Warning: This question may be extremely dumb, because I know nothing about phones.

I'm interested in purchasing the Samsung Memoir T929 from Ebay. My phone was stolen/misplaced a few months ago. I have Verizon Wireless and the selection of "basic" phones is pretty terrible (there's only 11 phones available and their styles/reviews aren't the greatest). I really don't need a smart phone and I understand it's too costly for my parents, but since I'm going to be a senior next year and I'm going to get a job/be out later I think I need a phone.

The Samsung Memoir is intended for T-Mobile. Only I have Verizon. If I buy the unlocked phone from here: http://www.ebay.com/itm/UNLOCKED-NEW-SAMSUNG-MEMOI... would it be compatible with Verizon?

Also is there anything I should be wary of, or any advice you want to give me? I heard that I should check if it's GSM? But how do I do that?...Also will I have issues texting because I heard some unlocked phones only offer voice services?

I took the June 2012 SAT and I just got my scores.

I'm satisfied with my CR score. (Still room for improvement) However I'm really displeased with my writing score. It's only a 91% which doesn't match up with the 98% in CR. I've always been a good reader, however I believe I'm equally as good as a writer. My average in AP English is about an A (I'd say 94-96). I expected to do better since I've gotten 0 incorrect a lot of times.

What really upset me was my essay score. To get a 4 from someone which means I only demonstrated "adequate development" is pretty dismaying. That's the equivalent to a 67/100. A 5 means pretty consistent development.

For math I've always been in advanced math, but it hasn't always been my strongest suit because I'm just not quick and I run out of time on these things especially when it's test day.

So do any of you have any tips? ESPECIALLY regarding the essay writing? I am a good writer, but I often struggle to come up with ideas/time. And would any of you be able to provide me with any book titles that specifically aid in grammar/essay and the math portion?

I have the college board book and I admit I didn't study from it that much. (I only reviewed math a little before the test) but from what I saw it just gave me obvious advice and the questions weren't that difficult. I think it even gave me false confidence to be honest ahaha.

So I usually get 1 gift from each person in my family. (Not extended family - just those living in my house)

Rather than that though I was hoping to get a good laptop/desktop.

In all honestly I don't get what's so great about laptops, to me they're the same as desktops. I get you can transport them, but idk I feel like that just encourages more sedentary. HOWEVER they do take up less space, which is a plus for me. So if the laptop is affordable and has better options perhaps I may get that.

So my question is:

What is the best laptop/desktop?

It has to have a lot of memory.

Be quick (my family currently shares an HP pavilion f1503 and it's kinda slow. It was good and served it's purpose but the wires are messed up and so the screen is green. Occasional sound issues...not ideal.)

Be compatible with Sony Vegas. (This is a huge MUST)

Price range: $300- $400 max.

IF the computer is extraordinary and costs more but will last me for years to come then you can also list that as an option. :)

Hey guys. I'm really worried that I have ADD.

I'm not sure that I do have ADD but was hoping some of you guys could help?

I always just labeled myself as a procrastinator, but I think procrastinators just put things off. While as I will go into something with the intention of completing a homework assignment, or reading my textbook and I cannot. I will dawdle away 6 or more hours. I am not exaggerating. It frightens me too because I cannot keep on going like this. I am taking 4 APs and this is my junior year and I truly feel this is affecting my grades.

I mean time will literally just pass me by. I have no value of time. To many people 30 minutes or an hour is a long period of time but to me it isn't. My showers are 1 hour usually. My meals take an hour. It's abnormal! I know it is. I don't even know what I do from a period of time to another.

For example: Today I woke up at 12:20 and spent 40 minutes replying to comments on YT. Which wasn't so bad for me. Then all of a sudden it was 1:30. Then I had gone down to eat to watch a 30 minute show (and I had finished eating by the end of it) and the next time I can physically remember seeing the time it was 3:00 pm. (And at that time I remember thinking I had finished the show at 2:30 but I do not remember clearly seeing the time). I was thinking: Oh okay I've only wasted a half hour that's not so bad. Then it was 3:40 then 4:39 or 4:45 & I ate and said to myself okay I'll finish eating by 5 (I finished that and perhaps some other dillydallying at 6:15) and then 6:30. At that time I went into the shower and came out at 7:30. I went to the computer and sat down hoping to type up my english assignment which I had already written and that still hasn't happened and it is now 9:51.

And from 3 to 6:30 I have been trying to watch a movie that is only 1 hr 40 min and only got 45 minutes in.

