  • Someone in the U.S. army flirting with my wife?

My wife has a friend from high school, and they were messaging on facebook and he was basically trying to hook up with my wife. She showed me, and I told him to back off and he got defensive and said he's in the military and I can't talk to him like that or I go to jail. Which I know is a bunch of crap, so I was wondering if him trying to come onto my wife sexually is grounds for dishonorable discharge or just getting him kicked out somehow?

  • Acne scars on back... way to make them go away?

When I was younger I had a horrible problem with acne on my back. Though I kept it very clean and used ointments I couldn't keep it away. Now, I've got a ton of scars on my back and can't seem to make those go away! I've looked up online how to make them go away, but can't seem to get a straight answer or a clear answer. Does anyone at all know of a surgical procedure or medicine or cream or anything that will make these awful blemishes go away? Thanks!

  • Thoughts or Feelings right before Salvation. Conviction?

First, I'd like to say that I do not mean to offend anyone who believes differently than me. If you don't believe the way I do, I totally respect that. I hope you'll do the same for me.

I'm kinda on to something in the sense of a musical perspective. Yes, I do know Christ as my best friend and Leader of my life, just to get that out there. Here's what I'm wanting to find out from You Guys! ... What was going on inside you and what you were thinking or feeling right at that moment before you accepted Christ? Or maybe in services where you started realizing that you need to accept Christ? Or a service that was just so powerful that you couldn't help but cry out to God for forgiveness? I just want to know what was going on inside you. I've already written down on paper how I felt, and it was pretty war-like inside of me, and I didn't want to do it, but I just felt so sick and tired of being sick and tired that I couldn't help but go to God. Before that, I hated the idea of God and church, and all that fun stuff. I wasn't an atheist, I knew something was out there, but it wasn't until I FELT God that I broke down and gave my life to Him! Pretty cool story, but enough about me, I wanna hear from everyone! This is for a song I'm writing, that's pretty much done, but I want more people's feeling in the song than just mine. It needs to reach everyone, not just me.

So, I'd like to ask that everyone refrain from nasty comments or answers, if you are going to say something mean, please don't waste your time, because It will not offend me, or make me mad... I'll just press the "report" button so I don't have to look at your answer, I won't even read all of it.

Thanks everyone, hope you guys have fun with this!

  • Do you have to get a passport to drive to Alaska from the lower 48?

Possibly a ferry ride from Washington state to Alaska without going to Canada, or does Canada have a highway system you can go through a checkpoint to enter and a checkpoint to leave into Alaska? I've heard lots of stuff but can't seem to get a good answer. Did a little research but it was all unclear and had multiple answers that were polar opposites of each other. Thanks for any help!

  • Windows Movie Maker will not save movie files.?

My version is XP Home Edition, NOT the 64bit version. I have Service Pack 3, everything is up to date. I've only used 1/3 or my total disk space. For some reason, for the last month Windows Movie Maker comes up with this very annoying message, "Windows Movie Maker cannot save the movie to the specified location. Verify that the original source files used in your movie are still available, that the saving location is still available, and that there is enough free disk space available." Whenever I try to save a video project as a movie file. Every file I used in the movie is in the original place, and in the place it was when I started making the video. I cannot understand as to why this stupid message is showing up. I'm the only user on the computer (I'm the admin). I'm trying to save it to my Desktop, my documents, and also shared documents. It saves nowhere! I appreciate any help you can give me. If you need more details I'll edit. Thanks a TON!!!

  • Importance of salt when in the backcountry...?

It doesn't seem to be a very common topic, so I would like to hear everyone's thoughts on the importance of consuming salt while hiking/backpacking.

  • Knife opinions and options?

Looking into getting a new fixed blade. The one I use now is getting chipped because the stress I put it through. It's 440 stainless. It's the Schrade that I always talk about on here. It's just not made for the jobs I need it for, and it's breaking. So, I'm wanting some of you guys' and gals' opinions on what fixed blade you prefer and why. Post links to where I can find them. I've searched for a while and just can't find one that I think is suitable. I do use a fixed blade to baton through wood to split it for firewood. I do not carry and axe. I have a saw to cut dead wood, and my fixed blade de-limbs and splits it. So it will get a good amount of stress. I just may get the one you suggest! If possible post links to reviews of that knife. Thanks guys!

  • Hiking event flyer. What would you write?

I'm leading a youth group on a day hike and I'm trying to design a flyer for the event to put up at some local churches. Really what I'm looking for is what you would say (maybe 5 or 6 sentences long) to let them know what we're doing. It's only youth 14 and up and it's a 4 mile hike round trip. The end of the trail there's an old steamer wreck from the 1800's. (Injun Creek Trail in Greenbriar of Tennessee if you want to look it up). The lunch and trail snacks and drinks will be provided for them and transportation as well. I've got all the details worked out, i just need a small paragraph to sort of "draw them in" i guess. I might be asking this in the wrong section, but i know that you guys know your stuff way better than I do. (Esp. Chris and MountainMan). Thanks for any help!

  • Opinion on a knife I got. Tell me what you think?

About two years ago I got a Damascus steel bowie knife simply for the fact that it was on sale for $24.00. Specifically it's the Colt Damascus Hunter from Smoky Mountain Knife Works. I'm not sure how many times they folded it while forging the steel, and i've tried figuring out and looking it up. Everyone across the internet seems to think Damascus is the next best thing to a lightsaber, and I was actually hoping to here some bad stuff about it on here. Pros and Cons. Is it known to chip? Everyone here seems to know their knife stuff pretty well, hoping I can get some insight as to just how good my knife is. I'm pretty much clueless on this right now, so teach me something. Thanks in advance!

  • I have an idea for a stew... tell me what you think?

I posted an answer to someones question about taking sandwiches and after that I had an idea that i'm going to try out this friday on my day off. Get some water and get it hot but not quite to a boil yet. Then put in some peppered beef jerky, green onions, red potatoes (chopped), then maybe something like a little rice or Ramen... Any suggestions? What would you do different? Or would you be the kind of person to look at that stew and think it was slop for pigs?

  • How to get pure water?

Let's say you're taking an multi day hike and you run out of water. Worse case scenario no one remembered to bring any means of starting a fire. How do you go about getting safe water that won't give you giardia?

  • What is your favorite knife/multi-tool to take camping/backpacking/general use and why?

I've got a Schrade fixed blade knife. It's strong and without a doubt my favorite. It's blade is about 4 1/2 inches. Has a very attractive burlwood handle. Keeps it's edge very well. I think this particular knife works with the way my hands are just right. I think the perfect knife will be different for everyone. I just want some ideas for a knife to check out in the future if this knife ever fails me. And I just like to see people brag about their knife!
