and am really wanting to come out the other end with a good grade, but I really struggle to get down to doing work. And even once I do, I get distracted incredibly easily. To some extent I find it helps to go into university and study in one of the computer rooms.
My deadlines issue is mainly due to the organisation and commitment, being that I don't write the deadline down, then I'll end up forgetting it until it's too late. Even when I do complete pieces of work, usually I've worked all night, then my grades and my self will suffer. Work takes me much longer than it should due to the ease I get distracted. It's not that I don't find the find the work interesting, often it really is - even then I struggle with distractions.
This in itself is distracting me from doing work... Not sure I'm going to find a solution to my terrible habits and character flaws on here, but some helpful advice would certainly be appreciated.

1 AnswerAgriculture10 years agoIs a Norwegian mobile number necessary for buying minipris tickets with nsb.no?
Hi, I'm from the UK, and planning on going to Norway this December.
Basically the website requires you to enter an 8 digit phone number, however British ones are 9 digit.
It gives the message "If you do not have a 8 digit mobile number you can randomly select a number". Does this mean that a number isn't necessary? They don't send vital details to it or anything?
Would be a huge help, trying to book flights and trains in the next few hours.