I feel so scatterbrained. I am intelligent but w/e this is (I just thought it was bad habits) holding me back. I sleep in my US class when it is boring. I'll be fine one minute but dozing off and while I initially accredited this to my lack of sleep (I sleep at 11:30 pm- 1 am sometimes 2 am and wake up either at 5 am or 5:30 or 6 am) I'll be fine in the class prior and in the class after. I willed myself not to fall asleep too but could not help it! I was physically kicking myself and pinching myself but nothing worked. I get easily frazzled. I can remember nothing. So many times today I have wondered: Why am I on the computer? What did I want to do? I lose practically everything. I don't remember if I've taken my medication. (My grandma reminds me). Just yesterday I came home at 6 from a friend's house because I knew I had to do work and did nothing from 6 to 2:10 am. No work at least. I worked on some video. When I have to do work and know I have to I'll busy myself with other things, like daydreaming or sleeping or eating or watching TV or anything really. And this really stresses me out.

I hope you can help. Is this "normal"? What type of doctor should I see?

I work with Sony Vegas to create videos and it won't let me render my video because it says the system is low on memory. I have deleted many of my other Sony Vegas projects & uninstalled many things and yet it is still low on memory. How do I resolve this?

I was never the tech savy one, but I decided to try a "win zip" trial to make opening .zip files easier. Anyways it really didn't end up helping me considering I barely understood how to use it, so I decided to uninstall it. Because it just proved more of a hassle for me. Anyways I went to control panel> add or remove programs> win zip and I uninstalled it. Then I believe it said to restart it to fully get if off the computer, however someone else had to use the computer after. Then the next time I tried to open a .zip file it wouldn't let me, saying I needed a program to open it up. However, before this whole trial I was able to manually open the zip file and drag the file out of the zip folder to another folder.

I have restarted my computer and waited several weeks yet it still hasn't fixed. I really do not want to pay money for something I was once able to do, especially since such programs are too complex for me. Please help.

Were they actually interfering in his progress or he just wanted to get rid of the powerful wizards and they were powerful.

DISCLAIMER: I'm up to the beginning of the fourth book so please no spoilers... I beg of you.

I heard of the latest Ashley Greene scandal, b/c some person was ranting about the people on TCA. So then I went and looked up the scandal.. and the comments from Twilight lovers basically refused to acknowledge the problem and attacked anyone who criticized Ashley.

This is just an example, I'm not trying to "hate on" Ashley Greene or whatever. [Though I feel as if this is just an inevitable scandal.. b/c no matter how many related problems arise another problem just like the previous one occurs!]

I mean how come it's so hard for people to acknowledge people's faults? And when people question why so and so is their role model after such an incident they'll DEFEND them! Do they see no wrong in what they did, are they just oblivious, or they don't care b/c it's their role model and nothing will tarnish the reputation they have of that person? I think it's the latter, which honestly frightens me a bit. What extent people will go to to cover something up or deny it just to keep that person as their idol? And WHY? Why don't people just accept the truth? No matter what they think, the "problem" still remains.

I get really annoyed when people talk ill of races, gays, and atheists.

I mean on YouTube this person said "for me as long as god plays a part in your religion your fine with me" but WHAT'S so wrong about not believing in God? Sure it may not be your religion, but basing character on one's beliefs? Solely on that and not his or her character, how is it fair to say that that person is BAD?

Even if this person did not mean it like that, there are millions of people who believe like that. But I mean, how can I expect people to get out of their prejudices when the very Pledge of Allegiance was AMENDED to include "one nation under god..." I just think that's offensive because there are plenty of US citizens who don't believe in God, so why ignore them?

That being said, why was the pledge amended in 1954 to include the phrase?

I'm personally not a drummer, but one of my "friends" is a drummer and I've recently been listening to drummers. It also helps that I wanted to learn how to play the instrument.

So I wanted to know who you like the best out of the three, and which one is the best drummer (speaking techinically wise & such). I know which one I like most, but since I'm not a drummer I can't really tell who's the "best."

[Is it 1/8 or 1/16?? Because the chances of 3 getting consecutively tails is 1/2*1/2*1/2= 1/8 BUT it says FOUR coins, so do you multiply by another 1/2??]

2.What is the probability of rolling two number cubes and getting a sum that is odd or a multiple of 3?

[I didn't get how to do this one at all. I figured out the chance of getting a sum that is 5/36 and the chance of getting a multiple of 3 is 4/36. Well I don't know if you'd count the same #s just reversed for the sum being odd.]

I just don't get it. I mean by someone adding you as a contact, it means they want to be your "friend" (or as close to it as a virtual relationship can get) for the most part. So why would you tell your friends, don't talk to me or acknowledge me if you're not so and so? Why would you "reject" someone?

I'm not trying to be mean, I just am curious as to why some people do that. They don't trust level ones?
