  • Blu-Ray Player Questions...1080/720?

I’ve noticed that all current Blu-Ray players have the capability to output 1080p. My question is, are these players be able to display 720p also? I have a 720p HDTV, and I just wanted to make sure any Blu-Ray player would work with it.

*Also, could I get some recommendations for Blu-Ray Players? I’m going to be getting one soon, but have no idea which to buy.

  • Digital Tuner and Cable HELP?

I have a Magnavox DVD recorder with a digital tuner, which I use to record TV shows, etc. Here's my problem: ever since the DTV transition, my cable picture has gotten worse when it's connected to my recorder. When I put the cable into my LCD HDTV's tuner, the picture is far more clear and colorful. Does anyone have any idea why I can't get clear picture on my recorder's tuner? I mean, it's a digital tuner, so it should give me crystal clear picture. Any solutions?

  • Is PCH for real or no?

I registered on PCH.com earlier this month after seeing all those commercials on TV. I started getting all these emails from them telling me all these different ways I could get entries into their $5,000-a-week grand prize sweepstakes, and so on. Then today, I got another email from them, supposedly another way to enter, by verifying information, and possibly purchasing some merchandise, if I chose to. So I continued on through the pages to get to the final one, and chose not to order anything. So as I'm on the last page, I click submit to give them my entry, and then I get this pop up for some hair trimmer, and I try to exit it, then I'm taken to a page that says my entry was received, and that my order was processed. The problem is, I DIDN'T order anything! Then soon after I get an email from PCH saying my invoice will arrive in 2 weeks. Are they really going to send me something or is it all just a big scam to steal people's money? I'm not paying for something I didn't order. You know?

I also researched PCH quite a bit after this, and discovered this has happened to many people before...they get confirmation emails for orders they didn't place.

  • Should I install this?

I already have the McAfee Security Center (Virus Scan Plus) installed on my computer, and it works really good at protecting my computer and all that. My question is, should I install the Trend Micro Internet Security Pro V.2 software that my sister recently bought, or just leave my laptop as it is. I was thinking maybe to just install the Trend Micro, since it protects "total online security," but I wanna know if the program works as good as it says.

  • Am I Protected from this?

How do I find out if my computer has the Windows Update patch that protects me from the Downandup, Downadup, Kido!, or Conficker worms? I hear it's spreading rapidly, and I just don't want to get it.

  • Question about iTunes DRM Restrictions?

-I was reading the iTunes Plus FAQs on iTunes and I read that it has several restrictions, including burning the same playlist to a CD only 7 times. So does that mean you can burn whichever song as many times as you want as long as you make different playlists each time?

-Also, is it true that you can't upgrade individual songs previously purchased? Or can you? If you can't I think that's pure BS.

-Last question, does anyone know of any free programs that will remove the DRM from all my iTunes music purchases?

  • Why should I get a 2nd gen iPod Touch?

I was thinking of possibly getting a new iPod Touch, but I already have the 1st generation. The thing is I've heard there's not much difference between the 1st and 2nd generations, other than the new one has an external speaker and volume control buttons. Is there anything else that makes the new iPod touch more appealing and worth buying if you already have the original?

  • Will DTV really be any different from what we have now?

I have a lot of questions about the DTV transition taking place next month. I've heard that if you are currently a satellite or cable customer, that there will really not be any difference, is that true? I've also heard that we will get crystal clear picture and sound with the transition, but will we really? Will programs be presented in widescreen format or no? And last, will I need a Digital TV set to be able to view all the enhancements of this transition?

  • How do I create a Yahoo avatar?

I've had my new email for a few months now, and have yet to make one. I've gone to the yahoo avatars page, and it tells me I need the latest version of flash player to create my avatar. I'm not sure if mine is the latest version, so how can I check if it is or how can I update mine? Plus, is there any other ways to create avatars, because I know you can do it through the edit profile section of yahoo answers (here), but it tells me the exact same thing.

Where can I find a trial version of Microsoft Access 2007? I just need a trial for Access, not the rest of the Office software. I have the Home/Student edition, so I already have Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. I need Access for some school assignments and have no idea what to do or how to get it. Can anyone help?
