My husband and I are TTC #2 for about 6 months now to no avail...

We had sex the 10th and the 12th I experienced some ovulation bleeding. I know that sperm can live up to 5 days in the reproductive system given the right "climate" ... but could the ovulation bleeding have had an effect on our chances for conception??

It is still too early to take an HPT, but I am having some early symptoms (that I had with #1) constant headaches, heavy and sore breasts, light cramping (which typically I do not have until the day AF arrives)

what do you all think??

about 6 weeks ago my 12 year old niece had her friend send my sister a text message stating that she (my niece) was molested. She is claiming that my father, her Grandpa did it, and that it happened when she was from the ages of 2-4. Anyone that knows my niece knows that she has issues with lying. We think that shes crying out for attention from my sister because she's always been pushed to the wayside for the "flavor of the month"... and anyone that knows my father knows that he would be completely incapable of doing so. Whats even worse is that my father is over seas right now and has no idea that this is going on, we don't want to tell him over the phone or e-mail... we know that this would destroy him hearing such accusations.

My mother is pushing my sister to get my niece help and get to the bottom of this and find out the truth, but all my sister says is, "Well, I took her once and the therapist says that sometimes bringing out the truth is more painful and to just leave it alone"... WHAT!?

We don't know what to do... how should we handle this? My sister doesn't want to persue this any father, she just says that my niece is fine...

I'm 39 weeks and 2 days and have been having contractions on and off for the past 3 days. Monday I had an appointment with my Dr. and was told that I am 70% effaced, 1 cm dilated, and the baby is -2 station.

Yesterday when I got home from work I went pee (per usual now-a-days!) and lost my mucus plug.. not just a little, but a lot.

Any idea or past experience to tell me as far as how soon I could go?? or any ideas on helping speed the process up a bit?? I'm getting antsy! I wanna know what I'm having already! :)

I don't know what to do about my sister...

She recently dated a tattoo artist for a period of about 9 months and in that time she has completely changed! For the worse!

When she started dating him she had one tattoo and was against getting another stating she has what she wants (her daughters name) and thats all she needs and that there is no reason for her to get another. She also had her bellybutton pierced....

But since the two dated she has added 2 more (stupid) tattoos... and an array of multiple piercings. One of which is a corset style piercing all the way down her rib cage... about 20 piercings total...

I am in no way shape or form against tattoos and piercings, because I have them myself... but I guess I just fear for my sister because this is totally out of character for her.

What should I do?? Do I say something to her about all of this? or should I just forget about it??.. I'm concerned for her and for the example she is setting for her daughter.

HELP!

Recently someone told me that they just found out they were pregnant. They are not sure how far along they are as they have not yet had their first appointment. What I am confused by is this: The last week of July she had to have a minor procedure done to her cervix to check for cervical cancer cells, and because of this procedure she had her IUD taken out (and left out until her cervix fully healed as they scraped away a lot of tissue). After the procedure she said that she had awful cramps and heavier than a normal period bleeding. Her doctor put her on bed rest for a week.

How on Earth could she be pregnant?!

I know that sounds silly of me to ask, but the timing just does not make sense to me. Hopefully someone has some answers for me.. Thank you!

My fiance & I are planning our wedding & we were interested in doing a ceremony & dinner reception cruise. The ship is docked while the ceremony takes place & then for the reception you go down to your respected area of the boat & enjoy food, open bar, & a dj.. which is all included & you cruise L. Mich.

The ceremony is $5000, but when you book a reception, you get 50% off...so that knocks it down to $2500.

For the reception: on their website the price per person is stated as $86-$120 per person. The company sent me a pdf file brochure & that states per person is starting @ $90.90 per person... & yesterday the one woman called me & said that for September 19, 09 the price per person is $157. Which I think is outrageous. Do you think I should call the company again & speak with someone else & see if I get a different answer? The first girl seems to be very slow in answering any of my e-mails or phone calls. I left a message @ 8:30 am & didnt hear back until 2:30 PM! What should I do?

Is there a website where I can put in my traits (blonde hair, blue eyes, ect.) and the father's traits (blonde hair, green eyes, ect.) and see what our baby is most likely to have? ... or is there a site that lists all the dominant and non-dominant traits?? I'm only 18 weeks along, but I'm DYING to know what our baby will look like... no way of knowing until (s)he is born.. but I'd at least like to daydream about it.. LOL! Thanks!

What colors do the UPS semi tractor and trailers come in? I've seen them come in brown cab with a light grey trailer, but has anyone seen an all brown UPS semi?? If so, does anyone know where I can see pictures of it?? Thank you!

I'm currently 17 weeks and 3 days pregnant...

