Hey! I am a college student doing a report on Islam. I just visited a mosque for Jam'ah and would appreciate an answer to these questions:

1.) How well does the umma keep the Pillars of Islam?

2.) What is the biggest struggle in a modern society for keeping the Pillars?

3.) What is the ethnicity composition of the members in your group?

4.) How important is ethnic identity? (Are there things you do to preserve a sense of "unity"?)

5.) And lastly for those who have gone on hajj: What was the significant of hajj for you personally?

I am a 16 year old wanting to train in a noble field in which I could assist and help others. My goal for vocation is set and unlikely to change. However I do have some questions that I would be very grateful for any pointers or opinions concerning getting into a medical filed. (I wish to start gathering many of the skills / information necessary so I can work past the basics while in medical school.)

> I am considering assembling a medical kit (first aid) to familiarize myself with the components / working of different supplies. (While also preparing myself for situations in which I can currently assist.) Any recommendations of item groups I should start purchasing? (aka like sprain/fracture treatment: compact arm brace, ace bandages Medications: aspirin, Tylenol, etc.. )

I'm currently in a predicament that I have never fathomed happening to me. Went through and extremely messy "break-up" in which I was completely betrayed and bla bla bla bla.... *That* is not the confusing part. (No I am not shallow... I just understand. I know why I felt the pain from this. It's nothing that I did, it was that her parents disapproved and she lied to get out of punishment. Lied about me.)

Here is the REALLY confusing part. So there is this girl.. funny, intelligent, beautiful, friendly, sweet, girl. Many guy would just be besides themselves to have her. But she has "waited" for me. (No, I was not having a "plan B" not that type of guy. I am a devoted person and would never betray someone I care about's trust.) But she has waited for me in the fact that she knew what this other girl I was dating was like an expected for her to rip my heart out and tear it to pieces. And she wanted to be there to pick up those pieces and fix me.

Sound lovely and wonderful and adorable, right? But there is only one problem... I don't feel anything. I just don't. It's like someone has numbed my ability to love. She expects me just to love her... not stated but it's quite obvious. And I want to. I care about her, she is a sweet girl and it has touched me dearly that she waited even when there seemed very little hope.

But I just don't know what to do. I give you complete liberty to suggest anything you wish. You have read my silly story and if you are willing to give life advice for a guy who doesn't know what's going on... I would dearly appreciate you.

What would you say is an excellent thought or argument that attempts to logically prove God wrong? (Like a small sentence or saying... such as "How can you believe in God who you have not seen"?)

(Note, while I am Christian myself I will NOT refute the questions you put here, I'm merely trying to better understand the arguments against God.)

So I have to present a question that is based on the philosophy of Charles Darwin to a small group of three that will then discuss it while being observed by another group of three who will after wards discuss the first's group's discussion.

Now my questions is, can anyone supply me with a question to impose on the first group to make them think. Not extremely complicated but good thought food. (not related to religion EXTREMELY. This is a group of mixed religions and don't want to step on anyone's toes.)

Short and sweet: I dated this girl, got extremely attached to her, everything was perfect and we had an amazing relationship were we absolutely put the other person before ourselves. Everything was perfect. Parents got involved [they are completely against dating of any kind] and separated us for 3 months... we are both extremely religious, and I wont disobey her parent's wishes and neither will she. We are now barely friends because we have been apart for so long and her parents influenced her... It's been 6 more months, but the pain is like yesterday was the day I was told to leave her alone :(

I told her everything about me, I honestly hid nothing... we communicated via email while she was over in Europe and her parents got a hold of all the emails [800 of them very emotional] and printed them out and highlighted them... we talked about being together forever and I believed that she would never leave my side no matter wait. Now I'm without her and it's hard to cope with the pain... I just want her, that's all, I just want to hold her again and talk to her like I used to... I don't know what to do... how can I heal?

I know she hurt me more than I can ever tell, but I love her more than I have ever loved anything, please don't suggest that I cause her pain in any way or form, I could never do that and would rather kill myself first.

Okay, so basically I'm kinda in trouble for emailing a girl, nothing wrong was said on my part or hers, her parents are just crazy overprotective. I ask that you read this and tell me if it sounds okay, and if there are any mistakes please.

(It is just a bunch of mumbo jumbo to make them a little less.... edgy. I personally feel that I have done nothing wrong.)

By not seeking your permission first, I believe that I violated your daughter and yourself. I hope that you do understand that every action I took, and ever word that I said, I hold myself accountable to my God and you. I pray that you inform me of anything and everything that you find fault in so that I might not stumble in the future.

My mother will be back on Wednesday, I sincerely ask that you allow me to talk to her first before anything else, that or it can happen as soon as Wednesday night, it is utterly not my decision, but a request.

I also ask that if you have an email that goes back to April 24 that you do not read the first three of that day, I said something about myself that I would only tell someone that I had complete faith in, but if you have read it, I ask that you don't tell my parents, due to it being my personal problem to deal with, and they would make me tell them everything about it, I just don't want to relive that.
