I was wondering what kind of treatment exists for chemosensory disorder (taste only). I have not had any type of chemotherapy nor am I on medication. This has been a lifelong suffering for me and I want it to end.

My knowledge of the stock market is pretty much limited to knowing that the NYSE is actually located in New York. I'd like to expand my knowledge of the market, know where to go to read about trends, and generally...pretty much anything I can. Any books and/or websites that you can recommend?

I am what is known as a "supertaster", meaning everything I eat has an extremely strong flavor to it. As a result, I had developed in my childhood a strong taste aversion to many foods out there that I've always wanted to eat. Some of the main things that I would love to eat is a simple salad; however, the taste and texture of the lettuce will make me gag the second it enters my mouth.

Is there either a medical or a pyschological treatment program out there that addresses this issue? I'm tired of eating the same 20 or so things for the past 30 years.

I'm moving into a new house in a few weeks where the previous tennant had a cat. Should I be worried about any type of "carry over" disease that my cat could possibly catch? For example, if his cat has leukemia, is there a chance that my cat could catch it?

I'm going to have the carpets cleaned prior to my moving in, too.

I've had a longlife problem with food intolerence and I was looking into hypnosis/hypnotherapy to assist. Here's my problem...

When I attempt to eat certain foods, mostly vegatables and fruits, the taste is too much and I have a gagging reflex. I've attempted several times over the years to force myself to eat something as simple as a salad, but to no avail...the gag reflex is just too strong. I can only assume that my mother catered to my attitudes at a very young age and as such, is reinforced by years of habit.

I want to be able to break this habit and eat healthy, and it appears that this is my last option. My only other option would be some kind of miracle surgury to kill my taste buds or something.

Has anyone had any type of experience like this that was solved by hypnosis/hypnotherapy? Thanks.
