I have a new writing blog and after tweaking it, I'm finally happy with the layout and the way it looks. But I wouldn't mind a second or third (or however many) opinion.

If you the way it looks, great! If not, please let me know what you don't like. And please be constructive/polite.

Again, I'm asking about AESTHETIC quality, not subject material (not that it's anything controversial, mind you.)

I had dinner last night at a restaurant, and there was a bit of back-and-forth between myself and the waitress.

I'm thinking I can call the restaurant and say-

"Hi, is Sarah there? (I noticed her name-tag.) Maybe you remember me, I was that fellow who at the booth last night..."

Is that too, too forward? I'm thinking I'll say "I should've asked for your phone number." Certainly that's forward, but bold!

Any input is welcome.

She said she wanted to be friends but I was and still angry. But I don't want to cut off contact completely, but I don't know if that feeling is just longing.

Regardless, I blew it and she'll never be my girlfriend again. That bothers me, but she wants to be friends. That bothers me still; that's an old and trite, cliched thing to say. But I don't want to cut off ties. But maybe I should. Cutting off ties would show how hurt I am.

There are two types of diabetes; one is brought on by obesity. If a person is diagnosed with diabetes, wouldn't the change in diet and monitored sugar intake be very beneficial?

For a person to follow a doctrine that 'produces the most happiness' like utilitarianism, it seems like a utilitarian must be a vegetarian! But there must be exceptions...

I'm a Canadian in Nova Scotia who's aware there's suffering in third-world countries. Children who die of easily preventable diseases and people from starving. I want to donate to help, but most charities it seems take most of the money you donate. Is there any legitimate charities I access that will help me actually make some change over there?

What the hell is wrong with me?

To me, ethics are rooted in morals and emotion. To be objective though, you have to be impartial and logical. Can anyone see how or if the two can marry?
