We've had the television for a little while and for a couple of weeks it seemed to be difficult to turn on. All of a sudden, it stopped working altogether. When plugged in, a little light at the bottom right, which should be a steady red, blinks. It cannot be turned on.

Is there any way to fix this outside of sending it out to the company? This is not an option as I do not believe there is a warranty anymore. Also, how can one safely discharge the capacitors so it can be worked on?

The powerbar it's plugged into is good, and the cord is good and IS connected properly to the television.

Everything was working fine until I started my computer this morning. Last night, some Windows Update installed itself. I shut it down and let it complete last night. Today, upon starting my computer, the Desktop Manager crashes. I click on Firefox, it crashes. I click on Explorer, it crashes. The only way I can even use Firefox now is to go into safe mode. It seems that I cannot even use a restore point. It fails every time.

Any tips?

I just reformatted and installed Firefox onto my computer. For some reason, I cannot make any use of the Address Bar or Search Bar. I can type words in, but nothing happens if I hit the Enter button or click on the Arrow/Search buttons. Can someone please help me, as I've been at this all night.

AVG is not installed, so the Safe Search has not disabled anything.

Is there a difference between the first and second gen when it comes to its battery? Can I order a battery replacement for the first gen to put in my second gen?

I love shows like "The Colony" and, recently, "I, Caveman". Both of which were on Discovery. Does anyone know of any similar survival shows? Series or otherwise, it's all good.

And Survivor doesn't count. I don't like that show in the slightest.

Everyone now and then, days, maybe even a week apart, my hard drive will start clicking constantly (thrashing). I've found the only way to solve this is to shut down my computer, and plug my hard drive into another port on my motherboard (I have four). Is the thrashing related to my motherboard? It seems strange to have to keep switching ports every time. And if it's not related to my motherboard, why does it make it stop? I've tried restarting and shutting down without switching the port and it keeps thrashing.

It had nearly a full charge of battery life, but all of a sudden it seemed to have died. The power button won't make it turn back on, it's not in sleep mode since I've tried the home button already, it doesn't charge when plugged in, and when I plug it into my computer, nothing pops up to show that it's even connected. Is there a way to fix it or does anyone have any idea as to what's going on?

It's an iPod Touch, second generation, I believe. No mic or camera. 32 GB of space, if that means anything that would help.

Okay, so I've started watching Usagi Drop and rather than wait for more episodes with nothing else to watch, I'm looking for anything similar.

The only two of this kind of anime I've ever watched was "Ashiteruze Baby" and of course "Usagi Drop." If there's any more of this type of storyline, please suggest it to me. :)

The flash animations will play properly in Firefox, but when I try to play them in Swiff Player, it seems as though layers are missing. Buttons are gone, certain elements like characters, backgrounds, etc disappear. What can I do to fix this?

I recently got myself a second hand set of dumbbells and barbells. I'm 25, fairly strong but I've never done weight lifting such as this before. I've moved furniture and such, but this is different. How much should I start lifting on either set and about how often and how much should I be increasing the weight? Any tips for how much lifting to do in a day is also appreciated.

I'm looking for suggestions for some PC games. I say I want a game for adults, but I'm NOT talking about a simple-minded sex simulator. I want a game that treats you like an adult, and has a good, involving story. I don't care if there's nudity or not. A little naughtiness is always good, however. ;) I enjoyed the decision making and the consequences of those decisions you'd get from games like Fallout and Mass Effect. Romance options in the suggestions would certainly be a bonus. Preferably, not just a single, forced romance like I've seen in some games. I like options.

I'm looking for a new SciFi series to watch since I'm bored. Live action, cartoon and CG are all acceptable so long as it's some good SciFi. :) I've watched all the Star Treks, the Star Wars Clone Wars series, Babylon 5, all the Stargates, Dr. Who, and Firefly.

I don't even know if there are any besides this, but if there are, please let me know! ^_^

The battery doesn't say not to recharge them, but it doesn't say rechargeable either.

Does anyone have any anime suggestions for me to watch? I want something with a bit of romance, but NOT set in highschool.

I'm curiously checking out different college courses. Architecture was one interest I have, but I can't afford to go to school for 5+ years for it. I'm in my mid-20's and I don't want to end up in my mid-30's trying to get a career for myself.

Basically, I like creative things like writing and drawing, and I also enjoy physics. Engineering and Architecture were two interests of mine, so what would be some others that would use one or both of the things I like?

I'm looking for PC games with elements of things I can keep/upgrade thoughout the game. In Overlord, I could upgrade my tower/armor/weapons and customize it, to an extent, to my liking. In Saints Row 2 (which is still lagging on me, ugh...) I was able to upgrade my home. I can't remember if Fable ever let me do that or not, but I own Fable already either way.

I have 2 cores. Each one is supposed to be running at 1.80 Ghz for a total of 3.60. Yet for some reason, I'm only getting one core's power. I'm stuck with 1.80. A few days ago, I had no trouble running my games and such, but now it takes much, much longer to do anything. Anyone know what could be causing this?

I'm running Windows XP.

A while back I downloaded a file from a website. It's on my desktop right now and it's size is 0 Kb. It can't be opened, can't be moved, can't be renamed and can't be deleted. I even tried using a couple of different unlocking programs but they both failed. How can I get this off my computer?

I'm a big fan of apocalyptic and post-apocalyptic movies and TV shows where it shows the struggle to survive. In the TV show "The Colony" they have to scavenge and gather food and water and there's always the threat that they could lose everything to raiders. Even "The Walking Dead" was similar to this.

Are there any good movies or TV shows of this type out there? Anything except for any of the "... of the Dead" series as I've seen them all, old and remakes.

My buddy and I are looking for GOOD co-op PC games. We enjoy games like Jedi Academy even though it's not really co-op.

We're looking for co-op, but will accept game suggestions with good multiplayer.

Please NO MMO PAY PER MONTH GAMES or suggestions involving RUNESCAPE.
