As reported earlier, by www.ewrestlingnews.com the new WWE NXT show will feature wrestlers from Florida Championship Wrestling, who will be paired off with WWE veterans in their quest to make it to the main roster.

Here's a look at the nine wrestlers who are expected to be part of WWE NXT: Season 1, which debuts next Tuesday night on Syfy:

- Justin Angel (FCW Champion)

- Daniel Bryan (formerly Bryan Danielson)

- Kaval (formerly Low Ki)

- Skip Sheffield

- Joe Hennig (son of Mr. Perfect Curt Hennig)

- Brett Dibiase (son of the Million Dollar man, brother of Ted Jr.)

- Darren Young

- Heath Slater

- Michael Tarver

During today's WWE conference call, Vince McMahon said that the WWE Survivor Series title is "obsolete." He added that the title has "outlasted its usage." He said they do not intend to use the name going forward.

WWE has been in talks with the SyFy network about the future of the ECW brand. WWE is planning a major re-branding and word is that WWE will still keep the 10pm time slot and may introduce a new TV show similar to WWE Superstars on WGN America.

Apparently the letters "ECW" may be gone soon.

WWE's new deal with Sky Sports in Great Britain seems to be finalized as WWE programs are now being listed in the January schedule. WWE Superstars will start airing on Sky Sports Saturday December 11th at 5pm on Sky Sports 3. Another new addition is This Week In WWE which will air on Eurosport starting January 3rd at 7.30am on Sky Sports 3. The rest of the programs seem to be confirmed for the actual airing times, including RAW live and ECW.

Former WWE World Tag Team champion Lance Cade signed a new contract with WWE at some point last week. Cade reported to WWE's developmental territory (Florida Championship Wrestling) this week.

Last night's episode of South Park featured a plot of Kyle, Stan, Cartman and the crew deciding to create their own backyard wrestling promotion after attending a WWE event. The episode featured animated versions of Edge, John Cena and Vince McMahon and lampooned the soap opera aspects of professional wrestling as well as fans who buy into the idea that the storylines are real.

The episode will replay this week on Comedy Central and is made available for viewing at www.southparkstudios.com as well.

WWE has changed the name of it's February pay-per-view to the Elimination Chamber, according to the Upcoming Pay-Per-Views list on WWE.com.

The original name was No Way Out.

Booker T is not expected to stay with TNA once his contract expires with the company. Booker, whose deal with TNA is rumored to expire in November (he signed with TNA in November 2007), reportedly refused to put over Matt Morgan at TNA Impact TV tapings in Orlando and the general feeling among those in the company is that this could have been the "last straw" in his rocky relationship with TNA management as of late.

Booker made it clear to various wrestlers during last week's overseas tour and again in the locker room at the TV tapings this week in Orlando that he has options in WWE and intends to return once he is contractually able to do so.

An issue arose with CM Punk and the way he dressed on the recent European tour. Apparently, the company felt he wasn't dressing like a world champion.

One story making the rounds is that Punk noted Cena's attire, and the office felt Punk was thinking he was on the same level of star as Cena. Punk certainly has his detractors within the company.

The InDemand preview for WWE Bragging Rights includes the following line: "Bragging Rights are on the line in a special SmackDown vs. Raw tag-team main event featuring winners of the night's matches."

There will be a series of matches on the WWE Bragging Rights card. The main event will have all the undercard winners joining in on a RAW vs. SmackDown! main event. The original plan called for fans to vote on the matches but that seems to be off now.

The creative team has been pushing to give CM Punk a bodyguard. Ezekiel Jackson had been rumored for the role, but the feeling is that working on ECW is the better place to develop him. Another option is Festus. The angle would be that Punk either got him off of his medication to make him normal, or that he is feeding him pills to control him.

Website MediaTakeOut.com is reporting that WWE has shown interest in signing Kanye West, who made headlines at last weekend's MTV VMAs event, as a wrestler.

According to the report, West was offered close to 10 million dollars to show up at three events – two television appearances and one PPV.

The article says that West would only have to do "light wrestling" and he is seriously considering the offer.