I thought that I was 4 months and 1 week along.. + 3 days =)

But using the great world wide web and looking at info on being 17 weeks and all that fun stuff, A site said that I'm almost 5 months. That when I hit 18 weeks.. I will be into month 5. WHOA WHOA WHOA!! Did I miss something?? I know that some months (in pregnancy months) are counted differently.. but we're talking a matter of 2 weeks!!.... Did I miss something, or whats going on?? Which ways am I counting when I think Im 4 months and a week, and what way is the site counting going by 18 weeks is 5 months??

P.S. No I am not dumb.. I'm just confused! This is my first pregnancy... lol

Currently I am 17 weeks pregnant, and my father accepted a job overseas and will not be here for when I have the baby. This baby will be his first biological grandchild.. my mother was married before and her kids (my half sisters) have kids....and recently I posted a blog about his leave, and mentioned that it will be HIS first grandchild and he wont even be able to be here.

I was not trying to make it seem like my half-sisters' children arent important, because they are very important... but one of my sisters left a comment stating that it was unnecessary to separate the bio from the non-bio grandkids, and that my father has been "grandpa" to them for nearly 13 years..

I just see it as, he's been my dad for my whole life.. I've never known him as any other name, which my half-sisters call him by his first name.. which is fine with me. But him leaving I'm having a really hard time with this.. this baby will be his flesh, part of his heritage.. and it means a lot to me.

My fiance and I are looking to get some green in our front yard, particularly along the front fence due to heavy traffic, lack of privacy, and garbage constantly blowing around our front yard. We're hoping to knock out the noise, gain some privacy, and keep the garbage to a limited area so its easier to pick up. The thing is, is that in our town, you arent allowed to have a "privacy fence" in front of your house.. which also includes trees?shrubs over 5 ft tall. We're looking to get trees/shrubs similar looking to evergreen/pine trees that only get about 4 ft tall max. and are narrow in the spread out. I've searched high and low on different websites and stores online.. Does anyone know of such a creature and where we can purchase a bunch of them??

I am due September 30th, and I am taking the full 12 weeks off.. so I will be coming back from maternity leave January 2nd (depending on when I actually have the baby)..

About a month ago I told my boss that I am expecting and that when I return from maternity leave, I would like to drop my hours to 30 hours per week.. (in my office you need 30 hours to keep benefits), and I currently work about 42 now.. (I dont get the regularly scheduled day off during the week like everyone else. )... Everyone else in my office is at 36 hours per week.

Basically my boss told me no... that if they cut my hours down to 30, they will have to hire another full time employee to cover what I will not be working... which doesnt make sense to me at all!!!

Other than quitting, what options do I have, or what can I present to my boss to maybe at least convince him to give me an extra half day off somewhere?? ... I feel like I'm basically being forced to quit after I come back...

What should I do?

I keep worrying like I'm not pregnant... luckily for me morning sickness has gone.. but I'm not showing yet.. and I go to the doctor next April 7th...

is this a normal feeling?? please someone give me some piece of mind... =(

Im 3 months pregnant, and sometimes due to the morning sickness I forget to take my pill that morning, and by afternoon/evening, I am so dog tired that I just pass out.. Due to that, I try as much as possible to get as much folate as possible thru my diet (folic acid is the synthetic form)... I eat spinach all the time, a ton of oranges and orange juice, and tons and tons of fruits and veggies..

Do you girls know of anyother great food sources that are jam packed with folate??

I tried to look it up on the internet, but all it said was to take more vitamins....

The question was if it was possible for a 16 year old in the UK to get an abortion without her parents.

and my answer was a link to an EDUCATIONAL video that talked about abortion and what happens.. its title is "The Silent Scream".. I actually watched this video in Sex Ed Class. And Along with the link I stated to please watch the video and get as much info on abortion as possible before actually making her decision.

I dont feel as if I was in the wrong.. But what do you think?

Im 11 weeks and 6 days pregnant.. and i am tired ALL THE TIME! I feel bad because I havent been keeping up the house like I typically do, but I cant find the energy to finish a task...

I get close to 9 hours of sleep each night.. and on the weekends I am constantly taking naps.. What can I do to help my sleepiness!?! I need to get my house clean and my fiancee thinking Im not lazy!! lol.. HELP!

I'm filing my taxes and I dont know how to figure out my taxable interest? (I typically fill out the 1040EZ, but it states that if its over 1,500 Im not eligable. How do I find out what it is?

I am currently 11 weeks and 2 days pregnant, and yesterday I was on a website that lists everything that I should not eat..

List included: eggs (specifically the yolk), crab, shrimp, lunch meat unless steaming hot, MILK! unless organic, no raw vegetables and fruit.. and the list went on and on and on!!... Half of those things I am craving!!

Anyone have any advice for me.. or clarifications on some foods?? HELP!
