  • Is it important to drain my steam iron after each use?

    I just bought a steam iron for $50 to replace my $100 one that didn't even last a year. I never did drain the old one and I am wondering if that could have been the problem I used tap water in it. I want to take good care of my new one as I cannot afford a new one every year. Also, is tap water OK to use?
