  • How can I teach my dog to jog with me?

I take my dog for a lot of walks, but whenever I try to jog with him, he gets real excited and thinks it's a game. He's only a year and a half so he's very playful and has a lot of energy. When I try to jog with him, he runs ahead and then stops and waits for me to catch up, and then he jumps at me. I think he thinks going for a jog is like playing a game of chase. How do I get him to just run by my side without jumping on me? He doesn't normally jump on me, just when I try to run with him. I always end up giving up because it's so frustrating.

  • POLL: What percentage of your answers are serious?

I'm curious how many people here just leave smart a** answers and rarely leave good ones. If it's a good question, I'll give a thought out, serious answer, but since most of the questions are so stupid, I tend to leave pretty sarcastic and funny answers. I'd say probably only like 20% of my answers are serious. What about everyone else?

(And this IS a poll, so don't delete it!)

  • Why was this question deleted?

I asked "based on my avatar, how old do you think I am?" in P&S, and Yahoo deleted it saying it was a violation of their community guidelines or terms of service. How is that a violation? What rule did I break? Can anyone help me with that? I don't really care that it was deleted that much, but I'm just curious WHY it was deleted so I don't make the mistake again. Thanks for your help!

  • How come my questions never get answers?

I see some of the stupidest questions like "how do you have sex?" or "watermelon or strawberries" get 60 answers, but no matter what I ask, I'm lucky to even get an answer. If I ask an easy and fun one, it doesn't get noticed, if I ask a serious and intelligent one, I'll maybe get one or two answers. What the hell is going on?

  • Why does everyone look for some magical shortcut to weight loss?

I see the same question dozens of times every day: "How do I lose weight fast and easy?"

Unless you get liposuction done, you CAN'T lose weight fast and easy. It takes HARD WORK and TIME. People are always looking for some magical shortcut to weight loss, and it doesn't exist! You need to eat healthy and exercise, and you can't just do it for a week and expect to be in perfect shape. You need to change your entire lifestyle and stick to your exercise and diet for it to happen, and you won't see results right away. It's not something that happens overnight. I'm so annoyed by people always asking how they can lose weight without putting any effort into it.

So, my question is: Where did people get the idea that weight loss is something that can be done fast and easy? Has the media created this idea? Is it because of the thousands of so-called weight loss foods and plans that are marketed to young people? Why are people so determined to find a shortcut to weight loss instead of putting in the effort to eat healthy and exercise? The ONLY true way to lose weight is to eat healthy and exercise, stop looking for magical alternatives!

  • What guy's muscle looks best with clothes on?

This is for both girls and guys. Aesthetically, what muscle looks best on a guy when he is still clothed? Chest, shoulders, biceps, triceps, lats, traps, etc? I think it's probably the traps because the shirt hangs on the upper body in a more upright position, so it's really noticeable while still clothed, while the other muscles are hard to notice under a shirt. I think a lot of guys who are new to working out don't pay much attention to it, but it's probably one of the more important muscles for aesthetic purposes.

Even without a shirt on, it might be the traps, but with a shirt on, it has to be the traps, right? Thoughts?

  • Is it possible to only have one love handle?

I was wondering this at the gym today. If someone did all the oblique exercises for only one side, but never the other side, would they be toned on one side and have a love handle on the other? I would love to see that, it'd look awfully amusing!

  • Why Do Some People On Here Type Like This?

I see people who ask questions and answer questions capitalize every word. Why do they do this? Where have they ever learned that this was necessary? It takes more work and it's annoying as hell!

  • What do you think the best Eminem album is?

What do you think Eminem's best album is?

And what do you think his worst album is?

My personal opinion is Marshall Mathers LP is his best, and Encore is his worst.

  • Does anyone else like all white shoes?

Whenever I go shopping for new athletic shoes, I always end up getting sneakers that are all white. Not sure why, but I just think they look the best. They're plain and simple, but they look clean and just look great in the summer.

Anyone else like all white shoes? Thoughts on them? I'm curious if other people like them or if I'm the only one. :)

  • Should you be able to comment on other people's answers?

Sometimes when someone leaves an answer, I want to respond directly to their answer because I disagree or because I think it's a good answer, but I want to add something to it. So do you think you should be able to make a comment on other people's answers?

  • What is the best OTC product to whiten your teeth?

I want to whiten my teeth, but I find the Crest whitestrips are annoying and sometimes they hurt my teeth. I am curious what other people use and what they've found is the best product besides something they'd get from a dentist. It also needs to be reasonably priced, nothing too expensive!

  • On a job application, I did not check that they could contact a previous employer, am I disqualified?

I was filling out a job application, and I wasn't sure if one of my previous employers would give me a good reference, so I decided not to check the box that gives them permission to contact them because I figured I had enough other good references that I'd want them to check.

Now I'm regretting it and wondering if the HR will disqualify me because of that. I have the credentials and everything, and I don't even know if the employer would have said anything bad, but I just decided to leave the box blank because I thought it'd be safer. I didn't think it was a big deal at the time, but now I realize that must look like a major red flag to HR. Am I screwed? Is there anything else I can do? Thanks for your help!
