What is up with all the Agnostic questions?
Back in my day it was primarily Christians vs. Atheists.
Now I come back to find a completely different (and apparently irrelevant) argument going on.
15 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoHow would one scientifically prove God?
How would that work?
Many Atheists claim that they would convert to Christianity if God were scientifically proven to exist. But how, exactly, would that be done?
Would we run some tests? Scribble out a few formulae and theorems? If God did exist, should he not by default transcend science and everything else we can comprehend? Because he created it in the first place?
18 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoNational Acheivement Semifinalist question?
Anyone who has applied for a scholarship as a semifinalist please answer this question!
For the required essay, you have the option of either typing it out or handwriting it in the space provided.
If you choose to type it out, must if fit in the exact amount of space as if you wrote it out?
It does say that the essay cannot be graded beyond the space that is provided but I'm not sure if that applies when you type it.
Thanks!

I mean seriously.
No, Christians, I'm not some Atheist again insulting the sanctity of your religion.
I'm asking both atheists and theists. Do you ever just laugh out loud at some of the stuff you read on here?
Personally, that's what keeps me coming back...

5 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoIs the Bible truly adequate for mankind?
I tried to ask this question before but didn't phrase it correctly so...
Life itself is amazingly complicated. With all the relationships, feelings, events, discoveries, morals, and values men face, it seems we are just struggling in the confusion.
And the Bible...when compared to all THIS...I find it sadly arcaic.
It doesn't cover half of the actual problems humans have to deal with (and I'm not even talking specifics).
I mean "Thou shalt not kill"??? When? What if a mother was to kill to protect her child? What about soldiers killing to protect their country? What about countless other situations?
My question is this: if the Bible and Christianity are so "holy" why are they so inadequete when it comes to the reality of living?
11 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoDo you all realize how complex life truly is?
The other day I was just sitting around thinking...
And it's not just a matter of "the human body is too complex to not have a creator".

I'm starting to get guilty pains over some of the mean things I've said to fools recently...or maybe that's just indigestion.

7 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoAtheists, are you absolutely certain there is no God?
I'm just curious.
Are you certain, beyond a doubt, that there is no supernatural deity (or other form of supernatural power...something we humans can't understand)?
If so, what reasons do you have for that certainty?
