I noticed that my very fast quad-core processor equipped computer was running noticeably slower. Then, my computer would randomly restrict me to my homepage and not let me go anywhere else (I'm lucky it let me stay here). I checked my system processes and an Idle system process was taking up 99% of my computer's power. I performed a malware and spyware scan and came up with nothing. I cleaned my registry, but it still took up 95-99% of my power. I have lots of memory. Should I just end the process?

I'm doing a report on marine life for AP Biology and I was wondering if tetrodotoxin can cause a state of unconscious/subconscious awareness that mimics death. Puffer fish, Porcupine fish, Ocean Sunfish, and Tigerfish carry the toxin, so maybe this may not be so crazy?
