  • Am I a sucker for thinking of forgiving him?

My husband has been pretty awful to me a lot for about 2 years of our 3 1/2 year marriage. He blamed the loss of our three babies on me that happened within a year, and got worse because I couldn't give him one and wasn't ready to try again. He treated me like **** because I have a child from a previous marriage. He cheated, accused me of cheating also and tried to prove I was cheating out of his own guilt. (I did not cheat that is not me) He was verbally dismissive or just plain mean to me and did not take care of me very well when I was sick. He causes fights and drama every time I have an important military duty or school exams. He didn't want to go to my high school reunion with me because he said i just wanted to show him off like a prize. He told me he doesn't think he can be a good husband to me then after I said fine we're separating he wants to win me back and even confessed his mistreatments to my dad. I love him but it may be to little too late. There is love though

  • What do you do if your spouse doesn't want to adopt and you do?

Just to give you a background, I have a daughter from a previous marriage who is 6. My husband and I tried for one of our own and lost three within a year in between my last two of three deployments to Iraq. I have had to have three D&C surgeries one following each loss. The first one I was nearly through the 1st trimester and went to my first ultrasound only to find therre was no heartbeat. I had to stay "pregnant" for 2 weeks ill out of my mind and knowing my baby was dead inside me. Then I deployed to my 3rd Iraq trip, came back I got pregnant again. Just weeks into that one I lost it as well, and we moved to Cali, got pregnant again and I am just emotionally and physically at the end of my rope. My husband waffled a bit but then told me I'm selfish for pushing when he isn't ready (initially he gave the green light) This was awhile ago, but I am still bothered. I want to be sensitive to his loss in all of this too but I think since I'll be the one sick if I get preggers.....

  • What is up with Scottish Food?

I have found that Scottish food in the U.S. is just awful!!!! Obviously it is the U.S. version but damn! I had this lady give me Scottish eggs and a whole host of other forgettable foods at a party. She claimed they were old family recipes but I wonder how her family survived if that is what they were being fed. (these scottish eggs tasted like they were wrapped in a shredded toilet paper/breadcrumb combo) Please tell me it isn't true that the food is bad there because it is in my top three places to retire and I'm not only part Scot but a total foodie. Any good recipes are welcome too....Help!

  • Vacation to Scotland, Englend, or Ireland?

I plan to go visit any of the above countries, so where is the best place to go? I am looking for a reasonable priced cottage maybe that is close enough to walk to if I need to stumble home in a Guiness filled stupor. Also, just looking for a nice area to rest, do some light shopping maybe or some fishing. I travel alot but it is almost never for R&R. The only vacations I get are when they move me to another duty station. I got R&R in Qatar in October 2006 but I was deployed to Iraq so it almost doesn't count....help:)

  • If your spouse cheated would you want to know? Would you prefer to hear it from them?

I know married couples who know their spouse cheats and they turn a blind eye, preferring to pretend it didn't happen or doesn't continue to happen. I know others who and others who fumbled and were honest and it lost them their marriage or relationship, and still others who talked it through and it made them stronger as a couple because they finally started to truly communicate.

  • Do you hate being pressured to date or not date someone because others approve or disapprove of the match?

Other people can go hang it as far as I am concerned so if I choose a man because of his appearance or his personality or both even, it is because I want it and if others don't like it then oh well because they aren't the one devoting to that relationship, I am.

  • Do you believe in "place filler" relationships?

No two people have the same chemistry so you never really know who will click and who won't but I'd rather get passed over by a person judging me not to their liking than have someone date me out of pity or boredom to fill time until something better comes about.

Plus, people are so bound up by what others think that they stopped listening to themselves. You remember that knot in your stomache or the time you mentally shopped for a new dress or god forbid partner during intimate times? Yeah that was the inner you trying to say you should have had a V8 instead:)

  • Would you prefer and honest "whore" or a lying "Angel"?

I respect a man more who can state honestly that they are just in something for physical interactions, rather than get lied to and fleeced over and over by a smooth talker that thinks committment is the road to my britches. Don't get me wrong I would not necessarily take a guy up on a bold offer (especially if they are lewd and deisrespectful in the delivery) but the honesty can get even the most morally flawed guy points.

  • What is your take on the new marine Corps tattoo regulations?

