Okay so my friend is 38 weeks and she is starting to have contractions between 3 and 5 minutes but the hospital won't do anything about it until she dilates more. The problem is that they had the baby hooked up to a monitor when she was in the hospital for her contractions and they saw that whenever my friend gets her contractions the baby's heart rate goes way way down. This is really concerning my friend's mother who is getting mad at the hospital bc they are saying that this happens all the time but it usually goes unnoticed bc usually the baby is not under a monitor. We are all concerned that maybe the baby is getting too big because maybe she is rolling over on her cord or laying on it of maybe it is getting caught up under her arm or head or something. My friend's mother is worried that maybe the cord is getting wrapped around the baby's neck or something and concerned that one of these times the baby's heart rate is going to go way down like that and not come back up. It only happens when my friend is having contractions. The hospital won't listen to them and they keep sending them home bc she is not dilated enough saying that it is natural for the heart rate of the baby to keep dropping like that. She literally was having contractions as they were walking out of the hospital. So is it really natural for the heart rate to drop like this during contractions and go way way low? And is it nothing to worry about or is the baby possibly cutting off her oxygen or something? Anything will help as I am at a loss when it comes to knowing anything about pregnancy. Thanks!!!

My friend is 39 weeks and she has been in and out of the hospital but she feels like it is about time for her little girl to come out. She is having contractions between 3 and 5 minutes, but she only 1 cm dilated. What are some good ways to help move along the process of dilation because the hospital won't do anything for her unless she is more dilated. Her contractions are full on but she is not dilating. I have heard about stuff like sex, spicy foods, pineapple, eggplant, car rides, walking, climbing stairs and rolling on a birthing ball.... but is there anything else out there that is really known to get the process going so she can go into hard labor? Anything would help, she is a first time mom and doesn't know what to expect. Thanks!

I have seen way too many posts on here from people that are under the impression that horse slaughter houses are sanitary and humane! It is a SLAUGHTER HOUSE! they SLAUGHTER horses! Does it sound humane? NO!

I was wondering if there was anybody out there who would do anything in their power to put an end to slaughter houses and start saving lives.

Killing horses like that is murder. No question. I understand putting a horse under if they are suffering, but people do not want their horses anymore so they send them off to be murdered. Not humane, not sanitary, and not okay at all.

There is a place called Habitat for Horses that takes care of horses that people do not want. They help them to rehabilitate from abusive owners and homes and they adopt them into loving families. Just because you do not want your horse anymore doesn't mean it should die.

Here is the website for Habitat for Horses and the bracelets that they are selling for $15 to help close down slaughter houses. Now I am asking is there anyone out there who thinks that these horses lives are worth at least that much?

This might be weird, but did anyone else cry on pages 722-724 in Breaking Dawn? I am not going to say what happened, but those of you who do know.. did you cry?

My 2 1/2 year old ferret is having some difficulties. He is getting really thin and dehydrated, and he doesn't like to move around at all. We gave him chicken broth to help him gain fluids, but we don't really know what is wrong w/ him. He might have problems w/ his back legs, but the vet isn't sure yet, because he doesn't have enough blood in his body to test. Please help me find out what is wrong with him!!!!!!

Still Too Cold

I am looking for a summer job in the surrounding areas of Plymouth, NH. I am 15 so I am right below the working age. Does anyone have any ideas as to how I could find a job at a horse farm or barn? (By the way; I do have a lot of experience with horses and I have worked at other barns.I can do English or Western.)
