  • Can I install a different driver for my touchpad?

I have an HP laptop with a Synaptics touchpad & driver. My question is: can I install a different driver that will still work correctly with my touchpad?

I like the scrolling feature that my friend's Dell laptop has for continuous scrolling

Also, does the Dell laptop driver allow for "touch zones"?

Synaptics has a feature where each of the four corners can be set to have a different action. e.g. I tap the top left to middle click, tap the top right to maximize, bottom right to minimize and bottom left set to type out my username.

  • Would it be cruel to name a boy Ashley?

I'm only in my teens and FAR from having a kid, but I always kind of like that name for a boy; after all, it was originally a male name, but somehow it became exceedingly popular for females.

In short, would a boy named Ashley get teased a lot, and should I NOT name a boy Ashley when I decide to have kids? I could always just call him Ash.

  • Do Green Card Residents of the United States pay the same taxes as full-fledged citizens?

I was just wondering about this as we were learning about "No taxation without representation" in history class. Since Green Card Holders don't have the right to vote, shouldn't they be taxed less (not rhetorical, answers to this sub-question appreciated as well)?

  • What are my chances of getting into the colleges of my choice?

My colleges of choice are as follows. The first three are my top choices, and the ones after are my "ehh... kinda wanna go there but not especially" choices.

    1) Columbia University

    2) Northwestern University

    3) NYU (especially Stern)

    4) Boston College

    5) Northeastern University

    6) Berkeley Cal

    7) University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill

    8) College of William and Mary

My weighted GPA is currently 4.273 (I don't know what it would be unweighted, I would have to ask). I join many school activities and clubs, but my weak spot is athletics. I only play tennis. I'm only a sophomore, but it's never too early to start thinking about these things. I want to be in the spring musical, but it would conflict with tennis.
