UK HMRC question?
Hi all,
If I have spent £20,000+ setting up my business and have earned only 1/10th back this year in takings, how does HMRC sort it out?
I think I can earn up to 10k but as I see it I am down to the tune of approx. 18k.
A little confused as I had been planning on using some of the set up money for my wages but now can't.

3 AnswersEntertaining5 years agoOld school dinners UK?
Hi all,
I am trying to compile a list of dishes which were the staple of school canteens across the country in late 1970's-1990's.
I can remember deep fried spam and mash spuds and fish fingers, chips etc but for the life of me forget anything else bar pink custard! LOL
If any UK residents remember what they had, that would be great.
Thanks
5 AnswersOther - Food & Drink5 years agoI have been asked to organise the food at a charity event but have no idea what to charge them.?
My company has been approached by a charity tasked with providing food at a charity event for 2000 people.
The organisers will provide the food but I need to cook and serve it from my catering unit.
The trouble is , I have no idea what to charge the organiser for this who has asked me to do it. The organiser accepts that we must charge them but I really don t know where to start.
I would need to hire equipment and have 6 staff and whilst I have an idea of how much it might cost as a private event, I am stuck on what to charge as it is a charity and so might feel obliged to provide a free service..
My business cannot afford handouts but the organiser is very keen for me to do the event.
Any help would be great
2 AnswersSmall Business5 years agoPerishable stock loss UK?
Hi all,
Is there any way of off setting my stock losses when I do my tax returns please?
I buy perishable goods which can and do go off and need disposing of so I'm guessing this might be classed as a loss?
Any advice would be wonderful.
Thanks

In particular Milk from the US is not accepted , I know there are more but not sure why, apparently McDonalds use unfit meat in the states which wouldn't pass food regs in Europe.
Odd that

2 AnswersLondon6 years agoMonitor Power adapter bafflement?
Hi there forum,
I just bagged an Lcd monitor for nowt but have no power supply for it.
The rear panel says 12V 3.0A DC power supply, but I can't find any of this type, I've tried Maplin, play.com etc and all they suggest is 300mA, now I thought 3.0 A was 3000mA?
Do I need to go back to electronic school basics?
And I don't think 'bafflement' is a word either
