  • Have any of you bought one of those 4.5 ft prelit trees from Walgreens?

I see they're on sale for only $19.99 and I was wondering if anyone out there has purchased one already and can tell me what they think of it?! Thanks!

  • Which city should I visit? Miami or Ft Lauderdale?

Please give me pros/cons of both. My husband will be in Miami on business so we're trying to tie in our vacation to the end of his trip to save on plane tickets, etc. The time frame is March 29 through April 4th 2008. Also please give me some fun attractions in both cities. Tell me more about this monkey jungle I've heard of. Thanks in advance! : )

  • Can you please help me with this song title and artist?

This is a very old rnb soul type song (dustie). I'm pretty sure the title was something like Jungle Love. (((It's not Morris Day and the Time - It's not The Steve Miller Band - It's not Kool n the Gang Jungle Boogie))) The only lyrics to the song were just some woman talking in Spanish moaning like she was doing you know what. She said stuff like ay ay ay - you get the drift. Anyway, if anyone has a clue what this is I would love the help! I've been googling all morning with no luck at all. Thanks!

  • any advice on moving to another state or country?

my husband and i are considering moving out of state. i don't even know where to start with the preparations and where to move. we currently live in chicago and have no children. we both work full time and own a condo. we have little money saved. we both agree on moving to california, but i have no idea how to go about this! any advice from someone who has moved to another state or country? also - all of our family is here in chicago. we do have friends in the places we'd consider moving to, but that's it. also our jobs do not have locations in other states so we'd be starting from scratch -----

  • Any good baby shower games?

This is my sister's second baby, so I don't want to repeat the games from the last shower. I'm looking for funny ones - any suggestions?

FYI: The shower is being held in my not too large condo during the day and the baby is a girl.

    Thanks : )

  • my equilibrium seems off - any advice?

I've noticed that for the past 2 days my equilibrium seems off. I feel like I can't walk straight and I can feel myself leaning more towards the right. I also noticed that I sort of get my feet crossed lately when I'm walking too. I'm on Zoloft - is this a side effect? I was also bitten by a mosquito - is this a West Nile symptom? Any guidance would be appreciated. I am going to see my doctor on the 17th of September and I'm wondering if these symptoms could be put off until then or is this something more serious. I'm 30 years old, female, normal height/weight, no major surgeries or health issues. Thanks.

  • Is this going too far?

Is it ridiculous to leave the air conditioner on for your dogs? I have 2 dogs and it's going to be in the 90s this week. My husband says they're fine with just a fan, but it can get really hot in the condo. What do you think? Do they need the air conditioner or is the fan ok? I leave the windows open too with the fan in the window and a sheet for them to lay on with the blinds closed... Thanks!

  • I'm going to see ' Wicked ' on Saturday and...?

I'm looking for a good restaurant in the area - walking distance - so I can leave my car in the garage. It will be me and my Mother-in-Law so romance is not an issue. We're just looking for good food, good drinks, not too pricey. If you guys know of a restaurant with a river view that would be ideal! Give me any tips and/or pointers. Thanks guys : )

  • I have to repot a new plant, but the roots are coming thru the drain holes on the bottom of the pot...?

I'm ready to repot this thing, but I noticed that the roots are growing out of the drain holes. My question is should I trim the roots? Should I try to pull them through the holes? What will happen if I do either one? I don't want to kill this plant - I just got it!

  • Does anyone know of a good salon in the Logan Square / Humboldt Park area of Chicago?

I'm mixed race ( black and white ) and I have naturally curly hair. It's hard to find a hairdresser who can work with my hair type without always trying to force me to blowdry my hair straight. I always end up leaving the salong with my hair all frizzed out because the hairdresser didn't know what to do with it! So - I'm looking for recommendations for a good hairdresser in my part of town who is not too expensive and knows how to deal with my hair type! Any suggestions?
