Do I go to nursing school (already accepted) or to medical school?
I have been accepted to nursing school, but before I took the entrance exam, I was developing a plan b: Medical school. Turns out, I really like plan b better. The problem? Nursing school is a guarantee, and I know I won't have a problem with the curriculum, but I am seven classes and the MCAT away from medical school. If I were younger, I wouldn't have this problem, I would do medical school in a heartbeat. I'm 30 and I still haven't started a family, so I feel like I have to choose between medical school and kids. My boyfriend says it is up to me, and I know I am the only one who can make this decision, but for once, I feel at a loss. My head spins with pros and cons of each decision. How do I decide?
2 AnswersHealth Care10 years agoShould we stay together?
There is a guy in Oregon that I met on a gaming site a few months ago. I live in Texas. He seemed really nice and we became friends almost immediately. I was married at the time, but since then my husband has passed away. This man was really helpful to me in my time of grief. He and I met a couple of months ago and we really hit it off...except that he can be annoying. That, coupled with the distance, has caused us to break up four times (all initiated by me) in the last couple months. The last time I was so utterly miserable I couldn't stop crying. Here's the real problem: When I don't have him I want him, when I have him I don't want him. I feel like I don't know what I want. I start back at college in the fall and he wants to move here to Texas before I start. I don't want him to do that, only to have to send him packing a week later because I either can't stand him or because he gets so homesick he has to leave. I don't want to hurt him again, but I'm starting to think that maybe I'm not so over my husband's sudden death. I just don't want him to hate me. Help!
1 AnswerSingles & Dating1 decade agoWhat is wrong with the computer?
I bought an IBM Thinkcentre at an outlet. It is a blank computer. We have Windows XP on a disk, but when we turn on the computer it reads "media test failure, check cable" and it will not load the program. The guy told us that we would need drivers, so we went online to find them and cannot. I am sooo frustrated that I want to take it back, but my hubby wants to keep trying. Help! Why isn't it loading the program, what drivers do I need, and where do I find them?

The college professor had just finished explaining an extremely important research project to his class. He emphasized that this paper was a requirement for passing his class, and that there would be only two acceptable excuses for it being late: a medically certifiable illness or a death in the student's immediate family. A student in the back of the classroom waved his hand and spoke up. "But what about extreme sexual exhaustion, professor?" Of course, the class exploded in laughter. When the students had finally settled down, the professor stared at the young man. "Well," he responded, "I guess you'll just have to learn to write with your other hand."

A man, who had accumulated massive wealth, was dying. He asked his wife to take all of his money out of the bank and to place it in a suitcase in the attic so he could take it to Heaven with him when he died. He passed away a short time later and his wife did as he asked. A couple of months went by and her curiosity finally got the best of her, so she went up into the attic to check on the money. To her surprise, it was still there.
"I knew it," she said. "I should have put it in the basement!"

So why does it seem that people are fishing for business? I have checked the profile of some of the answerers in this category and it appears like they just paste the same answers on every question, not to mention the fact that they all started within the last couple of days and they only answer questions about loans.
Are they just scam artists looking to prey on innocent people or are they using Y!A as a new marketing tool?

An older gentleman and his grandson were in the backyard playing when the boy spotted a worm on the ground. The boy bet his grandfather five dollars that he could put the earthworm back in its hole. The man agreed and watched the child run into the house. He came back out a couple minutes later with a can of hairspray. Picking up the worm, he sprayed it and it stiffened. He was then able to replace the worm in its hole. The grandfather handed him a five dollar bill and told the boy to wait outside while he took the can of hairspray back into the house. After a while, the man comes back out and hands the boy another five dollars. "What is this for?" asks the kid. "That is from your grandmother. She says 'Thank you'!"

2 AnswersPolls & Surveys1 decade agoDo you think people really want your honest opinions?
Or do you think they just want affirmation on what they have already decided on doing? I think few people fall into the first category, but most fall into the last. That is my honest opinion. What is yours?
4 AnswersSingles & Dating1 decade agoThinking of moving to Arizona?
The heat is not an issue, just hoping for some that is less oppressive than our muggy weather. We live in Texas, where he11 was invented. We are looking for something smallish: you know, low crime rate but still it has some shopping or is near a shopping center. Planning a trip for the fall and we're wanting to stop off in a few places to check out housing markets, costs of living, job markets, the usual. Just looking for suggested places to stop for a look-see. Any help would be appreciated.
5 AnswersPhoenix1 decade agoHow often do you completely clean the tank?
I just have one betta in a 5G tank. This is my first fishy friend and I don't want to kill him. I know you have to change 20% of the water once a week, but other than that I am clueless. Oh, and can I use bottled water instead of tap water? Please help!
5 AnswersFish1 decade agoCan anyone tell me about a program for infertile couples?
I live in Texas and we are wanting to have children. Unfortunately, my husband was "fixed" before we met. It has been 11 years since his vasectomy. Now he wants to have a baby with me, but all of the clinics in Texas charge between $8,000 and $16,000! We don't have that kind of money and a loan is out of the question due to credit issues. I have heard of programs that can help, but I cannot find any information. Please help!!
2 AnswersTrying to Conceive1 decade agoWould it be possible to follow a nurse around one day to see if it would be a good career choice?
I am interested in the nursing profession, but I am still unsure about it. I just think that it would be easier to follow someone and do research on the field, kind of like test driving the career. I love people. My whole family is in law enforcement. I am too, but I don't love it. I don't know anyone in any other field of work other than law enforcement and I want to branch out.
