I am trying to transfer applications from my imac to my new macbook pro but both screens have said 4 hours & 16 mins remaining for hours

I started this over 12 hours ago and its only half way through and appears to be stuck, can I fix it without quitting?

My senior prom is coming up and I am at a loss of what to do with my hair. Could people suggest which styles would work best for me? (pictures are encouraged)

my hair is long (to the top of my chest), brown, very straight and very thin. I have an oval face, hazel eyes, and my dress is ruby red and strapless.

I think I would prefer a half up half down look curled, but I'm not sure about the specifics and I want it to look awesome and kinda unique. I'm not opposed to an up do as long as it's on the side a bit. i don't look so great if it's just my face in front and you can't see any hair.

I'm applying for a job online and the only job industry that babysitting kind of fits of the options they've given me is 'personal care & services'. should I put that or just say 'other'?

I missed the interview deadline because I wasn't sure if I was going to even try to apply to Duke until December. I applied 2 weeks ago and just got a call today that they want an alumni to interview me next week. I know this means they are considering me, but do they do this for everyone they are considering or just a few? Does this mean I have a good chance of getting in if it goes well??!!

Also, does anyone have tips for alumni interviews??? Thanks! :)

I can't think of anything that I really like. I want to name him after a fictional character with an eloquent, fantasy name. The ones I've thought of so far are Demetrius, Roran, Oberon, and Inigo, but none of them completely fit :(

I just recently found out that there are other sleep cycles that require less hours of sleep, but still allow you to achieve a healthy amount of REM sleep. I really want to try one over christmas break so I can get used to it, but I'm not sure how to incorporate it into my high school schedule.

I thought the Everyman Cycle would be the easiest to do, ( one 3 hr nap, three 20 min naps) but I know the 20 min naps have to be spaced out evenly or you'll feel really exhausted. The absolute latest I can get up for school is 6:10 AM and I don't get home until about 2:15 PM, but I'd rather nap a bit later for when I start doing after school stuff. I also babysit from 4PM to 5:30PM on fridays.

Can anyone suggest a healthy sleep cycle that would work for me (including times of each nap) that is similar to the Everyman cycle? Thank you!

I've been dating this guy for 2 weeks. Our friends set us up at our homecoming dance (we're both seniors in high school) and we ended up making out and becoming a couple. Since then we've hung out a bunch of time, some of which has been quality time, but the majority has been physical stuff. I've never been in a relationship like this, usually I'm best friends with the guy first and take things much much slower.

The other night I went over to his house and while making out among other things, he pulled out a condom and asked if I wanted to have sex. (He always asks me before doing anything new physically) I said no, and he let it go, but a few hours later he brought it up again, and when I again said no, he said 'but I have protection'. How do I explain to him without making it awkward or hurting him that I don't want to have sex because

1. we've been dating for 2 weeks

2. I don't want to have sex if we're not in love with each other yet. I feel like we're starting to care more for each other, but it's definitely not at that level yet

3. He doesn't seem to see sex as something serious, which makes me question how mature he is. I know condoms are generally 98% effective against pregnancy, and as abortion is not an option for me, neither is pregnancy until I'm much older.

My parents have a very poor relationship and have absolutely no communication and fight constantly, so I've always been afraid of discussions within a relationship and am not sure how to do so without fighting.

I do want to see where this relationship goes, but I know we really need to talk before it gets out of hand, please give me tips for how to do so?

I'm applying early decision to JHU in a week, i just got my SAT scores back and taking my top scores i have an 1800. 620 CR, 600 math, and 580 writing

I have a 3.62 GPA unweighted and am 44/372 in my class

do I still have a goodish chance? This is really the only school i want to go to.

also, any tips for essay writing? that might be the only thing that can get me in and although I'm usually very good at writing I think all my attempts are terrible

I am applying there early decision and I can't afford to go there without being if debt my whole life unless I get good financial aid. My family makes about 80 thousand a year (it's a family of 6 so this isn't a whole lot). If people who have been accepted there can tell me how much they got, or if you personally know how much financial aid they generally give, that'd be great. Thank you! :)

I'm doing a school project (high school senior) on Wampanoag culture, but I can't find anything on their spirituality, which is what I'm most interested in. I can't really find any sites that are above a 2nd grade level for that matter. Can you please direct me to a good, adult reading level site with information on spirituality and such? thank you! :)

My period is 5 days late so far, and I've always had an exactly 28 day cycle and I've never missed one or been more than a day late. I know I'm not pregnant, still a virgin, but I'm worried that this means something else is wrong? This week I radically changed my diet from overdoing the junk food snacks to only eating healthy foods and attempting to exercise a bit, so could that be it? I'm not starving myself or anything, I'm getting enough calories, just all in fruit and whole grain and such. If this is the cause, is it unhealthy for me to be changing what I eat so quickly? I don't think it'll work for me if I try to change it more slowly because I tend to not be able to stop mindlessly eating bad foods once I start. Please help!

My hair is already brown and on the darker side, but I'm being Pocahontas for this Halloween thing me and my friends are doing, and was looking for a natural nonpermanent way to darken my hair. I've read that putting half and half cocoa powder and shampoo in your hair will darken in for a few days, but I want to make sure it actually works and wont do something bad to my hair. If anyone has actually tried this please tell me what your results were :)

I have an AP Bio scavenger hunt due in 2 days and i cannot find what the names of these plants are online! If you know what ANY of them are it would be very very much appreciated. I need to look up the scientific names so please please please be as specific as possible. For example, say what type of lily something is, not just that it's a lily. Also, if you happen to know the scientific name of the moss you'd find on a tree in a backyard I can't find that either, thank you! :)

I won't be 18 til next July but I really need to get a job before I go to college. I refuse to work in any fast food places as it sounds horrible, I'll pretty much take anything as long as its not a fast food place or grocery store or any food service place really. Any suggestions? If you could name a specific store or whatever that is most likely in the New England states that would be great :)

My hair has always been really long and straight and thin, and I really want to do something different with it. Any suggestions for hairstyles that are easy to do or haircuts I could get that would look good? I've thought about getting it really short, but I'm told thin hair doesn't look good too short, is this true? Picture examples would be awesome :)

They've been married for 19 years, and they don't believe in divorce so no that's not an option. And they refuse to go to couples therapy. This has been going on since I was about 9. They say they still love each other but they fight over every little thing and always have negative attitudes when speaking to one another. I try to break it up and point out that they both should be listening more and not be so quick to accuse and yell, but nothing works. They're just obsessed with who's at fault. Please help :( I'm looking for real constructive answers on how to get them to get along better.
