  • Cheap vinyl sheet flooring contain asbestos?

Did cheap vinyl sheet flooring contain asbestos in early 1960's? Or just the more expensive stuff? Doing some research on old Armstrong flooring that had hydrocord felt backing. Looks like it was the better grade material. Back just has Armstrong stamped on it. Nothing else as far as a "model"

  • one time exposure to asbestos?

Ripped up old sheet vinyl containing asbestos?

Ripped up 2 rooms of old sheet vinyl flooring. House building in 1962-1963. Flooring not glued down, so I just ripped it up in several pieces. Didn't think about it until after. Im sure that is had asbestos. One piece said "armstrong" and had a white/light brown paper type backing. The other had a brown/black backing. Like I said it wasn't glued down so the vinyl and paper didn't separate. Worried about future health effects from the short exposure. Didn't grind it or sand it or anything.

  • Could a moderate case of poison ivy on arm make your armpit hurt?

I have a pretty good case of poison ivy on my arm. Covers about 25-30% of it. Think enough it oozes. My armpit on that side hurts. Can't feel anything swollen in it but wondering if its just the poison ivy? No poison ivy in the armpit itself. It's all lower

  • Lupus????????????????

Low grade fevers off and on for almost a year. 100-100.9 Hot flashes that are usually worse in the morning. During the course of the last year have had rash on head and top of back. Comes and goes. In about week increments for months. Better lately. Dry, scaly, raised. Looks sort of like psoriasis or eczema. Have had recurring joint pains. Been to Dr. for back and bladder/kidney pain and discovered a budging disk. I blame back/bladder/kidney pain on that. Been to Dr. Several times. Even kept a log of the temperatures. Had Chest xrays, ct scans of abdomen/pelvis, etc. Blood work showed on several occasions elevated white count with no differential. highest was 14.7 others right around 12. Dr. was at a loss. Said we would watch things very closlely

Last week my wrists seemed sore. I thought I was getting the flu or something. That sort of ache. Around the same time my ankle began to bother me inside my boot, like the shoe was fitting wrong. Never has before. Have had this upper left chest pain for 3 days. Worse with deep breathing. (Not having a heart attack or Id already be dead).

Been doing some reading and wonder if it is lupus? No red rash on face but the others sound right? Sick of bothering the doctor. Does this sound right to anyone with Lupus?

  • stabbing chest pain while exhaling...NOT heart attack?

sharp stabbing upper left chest pain more on than off for 3 days. 3 fingers above nipple and 1-2 fingers to left of breast bone. far worse when exhaling all the way. or taking a deep breath, coughing laughing etc (7/10). for the 1st day it started worse when bending over laying down. Doesn't feel like heart burn/ GERD at all. Was a little better last night and worse again this morning. No sweating, no weakness, no short of breath, no fever, no course lung sounds, not tender to push on or move arm around etc., no cough. Just as a precaution have been taking Prilosec for three days. 32 year old male. Doesn't feel muscular. More visceral. Not a heart attack or I would have died already and dont have any other symptoms. Very painful at times

  • Pain in upper left chest......NOT a heart attack?

2 days ago I began to have pain in my upper left chest (3 or 4 fingers above nipple, and 2 or 3 to my left of the sternum). I began during they day when I bent over, and by evening was more or less constant and a 7/10. Worse when laying down and with exhalation or laughing, bearing down etc. Went to bed and was for some reason a little better. Woke the next morning and was almost as bad as before. Got a little better, but still almost a stabing pain in the same area when I exhale. 32 Year old male. No not heart attack, or aortic disection or Id be dead already.

  • What would cause a white blood cell count of 14.3?

What would cause a white count of 14.3, but with normal differential? By normal differential I mean that lymphocyte, neutrophil, esonphil, etc. is all within normal percentages. Shouldnt there be a shift to point you in a direction for diagnosis?

  • White patches behind tonsils? Tonsil/oral/throat cancer?

I have notice white patches behind my tonsils. I do not mean on the tonsil, but behind them. Between the tonsil and the posterior tonsillar pillar. They are not pus, but more like the skin is white. These "patches" are on both tonsils. Both tonsils are are of normal size with the right bigger. Slightly sore throat. Low grade fever off and on for several months. Intermittent right sided ear and neck pain. Before anyone states "go see a doc" I already have. Didn't seem worried, but was going to send me to ENT. Just wondering if anyone had a similar experience. Possible chronic tonsillitis? (not swollen of pus covered) Or something like cancer?

  • Low fever with psoriasis?

For a few months Ive noticed every week or so a rash on my head that appears to be psoriasis. Ive never had if before. It will come on, last a week then be gone for a week or so before returning. Ive also had a intermittent low grade fever and hot flashes. Lately after reviewing journals detailing the frequency and duration of both, Ive noticed that they seem to frequently occur at around the same time. What could this be? Ive never heard of fever and hot flashes with psoriasis