I am just glad I got my forearm tattoos before the cut off. I thought about what I wanted and where for over 7 1/2 years so I was glad about my decision (I do not plan to ever get anymore though) I think they are being too restrictive personally. I agree that nothing from the neck up or wrists down should be allowed due to our dress uniforms but the rest should be fair game if the tattoo meets the appropriateness of design requirements (no swastikas....did I spell that right? Or any gang related stuff) I could give a cr@p about naked fairies and women and stuff since I am not so insecure that seeing that stuff bothers me, but over all I think people are being judged on their proficiency as an overall Marine by their tattoos and that is garbage (anyone in the military knows as well as I do that a clean cut turd is worse than one who may be rough around the edges but knows their stuff and knows how to lead)

  • Why do people protest outside military installations?

I'm all for freedom of speech but it cracks me up when people camp outside military installations and protest stuff like any of us on that base there are even paid enough money to resolve tha high level garbage they are whining about. Furthermore they are whining like they are the ones missing holidays, births, and puting themselves in harms way like our people do. It makes no sense to me and it is ridiculous. It is like me going to the home of a waitress at waffle house and picketing for the owner to bring back my favorite waffle combo to the menu....like she can do a damn thing about it right? In the mean time these people are like speed bumps. They crown the entrance ways we need to cross to get to work on time (we actually get charged and lose rank and pay for not being to work on time by the way) Just a thought...

  • How do you all view us Americans?

I have travelled a lot but the thing I always wondered is if other countries automatically assume all Americans are rude, or are we just given a chance to make our own impressions? I used to go to Canada a lot and I noticed there were bars that the Americans knew nothing of and I only knew about because my Canadian friends took me there. They didn't want us invading everywhere I guess.

  • Would you ever want to go see a live bullfight?

Aside from the issues with the fighter bulls being sick and the meat being sold anyway after they are killed, I think it would be interesting to see a bullfight live just once in my life. The bulls are very expensive so when they are done with the fighting they are killed and the meat is sold for high prices. To discover the cows are sick means the meat can't be sold and an expensive animal was just wasted. Some say it is cruel but all I know is that even with a sword in hand I would not want to be that toreador......that bull knows how to handle their business. Plus it is a very historical practice that is still thriving and we have so few of those left in this world.

  • does anyone else have an issue with being told they can't write in all cap????

SOME PERSON WITH NO PEOPLE SKILLS MADE THIS CRAP UP BECAUSE THEY HAVE NO OTHER CONTACT WITH HUMANS EXCEPT THROUGH COMPUTERS. THEREFORE, THEY STARTED PRETENDING PEOPLE WERE BEING "RUDE BY WRITING IN ALL CAPS TO WRITE THEM. NEWS FLASH BUDDY, NOT EVERYONE IS OUT TO HURT YOUR FEELINGS TODAY. TYPING IN CAPS IS SO MUCH EASIER AND AS LONG AS A PERSON INSERTS THE PROPER EMOTICONS I SEE NO REASON THAT CAPS SHOULD BE UNACCEPTABLE. PLUS IF YOU HAVE A MESSAGE THAT DOES NOT DISRESPECT OTHERS IN YOUR TYPING THAN THERE SHOULD BE NO ISSUE AT ALL. I HAVE HAD PEOPLE TRY TO SHAME ME FOR THIS LIKE I HAVE DONE SOMETHING WRONG WHEN I STRONGLY PROTEST THAT I EVEN HAVE. WE HAVE A RIGHT TO TYPE IN ALL CAPS IF WE PLEASE. IF MY MESSAGE IS LEWD OR ILLEGAL I CAN UNDERSTAND CENSURE OF SOME SORT BUT THIS IS RIDICULOUS! NOW THAT IS AN EXCLAMATION POINT BECAUSE I REALLY MEAN WHAT I JUST WROTE. DON'T GO THINKING I'M SCREAMING AT YOU NOW:) LOL I WOULDN'T WANT TO MAKE SOME TOUCHY FOOL CRY. LOL:)

  • Why do people get angry at others who have different religious beliefs?

I get so frickin sick of people getting angry at others who have different religious convictions. They do and say horrible things in the name of prophets who preach peace and acceptance. They always seem to have a bible or religious writing passage backing up their warped view too, like words in a book give them a right to act ugly to others. If I killed someone tomorrow and said the bible told me it was ok, it doesn't mean I am all of a sudden right.
