  • My close friends did not attend my fathers wake/funeral service?

I am 16. My dad passed away last year, but I have recently been thinking of this a lot - my (then) 2 close friends did not attend his service, even though they both promised they would go to support me. People from school who I rarely speak to even came. The PRINCIPAL of my school came, and he has an entire building to run. When I went back to school a week later, they both pretended like nothing happened. I pushed them out of my life almost immediately after, and I have new friends who support me in every way. Was it right for me to push these 2 friends out of my life? It just really bothered me, and it still bothers me to this day.

  • Is this my period or not?

    (I'm 14 years old)

I've never ever gotten my period before, I've just gotten a lot of discharge. Last night, I went to the washroom and I looked at my underwear (I wear pantliners) and there was a large brownish/blackish stain. I immediately kind of knew it was my period, but I wasn't sure because the "blood" was that colour; brown/black. (I know I didn't shart myself hahaha I definitely would've known if I did) After I saw the stain, I changed my underwear, put a new pantliner on, and went to bed. When I woke up this morning, there was another dried stain of the same colour. After that I decided to just wear a pad for the rest of the day.

I had no idea that this was going to happen, there was no warning like cramps or anything, so is this my period? Is it normal to be a brownish/blackish colour? Thaaaanks.

  • How to calculate the slopes of the midsegments of PQR?

    P(-2, 5) Q(4, 1) and R(2, -3).

I've already figured out the coordinates of the midpoints of the three sides of PQR, they are X(1, 3) Y(3, -1) and Z(0,1).

How do I calculate the slopes of the midsegments of PQR?

  • math makes me feel incredibly anxious and dumb?

First of all I'm really shy and antisocial, keep that in mind

Tomorrow will be the 5th week of school since starting early this September, and I hate it so much. School makes me feel awful about myself. Not generally school, but some of my classes, especially math class. I honestly don't understand at all what I'm "learning" in math. Most times in math class I want to burst out crying because everyone else around me is understanding the math and they're all on question 14 while I'm still stuck on question 1. I'm in academic math, and I completely regret taking it. And I can't drop down to a lower level. I'm too shy to ask my teacher for help. Most of the time when I do ask for help I'll say "Ohh I get it now" even though I really do not. I have almost full on anxiety attacks all of the time because my teacher will assign so much homework like for this past weekend I was looking forward to relaxing and chilling out for a bit instead of being anxious but no, my teacher assigned 22 questions and I don't understand any of it. I'm so scared to ask for help because I'm scared and worried my teacher's going to think I'm stupid for not getting it. I'm so behind on math, it gives me constant anxiety and depression and I haven't been eating because my stomach is so nervous. What do I do???

Apparently I have to use either the substitution method or the elimination method.

Can anyone help me with this?

  • why is my dad so angry all the time?

whenever something doesn't go his way he get's really mad and he swears and yells and it scares me a lot. he usually doesn't do this.

for example like 10 seconds ago he was trying to log into his e-mail and he got the password wrong once and he like growled and said "stupid son of a *****" under his breath; i hate it when he swears because it scares me so much. also a couple hours ago he was on the (home) phone and then the phone glitched and i guess it hung up but it wasn't a big deal because it was just his friend he was talking to, but still he stormed into the kitchen, and slammed the phone onto the counter so loud it made me jump and he grabbed another wireless phone and stormed off. this is a daily thing.

why is my dad so mad?

  • Should I invite my frenemy to my birthday party?

    Frenemy: Friend/enemy

My birthday is next week, and I am having my party this weekend.

This "friend" is rude to me most of the time, and annoying.

    Let's call her Mackenzie

Mackenzie is apart of my group of friends, there are 6 of us including her.

I'm planning on inviting 4 (discluding myself, and another friend who can't make it)

Mackenzie.....she just does little things on purpose to bug me. She treats me like she is my only friend. She has ditched me plenty of times at lunch at school, leaving me eating alone in the library.

I asked my mom for advice on inviting her or not, and she said that "I can't really not invite her because I have been friends with her for so long". I guess she's right, but Mackenzie has changed so much since starting highschool. (We're in grade 9) She puts on way too much makeup, she has gotten in trouble a lot for not paying attention in class/texting in class, and apparently her grades aren't that good. She was never, ever like that in elementary school.

I don't know if I should invite her or not. Should I be the better person and invite her? Thank you.

  • I feel like I'm going to cry when I don't understand something in my classes..?

I am basically a baby. I'm in Grade 9, and I am not used to the difficulty of the work I receive in my classes, mainly math. (I am in all academic classes, which where I live is as high as you can get in this grade). I have a huge phobia of failing. Failing basically anything. Even a little quiz or something not very important. I get really nervous a lot. Whenever I am in class, and I am doing work or whatever, I sometimes do not understand the work. This frustrates me to tears. I've cried in front of my math teacher twice, and It's only November and I started grade 9 in September. It is so embarrassing!!! It seems like he takes pity on me, or like feels bad for me or whatever. I'm scared if I cry in front of him again, he is going to think I am faking. But I am an extremely sensitive person!

Also, when I'm doing work in class, it doesn't help when I look around and see that my classmates are on question 12 and I'm on question 2. It makes me feel stupid. I usually get A's and B's, but on my last math test, I got a C+, maybe a B-. I almost started crying. Whenever I don't understand something, I think about how I am going to do on my final exams and other extremely important things...like grade 12 and university and I think about failing high school......omg it scares the absolute **** out of me. Is there any way to stop over-thinking, and being so emotional? Thanks.

  • Cat breathes sort of loud and heavy...?

His name is Rusty and he is 9 years old.

He is known for purring very loudly, and he has done so for his whole life. But lately I have noticed when he is resting, not fully asleep, he breathes loudly and his chest/stomach goes up and down, up and down. It doesn't seem to be hurting him, he shows no signs of pain. I don't know if he is purring very loudly, but hwy is his chest/stomach area moving up and down, rapidly? He eats dry food in the morning, wet food at night. He weighs 14 pounds, and he is an orange tabby cat.
