Why is there no MOTD tonight for Manchester City vs Liverpool?
The match between the champions and runners-up surely deserves some highlights this evening?!

Alonso and Vettel in the same team? Alonso out, Vettel in? Or is it all just rumours?

The 'Option' tyre is preferred and is usually used for more laps in a race than the 'Prime' tyre. Surely the naming should be switched around!
2 AnswersFormula One10 years agoWhy does the Indian team not want to use DRS for lbw decisions?
Surely it is far more accurate than an on field umpire estimating "by eye" whether the ball would have gone on to hit the stumps.

I have been looking for hotels in Zurich, Switzerland and have found a couple that are much cheaper on http://www.onhotels.com/ and http://vivastay.com/ than on the hotels' own website and 'known' travel websites like expedia and hotels.com. Has anyone used onhotels and vivastay before?

5 AnswersEnglish Football1 decade agoWould there really be a shortage of bankers if their bonuses were capped?
Being a student, I see so many of my fellow students applying for a very low number of graduate positions in the City - the demand is much lower than the supply. If bankers' bonuses were capped, and the best ones did leave to go overseas, it seems to me that we have a ready supply of people that can be taught maths and greed to fill the shortage. So, is this "danger" to our economy of losing our bankers a real one?
14 AnswersPolitics1 decade agoShould a political party shift its ideals in order to be elected?
Some commentators are criticising the Labour Party for moving back to the political left (possibly making it unelectable). But is there a point in moving/staying to the right in order to be elected, when that type of politics is not supported by the majority of its followers?

3 AnswersHistory1 decade agoShould I contact her again?
I met this girl (friend of a friend) at a party and we got on well together. We've met at a few more parties and with mutual friends and have been exchanging messages on facebook once or twice a day. Last week she asked me (after I offered) to help her out with preparing for an interview she had, which I did and she came over to my place and that went fine.
I phoned her after her interview to ask her how it went, but she didn't pick up. Following day she sent me a message on facebook saying she didn't have her phone on her and asking what my call was about. So I replied asking how her interview went and if she'd like to go for coffee some time this week.
She hasn't replied to this message and it's been almost 3 days (she replied to all previous messages within a few hours), but I know she's been on facebook several times since. I tried to talk to her on fb chat this morning but she said she had to go offline.
So, is this her indirect way of saying "no" or does she want to be pursued and should i message/call her again?

10 AnswersFormula One1 decade agoDo we have any sovereignty to lose to Europe?
A lot of people are saying that if the Lisbon Treaty is ratified we'll be losing some of "our" sovereignty to the EU. But how much sovereignty do we, the people, have anyway? We elect our MPs and councillors based on their manifestos but these very often change once they get to power. So, will it make any difference to us that a bunch of bureaucrats are making a decision in Brussels rather than a political class in Westminster?
7 AnswersPolitics1 decade agoWhy didn't Derren Brown show his lottery number PREDICTION before the actual draw?
He said that, according to Camelot, the BBC have a legal right to announce the lottery numbers first. Why would this affect Derren Brown as he would be announcing his prediction, not the actual numbers that would be drawn?
Also, if he wanted to prove more definitively that he had predicted the numbers correctly, he could have actually played the lottery, shown us his winning ticket, then declined to collect his winnings so that nobody else's winnings would be affected.
Makes me quite skeptical about what he did xD. Friday should be very interesting though! :)

15 AnswersTennis1 decade agoWhich is more important, freedom or equality?
Freedom allows society to go in any direction it chooses, including towards an unequal society.
Forced equality implies a lack of freedom of choice.
So which is the more important facet and why?
