3 AnswersMathematics6 years agoWhy try to score Wickets in T20 Cricket?
I am from the U.S. and to be honest find baseball slightly boring to watch. I Just get back from a European business trip and watched a bunch of cricket on TV. Saw some guy score a triple century …. Am finding it difficult to comprehend how you can watch someone bat for over 10 hours? But I digress….. I was watching some T20 world championship, and realized that the teams strategy made no sense to me… what am I missing here? Fact: they bowl the ball 120 times then the side is out… the “defense” is trying to score wickets… my question is WHY?
My strategy would be to get the worst player up to bat (one that has trouble scoring 6’s) and keep him up to bat as long as possible…. In other words Why is the defense concerned about trying to get the guy out in T20?
